Madi cruised around the furniture for ages before she started walking! Like three months she walked around furniture! I thought she'd never walk on her own, and then all of a sudden she just walked! And i was like OMG she walked to me from the loungeroom to the kitchen! Scared the **** out of me!!! YIKES!
Your little one will be walking in no time i'm sure! And then you'll be wishing that you little one was still able to sit in a bouncer lol I do! Madi's such a little terror!

My littlew monster isn't walking yet, he started crawling at 9 mnths and is only just cruisin around furniture. He doesn't talk at all , just babbles.
But what he lacks in those departments he makes up for in size. He is currently 13kgs, and 84cm tall. He's in size 2 clothes, and he just hasn't stopped growing! He also has 9 teeth, four top front, four bottom front, and 1 molar. He has 3 more molars cutting through at the moment!
:bday: To all of the May Babies! (or soon to be Toddlers  )
PS this thread was a fantastic idea!
my wee man only has two bottom teeth and one top, he only babbles too! although has his own ways of letting you know what he wants- my MIL says he'll never talk if i keep responding to his noises and pointing but im sure he will...
he got a push along toy for his b'day yesterday and is already walking around holding on... he is so ready to go and i cant wait!:smiliedance:
he still doesnt sleep very well and we are trying cc at the moment to try and get him settled properly before no.2 makes his entrance! im booked in for a planned ceasearean and im so scared of leaving my wee man with his daddy- sure all routine will go straight out of the window! he lets him away with murder...lol
happy birthday to all may babes! :bday:

How much do your babies weigh now? Madi has only just hit the 10.5kg mark... And it took her a long time to get there! Especially after constantly being sick! :(
DD started crawling about 6 months, and was walking around the furniture at about 7 1/2-8 months and she turned 1 on tuesday and has been walking properly for 3-4 weeks now...and shes only just hit the 10.5kg mark too Madismummy...dont worry about it :P..i've seen babies half the size of dd and thier 6 months older lol. She had 4 6 teeth for months, and her 3rd and 4th bottom ones just cut a few weeks ago...she talks quite a bit though...she says mum, dad, cat, pretty, dark, button, baby, and eye
DS was one last week, he has taken his first steps :smiliedance: and walks between lots of things around 15 steps. But hasn't stood up in middle of room and walked, still pulling up to stand.
He is pointing at everything and mimicing words like dog, wet, stop and using more and ta( thank you) in context. He will point to your nose if asked and if he is in the right mood :p And gives cuddles and eskimo kisses when asked to, very cute!
He is really developing a distinct little boy personality, he has started trying to do everything his brother does and throws a little wobbly if he can't. Today I turned around for a second and he had climbed onto the coffee table
It is great hearing about what other bubs are doing at the same age.

Hi guys!
:bday: for tomorrow Madi!!! Hope you both have a wonderful day!! And:bday: last week to your little guy Sarah! Hope he had a good time!
My big fella weighed in last month at 13kgs. He measured at 83cms tall. But since he was about 4 weeks he was bigger than the average. The CHN says he is the size of an average 2 yr old. Hopefully he will slow down when he starts becoming more active. He is still only cruisin furniture, no further developments there. I'm not too worried though. He only started to hold his weight when he was 7 mnths, coz he was so heavy. He was 10.4kgs when he was 6 mnths. But he is tall, so he isn't fat.
He said Dad for the first time the other day!!!!!! My DP was so touched, he got a little teary. I asked him why, and he said because Brion will remember that for the rest of his life. So sweet seeing a big guy like my DP getting emotional with his DS.
Anyway, enough blabbing from me for now! :ecomcity:

They've all grown up so fast.

Thanks Sarah!:smiliedance:
Tyllee turned 1 on the 11th of May. She took her first steps on the 1st of May and now is practically running through the house. She loves climbing on everything and has mastered the motion of pushing herself forward on the little ride on cars (cornpopper - fisher price). She has four top teeth and two bottom teeth. Tyllee says Mummum, Dada, Bay (for brother bailey), grandad, that, up, car, brmmmm, tana (dog), tex (dog), woof, milk, bot (bottle) and she also signs - oh dear - touches her head, twinkle twinkle - twiddles her fingers in the air,all gone, twists her hand up and down, oh no - touches her mouth, gives five, waves and points. Also points to her nose and ears when asked `where is your.........'
Congratulations to all of us for reaching the first major milestone - turning one! Welcome to pre-toddlerdom for those who have never done it before, its fun!!!! lol:smiliedance:

Hi Everyone,
Our little man was one on the 30th May I can't belive how fast that year has gone
It's time to think of a brother or sister for him.....
We had a great Birthday my family came from New Zealand for it I can't wait to go outside and play with all his toys he is a little bit young for them yet...
He's into everything and we are tteaching him about the fire place at the moment and let me tell you how much fun that is...
Hope you are all well
Take care
Hugs:hugs: :hugs:
hi everyone,
my ds turned 1 on 25th. We had a great get together with family and friends to celebrate.
Just reading everyones stats, ds seems quite little compared to everyone else 9.3kgs and 68.5cms tall. DH is 6.5ft so i guess he is getting shorty genes from me. Has just taken his first steps (yesterday) :yelclap: has two bottom teeth, 1 top one just cutting through.
He says mummum, daddad, mo (more), pokes out his tounge when you ask where is your tounge and points to his or my nose when asked where is your nose.
I see newborns now and it's starting to make me clucky again. Remember the excess skin at the back of a newborns head, its sooooo soft. Although i am enjoying every day of ds growing up so much, throwing another personality into the mix would be a challenge.

Hi guys!
Brion had his 12mnth needles yesterday. NOT HAPPY JAN!! He cracked it big time! But soon felt better after he had a freddo! I never give him chocolate so he thought he was onto a good thing! Now it's just the waiting game. See if he has a reaction to the shots. I really hope he doesn't!
And I am going to be starting back to work soon. Because I am so BORED!!! Might stop me from being a grumpy *****. Either that or I can take it out on ppl I don't live with!
Hope evryone else is good.
Chat to you soon!

Hi,
I just joined Bub Hub and was really glad to find this group. My 1st son Max was born on 2nd May 05 and 2nd baby (a little brother) is due 6th Sept 06. Max weighs 11kgs. He was always a bit smaller than most other babies his age but has got a real spurt on lately, it seems like he eats all day!!!
Max has 2 teeth on the bottom and he only had 2 on the top until today when I noticed 2 more have cut through making 6 teeth in total. He was a late crawler, only started on Boxing Day and then started walking about 3 weeks later. NIGHTMARE!! Bounces off everything head first as the top of his body seems to accelerate at twice the speed of his feet. He got his first walking shoes the other day which he is not really that keen on. It does seem ti slow him down a bit though.
Do you guys give your babies full cream milk now in bottles or formula and how much. Max just has 250ml morning and night of full cream. GP seems reasonably happy with this but I would be interested what others are doing.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Brooke

Hi Brroke
Welcome to BH! Your son sounds cute! My son is too lazy to walk. He gets around super speedy on all fours.
Brion is still on Follow-On Formula. Mostly because he gets a little pukey when he has a lot of millk. He has Full Cream with his Weetbix, and he also eats yoghurt and cheese too. He has 3x250ml bottles of formula a day. One with every meal.

Hey is anybody experiencing the joys of tantrums? I cop one everytime I try to put Brion to bed. It just started happening out of the blue. He has also become more whingy. I don't understand why though. Really weird. If you have these problems what do you do to combat them?
We are having tantrum problems here too:devil6: Think they are learnt off his older brother, if it even look like I might take something away because it is dangerous or he just plain can't have what he wants he throws a fit. It is very hard not to laugh because it looks so funny
Hopefully it will pass soon though, won't be funny in a few weeks :banghead: I think it is just an asserting independance and lack of communication skills problem, I just try and distrct him with something else. I say "No that is dangerous/hot/whatever, look T at that ..." it generally works.
He is still on formula as DS1 had allergies but he has butter, yoghurt and cheese occassionally I shoud really swap him over. He has 2 bottles around 200mls and 1 breastfeed because I am too lazy to make a botlle at 6am:sleeping:

Tantrums are happening here too but its the whiging that is driving me nuts! It starts for no reason what so ever goes on & on :banghead: MJ can be happily playing then start whinging while happily playing
Glad to know i'm not the only one

:smiliedance: Hi my name is Ryshia, I have a beautiful daughter Brooke June. Brooke turned one :bday: on the 3rd of May 05. She is practically running around now and has been walking for a few months now. She has 7 teeth, 4 on the top and 3 on the bottom... with plenty more on there way!! She hates sleeping in her cot, loves to be out and about and especially loves to play with other children. Brooke loves having baths and playing with water, hates her bum and clothes being changed.
Anyway I thought I would introduce my self here.. Looking forward to discussing more with you all..

Hi Everyone, We are suffering the tantrums as well. If we take something from the young master that he can't have he throws a wobbily!! The only thing that works is to completely ignore him and he gets over it.
I think he has been in a bit of a bad mood lately though because of his teeth. We didn't think he was getting any more as we couldn't see any but I just realised last night that even though he only has 2 teeth on the bottom and 4 on the top, he has just got 2 molars on the top. Has this happened to anyone else? I kind of thought that teeth came in a bit of an order and that we wouldn't see molars for quite a while.
It's a shame this child didn't come with a manual!

Hi everyone
Hope you and your bubs are all well. And hello to the new Mums who have popped in to say hi :)
Master B had got another tooth! :smiliedance: That makes 9! There is number 10 lurking JUST under the surface too. So many chompers! tell you what though, this round of teething has been a nightmare. When he got his first 8 there was no fuss - just lotsa dribBle. But these new teeth are meanies. Brion has been upset, dribbling, has a sore bot bot the lot. An last night was a nightmare....Brion stayed up until nearly 2 because of the snots, and then he kept waking every 1/2 at least because he souldn't breathe through his nose. Same for today as well. He got a temp this am and then couldn't sleep. He finally went down for a nap at 1:00:eek: The weird thing is i can just TELL that he isn't sick IYKWIM, it's not the same as when he gets sick, it's just snot and a mild temp. Tell you what though I am sooooooooooooooo tired!!!!!! But definately too wired now to get a decent rest if I went down for a sleep. Besides - the moment I dropped off, he'll probly wake up...Murphy's Law.
Also Brion is starting to stand up without pulling himself up on something. But only in the bath! He hasn't figured out he can do this on dry land as well! LOL Wonder how long it will be now til he starts to walk??? Cos my back is killing me from carrying his heavy bot around! How long after they started to stand up unassisted did your kiddlywinks start to walk??
Ok that's enough dribbling from me, I'll take a breath and let you guys alone!
T has started getting his molars too. Has 1 on the bottom so far and can feel the other one coming through. They have been by far the worst teeth for him too. Only 6 more teeth to go after that :smiliedance:
Well done to Brion for standing up! My two stood early but then didn't walk for months. But some bubs just stand and then get walking very quickly.
T is slowly getting more words and better comprehension which is good. He is in love with every teddy, toy that had a face for him to chat to, it is very cute :D
Had his first haircut this week, he looks like a little boy now, bye bye babyface :crying:
Hope all the other May babies are well

Brion still hasnt said any words. Just dadad. But I know he isnt deaf. he can hear us ok.
T's words are still very simple and probably not that clear to someone not with him often. Sometimes he will mimic a word perfectly but not use it again or in context. At the moment he uses more, ta, star(believe it or not!), dog frequently and in context, the rest is a bit here and there.
