Okay, on the 7th of December we are having a playgroup breakup. We are trying to organise some activites for the day. They made some bonbons the other day at playgroup.
The ages on the day will be from 19mths to 9. We are going to do a pin the nose on rudolf the red nose reindeer.
What activities do you think would suit them?

What about decoration ginger bread people. You could make some decorations, christmas cards, cardboard and cotton wool santa hats.

You could turn lots of things into a christmas theme. Musical chairs to christmas carols and things like that.

Hope that helps a little bit.

We are doing decorations etc like that at playgroup this week.
Maybe we could have a lolly hunt with candy canes? Or a guessing game with whats in the santa sack or stocking?

-yeah i was going to say a treasure hunt with candy canes, little wrapped chocolate santas/bells etc, maybe cheap xmas decorations or little xmas figerines and let the kids look for all of them- good for the older kids

-you could always do a christmas pinata if you could find one

-instead of simon says you could do santa says
-play a variety of christmas carols- only the first 10 seconds of so, and you can do this in groups if you like, and the first team to name each carol gets a point- say at the end of 10 songs whoever got the most right wins a prize

-whats the time santa claus-instead of whats the time mr woof
-you could do a xmas pass the parcel-instead of just lollies if you didnt want to put chcoolate in each layer you could put any xmasy themed cheap presents

hope that helped
i know there all for the 4 age group up, cant think of many young ones
