Gold Coast Birthing Centre?

Hello! Im 21 weeks already and wanting a natrual birth... Im not to sure if i would be how to have my baby though.I have had my babies at 36.6 and 36.5 weeks! Dose that matter at all? Anyone else had their babies there?

I am currently booked in to have my bub at the GC Birth Centre. Have you already booked in with them, or are you just thinking about it now? Sorry, I couldnt' tell from your post.

In terms of your due date and having the bub there, they do go by due dates and give you some leeway either side of this up to a point, I think a week or two either side. If you are over or way early the midwife will be with you for the birth but it'll bein the normal labour ward. But if you are usually early they may give you that date. You'll need to speak to them about it.

I'm not an expert on this, so if you are already booked in then speak to your midwife, and if you aren't booked in call them ASAP as I booked in when I was 6wks preg to make sure I got in, they are pretty popular!!

You may not be able to get in..basically they start taking people very early on.I got in at 5 weeks pregnant.
Also,you cannot birth in the centre if you go into labour before 37 weeks.
Good luck getting in,I had my waterbirth there 3 weeks ago.My midwife is fantastic,and I couldnt have asked for a better birthing experience:thumbsup:

Hi there, i'm guessing that your not booked in yet, as you would know everything you need to know if you are

because your babies have arrived before the magical 37wk mark, they most probably won't take you, as it will be quite on the cards this baby will come early too

you might still wanna ring up though, because your 21wks now they won't take you right away, if you meet their criteria, but will be put on a waiting list (i've knowen people to ring up just before 20wks and got on the list and at around 30wks got rung up saying that they were in) so there is still hope

Thanxs and no im not booked in... I was just thinking of doing it but when my first 2 came out they werent that healthy. My first baby couldnt breathe and was in intensive care for 2 weeks and my 2nd had high blood sugar levels and couldnt breathe when he was born and was in intensive care for 1 day.

give them a call and see what they say...i called at 22 weeks and got in:smiliedance:no waiting list required
