Hi all
Just wanted some thoughts on cot bumpers, are they an absolute no-no even when bubba is over 1? I always thought they were. The problem is my dd of 11months is a real wriggler. She has a grobag but she gets into some mad positions at night, such as working her way right to the top of the cot and banging her head and waking up! My mum keeps going on about getting some cot bumpers now shes a bit older but Im not too sure. Any thoughts and advice would be much appreciated. Cheers :)

Hi, I can't offer any advice per say but I am in a similar quandary with my 6 1/2 month old who is now always getting her legs stuck between the bars. I thought the bumper at Big W might be the go as she is under 12 months. It's called airwrap (I think) & I think it is supposed to be safer than the other normal kinds!
You can get SIDS safe ones.. I'd try googling them :)

I use one with my DS for the same reason. Started around 10 months too. Having it has stopped himself waking himself up by banging his head anyway. I just make sure it is tied on properly.
The airwrap is SIDS safe - or so they say on the packet. You can get it from BigW or baby shops. We mostly started using it to stop dummies falling under the cot when my ds was just over 1. It made a huge difference.
:iagree:
Yep, it's called an Airwrap. We had ours on for a while, but i found it annoying, when lowering the cot side it got in the way.
There's a website for it www.airwrap.com.au should be some info there :)
It doesn't say that it's Sids'n'Kids safe on the packaging, or the website, all it says is that it's safer than a cot bumper.
