i am currently 9 weeks today, baby due on 19th of decemeber, and its my first.

I woke yesterday to bleeding, like bleeding when you first start your period. not heaps but enough.

i went to the drs and he sent me for an ultrasound. I went and everything was fine and baby is still there bouncing around. And its heatbeat beating away.

the dr said every was normal. And there isnt any reason for the bleeding.

The bleeding just stopped yesterday afternoon.

I woke up again to more bleeding, im sooo worried
Why am i awaking up to bleeding?

im scared as i dont want to loose this baby.

Has anyone had bleeding in early pregnancy but still had a happy healthy baby?

Oh hon, I feel for you! :hugs:

Try to stay relaxed, particularly knowing your Dr isn't worried and the ultrasound came back fine. Maybe some rest is in order?

I had bleeding at 17 weeks and it absolutely scared the hell outta me! But Kade is 12 weeks old tomorrow and the absolute delight of our lives :)

I did read somewhere that it is quite "normal" to have a bit of bleeding especially around the time when your period would have been due if you werent pregnant and it can happen up until about 12 weeks, maybe this is whats happening.
Obviously the drs not too worried, what colour is it as thats often important too if its bright red and has pains or cramping with it that can sometimes be a problem.

Ive not had bleeding as such more like brown or dark pink coloured gunge, mine happened in the morning or after doing #2's!! had it with my 1st pregnancy as well, this time and last time I had an u/s at 7 wks which there was a heartbeat. My obs the other day said its really common and at least 1/4 of all pg experience it
from what I have read it could be implantation bleeding, or just generally bleeding from unknown sources!!!
if you are worried call your dr its always best to put your mind at rest i find rather than read all sorts of websites that get you all worried

I also bled at 9 weeks. Brownish and then a bit of fresh but not heaps of it.

I had an ultrasound the next day and like you all was ok with bubs. I was told that sometimes a little pocket can form where the placenta attaches itself to the wall of the uterus and blood can fill that pocket and then come out later hence the brownish colour as it was old blood.

I went on to have a perfect pregnancy and a perfectly healthy boy who will be 3 next month.

I'm sure everything will be ok :fingerscrossed: but if you are worried or continue to bleed I'd go back to your dr again. Are you experiencing any pain/cramping at all?

big hugs to you :hugs: :hugs: because I know exactly what you are feeling at this time as it was my first and only pregnancy and we tried for 4 years and ended up going through IVF so I know how upsetting it can all be when we don't know exactly what's happening with our bodies and being so afraid to lose our precious little bubs.

let us know how you get on.

Yeah glad you bleeding has stopped, there is nothing more worrying is there!

I bled red and passed clots and cramped and we are about to deliver our baby, truely amazing, there are such good stories that come out of bleeding even if extreme like mine.

Yeah so happy for you! GL.

Hi,
I had same problem every month during my first, very scary.
Everything worked out fine I had a healthy boy.
I only hope you have the same luck.
If your DR isn't worried it may be nothing too serious.
My GP couldn't tell me what was going on and just said if there is no cramps or its not heavy dont be too stressed, if worried come back and see him.
Good luck and thinking of you.

i have to go for another ultrasound again to day at 2pm

went back to the drs and he tryed to find the heart beat with his machine, but couldnt, but also said he might be pushing it at 10 weeks.

so he said he'll send me for another ultrasound just to be sure everythings ok, and for reassurance.

Does it ever get not so scary?

thanks
