Hello beautiful people,
I have been TTC for only 4 months which I know is not a long good time, but am just wanting some advice from a specialist about my cycles and ovulation etc.
Is it too early to seek this advice???
Does anyone have any recommendations for where to go??
I live in Brisbane city.
Thanking you all in advance :fingerscrossed:

no its not too early. we have been trying for 4 months also, and i went to my GP last thursday, just to get my cycles regular and for ovulation etc (cos i dont often ovulate) now i have to have a ultrasound for PCOS :(
my doctor said they wont try any fertility treatments until you have been trying for more than a year but they can help inprove cycles etc.
hope that helps

It wouldn't do any hard to go and speak to your Dr! He/She may even have some good tips to help you along the way!

I think it's a good idea to talk to your gyno if you have any questions:yes: , it's never too early to ask! I wish we had asked earlier!! Good luck TTC!!!!:hugs: :hugs:

I have been thinking about EXACTLY the same thing, this is also our 4th month TTC and if i dont get a BFP this month then im heading to the doc just to get checked out. I would hate to leave it for 12 months to find out something is/was wrong and then it take a few months to get on track. I would be almost 12+ Months behind.
If you find a good doc let me know, coz im in search of one myself. Im also from Bris.

Hi Bigtum2b
It can be so frustrating can't it, you get your hopes up and then - - nothing - - you feel flat and devestated.
Like many other's I know all too well the sting of tears that comes with AF's arrival, and more....I've being trying for 10years to bring a baby home, to have the joy of a BFP...don't give up keep trying while you are trying each and every month you get closer and closer. I've learn't to look forward to AF as a way of knowing when we can start again and keep trying, while you are still getting AF's you know that something is happening and when she doesn't arrive......:smiliedance: well calls for celebration doesn't it!
Gyno's are pretty much the same across the board and set up guidelines to work by with fertility and it's a very "touchy" subject for ALL involved. Here is what I've being told along our journey...
I am not sure how old you are:
20 or under: 12 mths of actively ttc
20 - 29: 12 mths of actively ttc
30 - 33: some may say 12mths, some 9 mths of actively ttc
34+ 6 mths of actively ttc
This is because of the risks and things change in a women over 30 and Gyno's will keep a closer eye on you and investigate earlier because of many things ... their are so many things that he/she will investigate depending on your situation.
I hope this helps :fingerscrossed:
Another Bris girl here who would love the name of a good doc if you happen to find one!

Hi Bigtum2b,
LJ is right about the age/ttc times.
We have been ttc for @ 1 year but my gyno referred me a couple of months early coz i have endo and he said he could try things but if they don't work then we would be playing catch-up!
I agree that it's better to be pro-active and do as much as you can to improve your chances.
good luck
