Fitted nappy as swim nappy.

I have been using what I think is a fitted nappy as a swim nappy under togs for DD for about 9 months now and it has finally given up the ghost (she has no bum but the velcro won't stay done up around her big belly!).
I went back to Big W where I bought it from to buy the next size and they have none! :(I don't even remember what brand it was so I have no idea where to look for another.

Here are the details:
Totally white
Velcro fasteners
Padded flanalette (very soft non-pill)
Very cheap (I'm sure it was around $5 - $10)
No inner pocket and not water proof (ie, would need a cover if using as a normal nappy)

Does anyone know the ones I'm talking about? If so, can you tell me if they are still available? I am a flat terry nappy user and hate the idea of having to use disposable swim nappies (what a ridiculous waste for such a short use). I have been looking at on-line shops at fitted nappies and judging by the price of them :eek:, the one I bought was clearly not a 'big' label.

yeah sounds like a "fluffies"

have a look in big W and kmart too - they often have them in the baby section near the bibs and bottles.

or you can just buy swim undies. i got my dd a pair that look just like normal undies but have elastic around the legs and some soft lace/mesh inside. they were onlky $10 and i am now using them for my 7 month old - its a good thing i got bright yellow and not pink.

sounds like fluffies. some generous person gave me some once :rolleyes: they are actually really useless as actual nappies. i opened one up to find that the inner is just polyester fill. as if thats going to hold any wee :laughing: which is probably why they are working for the OP as a swim nappy.
