I just returned from an overseas trip to Europe. I was away with my 6 month old daughter for 7 weeks. The time difference was 8 hours (back).

Now she wakes up at night every 2 hours and thinks it is playtime. I tried everything to get her back to sleep and it might work now and then, but even if I trick her and she falls asleep it lasts only for 10 minutes and she laughes and smiles at me again.

I am really desperate, please help!!!!!!!!!! All I want is a bit of sleep...

I had exactly the same problem with my DS when we came back from Germany. He was fine on the trip over but a nightmare after we got back. I basically just did what you are doing and encouraged him to go to sleep (we even went for midnight drives:rolleyes: ). I also tried to keep him up as much as possible during the day. After riding it out for 4 weeks:eek: , he finally went back to normal. Sorry I don't have any great tips.:o

Hi

I had exactly the same thing with DD when we came back from the UK. She was around 6 months old too. As Happy Lady said there isn't much you can do but wait for her to get over it and keep her up as much as poss in the day.

I established a really strong boob bath boob book bed routine before we left so she knew what was coming and that defs helped.

Good luck

Thanks for your help. I will try to keep her awake as long as possible. I just hope it won't last for 4 weeks

And it is good to know that other babies are the same. So thanks again for your reply :)
