any one had one, was everything ok, my doctor told me that i had one, with 3 really big words in front of it, and made me book in to maternity, as he thinks my chance of getting past 28 weeks is slim.

please give me some info, im freaking out:eek:

Will need more info than that cos a haemotoma can be as simple as a bruise and increases from there. Clearly yours is more serious. Its definition is a collection of blood that gathers below the surface and can cause a swelling. Have you had any symptoms like this?

I have my :fingerscrossed: for you that all will be well.:hugs:

i should have paid more attention.
i have a bleed at 11 1/2 weeks, it was quite big, the blood is still in there.
i get cramping and spotting, from the doc said it seems quite bad and he's fairly concerned by it.

i'll have to find out more

Oh, Bronny, I hope everything works out OK :fingerscrossed:
It's hard to take everything in when the doctors talking to you... maybe you could call them and ask? They prolly won't mind and it may help you to feel a little more in control.

Ah. I don't know a lot about a subchorionic haematoma, but I asked my mum, a former maternity nurse and she said it was a blood clot found in the uterus that used to be called a threatened miscarriage. Women had bleeding but before ultrasound had no idea why exactly.

She said that if you get to the 12 weeks mark you should be ok. It is linked in the long term in pregnancy to preterm labour and placental abruption cos it can prevent the placanta from attaching properly but this is all rare and the success stories tend to outweigh the worse case scenario.:smiliedance:

She said your OB will keep an eye on you, and the clot to see what it is doing. But she said DON"T PANIC!:D

Hope that helps. We shall all be thinking of you. Good Luck:hugs:

HI bronny-jane.

I have been in the same situation : I'm now 16 weeks pregnant , but at 6 weeks and 12 weeks I had a threatened miscarriage . As a result of the two bleeding was 2 heamatoma ... who disappeared after a while .
The first bleeding , I really thought I've lost my BB as the bleeding was so important ... but the BB decided to stay ! It took 5 weeks for the bleeding to flow out of my tummy ... pretty scary.
The second bleed was not as much at all but there still was a 3 cm haematoma ...
I'm on high risk pregnancy , I stopped working and always have the fear that it can happen again anytime , anywhere ...
I'm ok now ... and we are expecting a boy ...
I've had so far 9 scan since the beginning of my pregnancy ( which I'm really happy with !!! ) : I had to find positive things after all !!!
The BB is doing great and I'm feeling more and more confident ...

I just wanted to share my story ... and let you know that you are not alone ...
