As described, I have one boy crawling and climbing and the other not interested in either.

Daniel(the crawler/climber) is stealing Mason's dummy at every chance, Mason also steals Daniels but being currently immobile doesn't get the chance as often.

Daniel stops and stares when we say no, he seems to know that it is a warning, but it doesn't stop repeat behaviour, especially while we aren't right there watching the two.

This behaviour gets Mason very upset although I'm sure he would do the same just as frequently given the chance...

Is there any tried and true solution???

Cheers, Craig

The only thing I can suggest it attaching Mason's dummy to his shirt with one of those dummy clips. I guess his darling brother would still be able to pull the dummy out of Mason's mouth but at least Mason would (perhaps) be able to put his dummy back in.

Other than that I would keep persevering with the 'No' and perhaps also move him away from Mason when he does this.

HTH! :)

No point in disciplining at this age!

Pinning the dummy on as pp suggested should do the trick.

 Sorry about laughing...

but....

it doesn't get any better.

My twins are now almost 4 and the fighting, snatching and bullying just gets worse.

But you'll get used to it....

Have they started whacking each other on the head with toys yet????

In the meantime, I suggest removing the one who's crawling as soon as you see him heading towards the dummy.... distract him with something else... food always works well.

Or if you're really brave, you can try and get rid of the dummy altogether....

At this age it's all about intervention and redirection.
