Just as the title says ...

What formula have you found to be the best?.

My 1 week old is on S26 gold alpha pro and he sometimes seems very unsettled and windy!..

I'm thinking of changing the formula once this tin runs out, so just looking for other peoples opinions.

Also, do YOU prepare bottles as needed or do YOU pre-prepare all your bottles for the 24 hour period???..

Thanks

I have heard wonders about Bellamy's Organic formula.

My DD is now on the toddler formula (she was BFed until my milk ran out now that I am pegnant) and I am finding it fantastic. Not at all the same as other stuff.. No sugar!! :yelclap:

Give the label a read when you go to the supermarket next. I have found that one to be the best so far. :)

I can't recommend highly enough the Nestle Nan Gold....fantastic.

I changed my bub at about 2-3 weeks onto it...I had a different bub - it is gentler on their digestion.

I wash, steralise and fill with boiled water all my bottles - keep them in fridge. Then when I need to make a bottle, I tip a little water out from the pre made bottle and add fresh boiling water in so it is luke warm and then add formula in - works best for me.

We have only ever used S26 Alpha Pro Gold with our girls and haven't had problems, thank goodness. Friends that are also using it say that they water it down more - if it's a 120ml bottle they put at least 150ml of water in it....

I make up all our bottles as we need it - boiled water goes into the bottle and then refrigerated say 120ml then at feed time kettle is boiled again and another 60ml of water added. Our girls like their bottles warm and this was the quickest way I could do it, heating up pre-made bottles took too long!

We used SMA for DS and it was great and well priced too. I have heard wonders about the Bellamy's though and if i happen to need formula for the next xhild then I'll be giving it a go.

I highly recommend Bellamy's Organic.
I tried DD on a few different Formula's before Bellamy's, pretty much all of them upset her stomach and gave her the runs.

I started DD on S26 Gold, but that made her constipated. The pharmacist suggested Nan Gold - we haven't looked back. She's like a different baby!

BUT every child is different. Some of my friends found Nan to be no good and prefer Karicare Gold, one used Karicare Gold but then changed to S26 Gold. Sometimes you just have to try different formulas before you find the right one... The only thing I would definitely recommend is getting the 'gold' version of whatever you choose.

Good luck - hopefully your DS becomes more settled soon :)

When #3 was little we found SMA to be the best for her, then when she was about 8mths we changed her onto Nan Pro Gold 2 and she's the best she's ever been. If I have BF issues with this next bubba, I'll be tempted to use Nan Pro Gold 1.

We started DS on NAN gold, and he had the greenest, stinkiest poos and never seemed settled, so we switched him to Karicare gold, but that gave him a rash all over his face, so now I have switched him to Heinz Nurture Gold. He is about to have his first bottle on it so fingers crossed it is the right one for him!!!! :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

Watering it down usually won't do much more than watering down regular milk would for adults.

But MORE powder should only be done on specific instructions from a doctor.

:iagree:This is exactly how I do it, it takes too long heating up a full bottle, especially with a hungry baby crying in your arms!!!
