transverse myelitis

Has anyone experienced the condition transverse myelitis in an infant.

Our 6 month old son has been diagnosed with this which is an inflammation of the spinal cord which affects the spinal cord function. He has suffered muscle weakness, paralysis and blowel & bladder disfunctions.

Could anyone advise if they have had a similar situation or know of anyone who has.
