Hey all im a 15 year old just outside brisbane and im expecting my first child on november the 29th i'd love to make friends and meet up with people who are willing to share advice or just talk about our experiences as our babies grow or even just to talk because alot of my friends refuse to speak to me now because of my situation and does anyone know how to get ahold of public housing because the place im in ive agreed to be out asap just because they dont need a teen and their child on top of their own life which is fine by me so please HELP ME OUT I REALLY NEEDA FRIEND AND SOME INFO :o

It sounds like you are having a rough time of it.
I think it stinks that your friends have abandoned you at such a difficult time :mad:

Can't help you out with the housing thing, I hope someone else has some insight for you.

I also live on the southside of Brisbane. I am 24 and have a 2yr old son. I am pregnant with bub number 2, due on nov 9th. If you want to chat you can email me... I can't say I know exactly what you are going thru coz I was 22 when my son was born, but my sis and a few friends have had bubs at around the age you are now so I have some idea of how hard it can be.

To help with your housing problem, try this link, it's for department of housing Qld http://www.housing.qld.gov.au/
If you click on 'renting a home' then 'renting from dept of public housing' you should be able to get the info and phone numbers you need from there. I don't think you'll have any probs qualifying, but there is always a waiting list, how long it is depends on what suburbs you want to live in.
