I cant remember what was so appealling about getting drunk when I was 18. Yes, that was only a couple of years ago, but I just don't remember... I can't remember why it was just so much fun. It's my birthday next week...maybe I am getting old...
Why do all my friends find it so amusing??
Oh and for my amusement...
:smiliedance:+ :ecomcity: > :sunshine: > :barf:
I'm going crazy.

 IKWYM,
I used to go out 2 or 3 nights of the week and be fine the next day(before child) and I cant remember the point of it or how i managed to do it!!!!
Now I have on the occasion had a drink or 2 and even feel :barf: after that, I did have a night out recently still only had a few drinks and it took me almost 2 days to recover- not fun with a toddler screaming around the house!!
these days I'd rather eat cake than get drunk on my B'day :D

 I was the same. I loved to party...I used to go back to a friends house at 5am and keep partying till noon...and I'm think...WHAT WAS MY PROBLEM????
I like to be in bed by 8pm now...hehehe, evdiently I am practically an antique...
mmm...cake is good, but this birthday I want a caramel tart...
I'm at work- hate it, sending me batty from boredom...hell maybe I would be bored if I did some work...

Ohhhh...I like that idea...the thought of pristine white clothes on a manicured lawn, wearing a silly hatr sounds fun, though I don't know how baby vomit will go with bowling whites...???

good point. esp if they have just eaten pumpkin. maybe we could just knit ourselves some multicoloured uniforms so the vomit would blend in?

the lack of self control, the feeling sexier, the feelings and thoughts that you were a fun person, people liked you, you were bolder, more confident, less inhibited, and you could let the night do its thing, just see where it took you and jump on every bit of fun you could find!
music seemed more intence, feeling felt deeper, jokes seemed funnier, and there was a funny watery feeling thru the bosy like you were part of the party, not just at the party, you could feel the music, feel the laughter....
i cant explain, but i remember.
i think feeling those things would be more like to terrify me nowadays - i stopped drinking heavily when i was about 19, but had been drinking since midteens.
but that feeling of being out of control, just going with the flow and embracing the night, is more suited to young people without so many commitments.
now half the fun is sucked out, because we know there are bad consiquence if we do lose control, people depend on us, and we wrok too hard in our day to day lives to mess that up with one night of total irrespncibility. we value our possesions, and dont want drunks breaking them, we value our sleep, and ont need to be denighed the little we get, we value our children (not that i have one yet, lol), and know we have to face them the next day.
we cant just "let go and have fun" anymore, without taking 20 other things into consideration, therefore it isnt as simple as "i'm gonna have a good night" its more like hard work to balence it all

For me, it was just an excuse to catch up with my mates, and at the time my life felt like it had no real pourpose or direction, so I did it cause it was the only fun thing.
Now days I have much more to live for  but still enjoy the occasional drink.

Orange and beige diamond jumpers, with pink kettle cover styled hats...I got the idea from something I saw on the runways in Paris. Top is off with a grey elephant ear styled handbag, and the coke bottle glasses and we will be super styling...
And de toilet mothball would be the signature scent.

Good old go against the grain Danni here.....
I LOVED it and being a new mummy still miss it SOMETIMES......Yes my lil guy is more fulfilling and I certainly have NO time to do it these days but I loved my old life too!!
I love music, dancing the night away, flirting and yes.....a skin full of Vodka sky blues!!
I worked hard all week as a Real Estate agent and come Friday and Saturday I would let my hair down and spend some of my hard earned money enjoying myself with friends.
I would get home from work....crank up the stereo start drinking and spend the next couple of hrs doing my hair and make up....picking out a dress....while my girlfrineds slowly all rocked up ready to hit the town when 10pm rolled around!!!! Ye...HARRRRRR!!!!....:D
OH....how I missed the carefree days....:goodvibes:....and the pre-baby body to rock it all down!!...**Excuse me while I dream**...lol

Not a loser- you just scored platinum membership to our club though  I do totally agree with what you said. I think for me it was a confidence thing...now I am...wiser...I am more confident probably because I care less about peoples opinions. I happily parade an outfit down the street with a milk spit on my shirt (or my knitted bowling outfit). :smiliedance:

By that stage of the night my hair was probably a mess, make up ruined...so maybe not too hot...

Quilting would be fun- and also a nice way to decorate ones home if you were to hang them on the walls, spread them on the couch, and on every other available and suitable surface...

Did you ever "pose" in photos and feel really proud of them at the time, come home at 5am, pop them on myspace and then later on in that day...like 6pm...look at them and just go; "OMG that is the worst pic I have ever seen..."???
Its 11am. I am already contemplating a nap.
The most recent 'big night out' i have had, is staying out til 1am drinking cups of tea with a friend and *****ing.
Now that I no longer work I have nothing to ***** about.
I went to a concert one night a few weeks ago. All these drunk girls kept coming and sitting next to me as they were so drunk they couldnt stand anymore. They kept trying to talk to me. I was uncomfortable and embarrased for them. A year ago that was me! (BTW bar staff are much nicer to sober pregnant women, than abnoxious drunk folk)
It made me realise that what I have now is much more important and fulfilling than drinking an entire bottle of vodka, and chain smoking til 5am only to wipe out the rest of my weekend feeling sorry for myself and eating KFC....
Nap time!

not quite, but i did have quite a few nights where i came home, so proud, feeling all sexy, knowing i had been dancing really sexy and great and i was so cool that night, only to log onto a mates page the next day and see a photo of me dancing like a freakin loser, or with that "lets pretend i'm holding a mic" stance, or wrapped up in some guy i had been bragging about being LUSH, who turned out to be.... well lets say the worst was about 35, covered in attoos of naked women and snakes, and looked like he was on steroids.
ahhhh hindsight.
i think if i had a night like that now, i'd be so so so ashamed of myself, but back then i'd be rearin to do it all again!
 i never took my camera anywhere. i would of gotten drunk and probably lost it:o
i used to love going out with friend getting drunk and dancing. i would feel super hot after a few drinks - i probably wasnt though- then the next day recover from the hangover in the pool/at the beach.
now when i go out, when i do get drunk it usually me sitting drink then i stand up get a head spin and go- omg on to the water.
or ill be running around chatting and no realise how drunk i am till i get home and lay down:o:barf:

My nights out were often involved in going to metal night clubs like Switch in melbourne etc., I wasn't really into the normal nightclubs with the teeny boppers getting around everywhere.. no offence but you were probably the sort of people that p!ssed me off when I went out :p
Often had horrible whiplash the next day though , and the morning I woke up with my eyebrow ring half hanging out from being bashed in the head in the moshpit was a bit of a doozy :dizzy:
Now I am just wrecked from a day out swimming lol
I do miss just the social drinks, but not going out getting right off. Don't miss that much.

I used to do live bands and the gay clubs.
Maybe if you had of been wearing a knitted jumper no one would have taken the pictures in the first place....then you would have been shameless... I should have done the same, then I wouldn't have...flirted...with any...strange gents.

No offence taken. All the live music I saw was at indie clubs, so I probably would have really annoyed you....
I havent even had my bub yet...She WAS supposed to be due today, but making me wait....:hissy:'
I think its because you have a child. I havent even had my baby yet and already I'm overrrr all of that craap, drinking, hanging out with my mates until 3,4am.

Hmmm, I'm not fond of the garden, I might trip over or worse- get bit by a spider. Very dangerous spiders around- I saw it on a current affair, so it must be true. Better safe than sorry love.
Now now dear, where is the heritage green fabric squares for my quilt? I need to embroider gold trees on to the by christmas for the quilt.
