I have become a little obsessed with the old slow cooker!! Was wondering if anyone had any good recipes or could recommend a decent cook book?

TIA :)

i don't really use a cookbook. the family favourite here is chicken drumsticks marinated in honey and soy and slowcooked for hours until they nearly fall apart and then eaten with fingers.

another easy thing is to look in the sauces aisle at woolies. most of the packet sauces have recipes on the back and they are really yummy and so easy to do. the apricot chicken, mongolian beef and lamb and the casseroles are really yummy. i try to use my slow cooker at least twice a week. saves so much time and i usually just cook up some pasta or rice and have that with whatever is in the pot. leftovers are great for lunch the next day too.

Sorry to hijack your thread op. :p Just wondering with the recipes on the back of the packet sauces.. i've notice most are just casserole recipes and I'm never sure how long to cook in the slow cooker and wether i need anything else.. any tips for this?

Billy that link is GREAT:yelclap: thank you so much.

BB&D I usually do the same, I have ribs in at the moment and the meat is just melting off mmmmm....:D

Crazyaboutbubs - hijack away!!! I tend to just chuck the meat veg and sauce in in the morning and just let it go until the evening, by that time the meat just disintegrates yum, yum, yum!!!

Thanks girls I'm off to find more great meals and:chef:
