Jan Mums - it's November already!

Let's keep the chat going strong ... our babies are nearly 2!

Thanks Mim! Completely forgot we needed a Nov thread.

Well 3weeks to go from today. Feeling very uncomfortable now! Baby is 3/5 engaged and looking good but knowing my luck the little one is very comfy in there and in no rush to arrive!

Michael started saying Thankyou today, not Tah like I say, skipped straight to Thankyou - copying his big brother I'm sure!

Tabby, loved the footage of Katie chatting!

Mim...I'm glad one of is awake to the fact it's Nov already, LOL:laughing:
Sammy...:babydust2: good vibes coming your way. :yelclap: for M and 'thankyou'. TJ still won't even say ta.

Us...a good night from TJ. She had Spag bol for lunch yesterday, so hopefully this means her tummy has resettled. Had DD1 wanting to come into bed with me at 3 am again last night. Marched her back off to her bed and after a few tears she resettled.

Have a great day!

Hey everyone

Its been a long time since I've been on this thread - very slack I know! I will have to go back and read last month's thread to see what everyone has been up to!

Sammy - wow, not long to go now! Are the boys letting you have some rest?

2s'nuff - a name change - I like it!

Us - well we now have 2 kidlets! Our little princess Darcie Therese arrived on 27 September at 1.37pm weighing 8lb and 52cm long. Unfortunately didn't end up getting my VBAC cause although waters had broken I hadn't dilated and she hadn't engaged. Lucky though as obs reckons I would have ruptured cause uterus wall was very very thin!
Anyways she has been a great baby and Cooper is being a great big bro. We had a few issues at the beginning where he would want "up" every time I was feeding (occassinally still does). Always wants to cuddle her but then when I go to give her to him he just says "no, Mummy" - what the!
Got a Wii fit last week so hopefully can get back into shape again pretty quickly after my 6wk checkup. DH is using it too cause he still has his sympathy baby bellly from cooper

anyways, will add this to my favourites so I remember to pop on more often!

Cheers, Shaz :D

:yelclap:Congrats Shazza on the birth of your little girl
- and love the name Darcie- for both girl or boy- glad you are doing well

Sammy- wow not long now- I will keep my phone handy- am so excited- and I will actually get to meet you and bubs and the boys in about 7 weeks too!!! Well done:smiliedance: on Michaels words- Bridget says thankyou too- Ta is very rare.

2snuff- glad to hear you are having a few better nights with TJ- and keeping dd1 sorted aswell - just takes perserverence.

Bridget has a cold again and a rattly chest again- just not shaking it! All pretty good besides that.

Shazza ... great to hear from you! Congrats on the birth of your baby girl!

Sammy ... you're so close now! All the best!

Wildatheart ... any news?

2s'nuff ... I followed your lead and gave Josh tomato (fresh) for a few days in a row and today we tried yoghurt. Thanks for giving me the courage to try cause he seems fine! He even ate roast beef tonight! I'd glad to hear TJ is doing better - spag bol is impressive.

I went back to work today after 2 1/2 weeks off. I missed Josh dreadfully. He's at such a cute age, it's so hard to leave. He's also doing better with sleeping in - it was an 8:40am wake up today! Mum was impressed with that - it's one of the advantages of us staying at mums house, she doesn't have to wake him at 8am to pick him up.

Josh has been doing this little grizzle noise today, it's really annoying. I hope he stops it's soon.

Tomorrow night I've got Josh, my nephew (2 weeks younger than josh) and my 5 week old niece for an hour on my own! Am I mad? Hopefully I can put the boys in the highchairs and feed them and put my niece in the basinette or in my ergo carrier. I'm looking forward to it though - they are such cute kids.

:smiliedance: for J's improved diet. Certainly makes life easier when you can use tomato to cook with. And yogurt is such an easy fill-in food. TJ would eat yogurt for every meal given the chance:rolleyes:.
You'll be fine with the 3 kids.

Us...a shocking night for TJ. She had a couple of bad poos yesterday. One escaped her nappy at daycare. She managed to get a handful of it and tried sharing with another child:laughing:.
TJ's vocab has taken another leap forward. After dressing her this morning I asked if she wanted to go and have breakfast. Her reply: "No, play". So off she went.

A horrid day here in Perth. I know the weather will clear up from next week though, because I will be able to use the carport again.

 Everyone

2’s nuff – Sorry to hear you had a crappy night with TJ.

Shazza – Congrats on the birth of your little girl. Love the name too.

Sammy – Wow just checked your ticker not long to go now. Good luck hun and can’t wait to hear the wonderful news.

Mim – My gosh Nov already . Glad to hear the tiling is done and also great to hear J is improving.

Its almost 9am here and T1 is still sleeping and T2 has just gone down for her morning nap. Had the 2 little ones at the drs yesterday. T1’s ears are fantastic, the dr was really happy with them and he also noticed T1 being a different child since getting grommets. T2 on the other hand will probably need grommets aswell. Going back to the dr in 2 weeks time to see if her ears have cleared up if not off to the specialist again. T2 is finally cutting her 3rd tooth :yelclap:. I’m going to enjoy the peace and quiet while i can .
Have a great day ladies

Dh had the snip yesterday- feel a bit sick in the tummy that it is becoming more definate- no more babies- even though I dont want anymore- what if i hit 40- have a midlife crisis and want another? Cause i reckon if I have a midlife crisis it will be a baby that I want!! I also feel a bit guilty that he is in pain- yes i know i have experienced far worse- but feel really sorry for him!

Anyways better go- been up since 6am with Phoebe- gotta go weigh in at ww this morning- Have a gr8 w/e all!

I asked dh the same question- he said as soon as he feels ready- reckon by looks of it I wont get the tap on the shoulder for atleast a week:laughing: maybe more!!! He has to hae atleast 12 ejaculations though then a test to see if sperm is all gone- can take that long for the body to get rid of it all- so not completely out of danger yet- although have not had af since having Phoebe so probably a good sign:thumbsup:

hi everyone

Well its a nice rainy evening here in Brissy which is great as its cooled down now - was stinking hot today!

3divas - I can understand feeling sick about DH getting the snip. I think I would be the same. A lot of people do it after having two but I couldn't imagine not having more (although I am probably still in babymoon ). Hope your DH is feeling better soon and you can get back to dtd!! Hope work has quitened down now! How did your weigh in go? I'll be starting soon to try and shift this little bit extra I'm carrying after Darcie!

Wild - A huge congrats on your blue bundle Xavier!! Well done and enjoy the babymoon!

Tabby - Wow!! You have a lot on your plate at the moment! I dont know how you find the energy with looking after Katie and working too!

Sammy - glad to hear you had fun on your playdate! I love going to the beach - I always feel so refreshed - must be the salt air!

Strawberry - its amazing what a difference those grommets makes isn't it! So thats three boys now who have had them done - I didnt realise it was that common a problem! Im so glad I did get Coopers done as he has been such a happier kid since and all the words now! Have you found that T1 says a lot more words and clearer? can't believe that T2 will be 1 soon - where does the time go?!

Us - Had a bit of a sniffle the other day as when I got Darcie up I realised she has lost her new baby smell - ahh I love that smell! Well I'm going to jinx myself now in saying that she is a good sleeper at night compared to Cooper! She did 9 to 5 last night - couldn't believe it. But of course Cooper woke up a couple of times instead - grr!
Well we are going to go and pick up our $50 swing set tomorrow (won off ebay!) - can't wait to set it up for Cooper. Hopefully it won't be raining :fingerscrossed:
We are having dilemmas about what we want to do with our house :detective: We can either renovate and keep (not that likely), renovate and sell (and hopefully move to acerage) or demolish and rebuild brand new. But then again not sure we should do any if we are going to go into a recession!

Anyways enough :ecomcity: from me.
Cheers, Shaz :-)

I cant wait to start! I do feel really tired yes.. all the time lately but this might sound quite lame but happiness keeps me going..newly wed with a wonderful hubby ( 20 years younger than me :P * winks) the lovely Katie and my 2 big boys ds1 n 2 who have turned out to be wonderful young men at 27 and 17 yrs of age. a great job where the employers are my best friends Life just cant be sweeter for me. have to keep pinching my self :D

Shazza- it is so good to hear your going well with the new bub- My weighin went well- lost 1kg- even though I am on maintenance- as I made my goal weight last week- joined up when Phoebe was 5 weeks old- have lost 16.5 kgs!!

Tabby- you do have a wonderful life- I would be on :cloud9: too- and you deserve it!!! I love your new avatar pic- same one as on f/b!

Dh is not too bad today- did not come on the big walk into town to Coles to get nappies and stuff- he stayed home with Phoebe and I took the other 2!

Lovely day here- I have been rather productive around the home- all bedsheets washed (I usually do a bed a day at a time) All towels done (I usually do 1 bathroom a day at a time) Pram washed and scrubbed and drying and now clothes going through- and I even have the ironing board out and am going to iron (usually an iron as you need it person):yelclap: Organisation+++++

Wild...Congrats on the arrival of Xavier. Hope you're both doing well.
Shazza...big decision to make. Maybe sit for another 6 months and see what happens with the economy.
3Divas....want to come tomy house? I could use some organisation at the moment.
Cat...Hope you enjoyed your trip to Melbourne.
Tabby...thanks for having us over on Saturday. It was great seeing all the kids play together.

Us...Another weekend has flown by. The paving is getting sealed today, so :smiliedance:I'll be able to drive on it by tomorrow afternoon. Introduced another couple of meals to the girls this weekend. DD1 had fried rice (bacon, egg, rice and chicken stock) TJ happily ate it during taste test before her bath (looked just like a baby bird standing there with her mouth open), but didn't want it come dinner time:rolleyes:. Last night we had echidna balls (no, not what you're thinking:laughing:). Meatballs with rice, covered in tomato soup. Both girls loved it. DD1 helped roll the meatballs, TJ would ahve hepled too given half the chance. Have to go to Ikea this week two girls trying to use the same stool to 'watch' the cooking is not good.

A fantastic day here in Perth. Just a shame I have to work.

2s'nuff ... glad TJ and tomato are mixing so well. It does make life so much easier. Josh is eating it now too ... sort of. He's actually not a big fan, but at least we no longer have to avoid offering it to him. He had lasagne last night ... but he barely touched it. Oh well.

This is just a quick post. We're back in our own home now - we moved back in last night. It's great to be home. Josh is SO excited to be home and to play with all his toys again (mum has toys at her house so we didn't take his toys with us). It's a bit weird to no longer have a hall cupboard and to have a very different laundry set up ... but it will seem more like home as time goes by and we find places for things.

On the way here yesterday Josh was grizzly, so I asked him to sing, which is usually 'la la la', but I asked him to sing a song about Daddy, so he sang 'la la la Daddy!' ... I kept him occupied for 15 minutes by asking him to sing different 'songs'. So, we had songs about duckies, pa, mum-mum, toes, nose, ears, cars, etc, etc, etc. :)

Tabby & 2s’nuff – Thanks for a lovely morning yesterday. Yes it was great to see all the kiddies playing together. T1 and T2 fell asleep within 5 mins from leaving Tabby’s place and slept for around 3 hours.

Shazza – Oh yes grommets are great its ashame I didn’t do it earlier. He’s happier and slowly coming out of his shell.

Sammy – How are you sweetie? I bet your sooo over it right now.

Cat – Glad to have you back. I hope you had a great time in Melbourne.

 to everyone else.

T1 is at daycare today and T2 is asleep and Im trying to get some things done around the house before she wakes. Just finished washing and mopping the floor. Now it’s time to tackle the oven yay. Have a great day ladies. Another beautiful day in the west.

Ok, I'm back but have forgotton what I was going to post yesterday.

Except for big congratulations to Shazza & Wildatheart on their new little bundles of joy and wow, not long left before you are joining them Sammy!

And 2snuff, quite a few posts ago you said no sausages becasue of the preservatives so thought I'd let you know that at one of the Woolworths near us I can actually get a Woolworth's brand preservative free sausage. Can't get it at all stores and tastes quite salty so only an occassional food but even better the Continental brand curried sausage meal starter has no preservatives or artificicial additives either (even though it's not advertised as such) and the meal is one of Cam's absolute favourites.

Strawberry, hope you got everything done around the house that you wanted too and Mim, bet it's good to be back in your own home.

Us - settling back down after our trip to FREEZING Melbourne. At least it felt freezing at the outdoor wedding we went to. Ended up not leaving Cam a whole night since we left it too late booking a hotel but my parents had no dramas with dinner/bath/bed for the evening. Took Cam to Werribee zoo while we were there with the rest of my family in tow and he nearly started a rhino stampede - the tour bus driver told us all to be very quiet as we pulled up by the rhinos and all went well for a few mins until Cameron let out a huge shout and the rhinos jumped to their feet and the driver quickly drove us away - apparently the buses have been rammed 3 times. Lucky it wasn't a 4th!

Cameron is quite the chatterbox but no sentences yet except for phrases like 'here it is' and 'there you go' that we must say alot. Quite amazed that he knows his colours already too and puts two words together like "car - blue".

Enough rambling from me, take care all.

 I'm still here! Not planning on going anywhere anytime soon! Lots of contractions last night that didn't get ouchy so I just ignored them. At least I'm not having as many contractions as last time yet!

Cat, hilarious about the rhinos, I couldn't have attempted something like that with the boys, we are a loud family LOL.

Mim, enjoy settling into your place.

Strawberry, I am definitely over it, waddling around isn't much fun & turning over in bed is a nightmare.

2s'nuff, great news about the extended menu list!

Wild, congrats on the arrival of Xavier, looking forward to reading the birth story & seeing pics of the new little man!

Tabby- well done on your powertool purchase- are you eager to get it working now?

Bridget was in the worst mood at dinner time tonight- she just screamed and pegged handfuls of her spag bol all over the place. Needless to say I quickly bathed her and put her to bed- she went out like a light:idea:

She nearly got hit by a car today- a bit scary- met mum in the park to feed Phoebe as I was working today- anyways I was sitting on the grass- mum turned her back on Bridget for a minute and she bolted to the car- mum called out to her and started to move towards her which made Bridget think it was a game and she ran to get away from her..... onto the road and around the drivers side of the car- luckily mum got to her in time and scooped her up as a car was only meters away- I was almost sick, little bugger moves so quickly now!!

There is nothing wrong with them either! http://picasaweb.google.com.au/Kaitlyn2006/Other#5268496356401493986
thats the one just did bathroom, just need to order a pelmet that goes on top where that black velcro is
Also did some screws to wall for a photo section on my soon to be feature wall :)

Tabby ... all the best with all the work you are doing. We've been as ruthless as possible with throwing stuff out - we had SO much stuff that we didn't need filling up our house.

3divas ... that's scary about bridget and the car! These toddlers can be so quick can't they?

Aries ... hi! Hope you can log in soon!

We started Christmas shopping this morning for Josh. Got a few things from Toys R Us and looked at a few other things we were considering, but the rejected. Josh only slept for 2 hours this afternoon despite being very tired ... I was unimpressed (he can sleep up to 4 hours). But, he is now eating all foods and I'm not excluding anything. It hasn't seemed to cause a problem with his reflux, so we're very happy. It makes life a lot easier!

I've uploaded a handful of photos of our renovations to facebook. In doing so I realised I don't have that many of the finished reno's that are much good, but there are a few. If you're not on facebook and want to see the photos send me a pm with your e-mail and I'll e-mail them to you (I've restricted it to friends only can see them, so I can't post a link here).

3Divas...very scary about B running off. I have to be very careful with TJ in the daycare carpark. Some days she'll happily hold my hand, others she pushes me away and runs.
Tabby...hope you had a good weekend painting. The painter has been at our house since Friday and should finish today:smiliedance:. Don't know how you manage to do it all yourself. Just painting DD1s room nearly ended in divorce! That's why we're paying someone this time. DH figures it'll work out cheaper for him than a divorce:rolleyes::laughing:.
Mim...:yelclap: for being about to eat all foods again. Found the preservative free sausages in Woolies (was it you who told me about them?)

Us...a very busy weekend. DH and I went to the 4WD & Camping show on Friday and bought a camper trailer:eek:. Then on the way home stopped in and bought a new mattress.
Thought I'd finished the Christmas shopping, but DD1's bike broke last week. So looks like I'll be shopping for new bikes for Christmas this year too. Coupled with the Trampoline (and our purchase) Christmas will be over the top again this year. TJ will get her bike for Christmas rather than her B'day. But she's not going to notice.
I had a great 'ME' day yesterday. Left DH home with the kids, got picked up by a limo and went to the Sheryl Crow and John Mellencamp concert.:smiliedance: Mellencamp is one of my all time favs.

Enough about me, hope everyone had a great weekend,

Mim- saw your reno pics on f/b- it was a pretty major job then! Wow!

Tabby- how did your painting go on the w/e?

So we finally got Bridget in the big bed over the w/e- we bought one of those bed rails, put it up and she has slept in there the last 3 days:thumbsup: So that now frees up her cot and I can put Phoebe in that and give mum back her cot I have been using for Phoebe!

Tried tt again on the w/e too- was a big no no- Bridget just aint getting it! Oh well, not in any rush.

Tabby...painting looks great! Ours was finished yesterday. I'm very disappointed in my feature wall. The colour is too similar to the other walls. So I'll be looking at paint swatches again and when we do the front loungeroom, redo the feature wall.
3Divas...:yelclap: for B being in a big bed. DH found our toddie bed yesterday and will put it up today. The concert was fantastic!
Mim...will have to have a look at the pics whn I get onto FB later in the week.

Trampoline got delivered yesterday, and DH started putting it up yesterday, so much for waiting until closer to Christmas:rolleyes::laughing:. He's worse than the kids.
Had a great night, firsty I heard from TJ was 4.45:smiliedance:.
TT is on hold until we get the house sorted again. It's been too hard when we've got cr@p spread everywhere and we've been living outside until bedtime. But have noticed she's holding her bladder lots more at night. Although she's waking up with a full nappy, it's fairly empty when I get up to her during the night.

Have a great day!

HI everyone

3divas - Sierra is the same with climbing on everything. If i put all the dining chairs up to mop the floor she will go & get the chair from the study just so she can climb up onto the kitchen bench. She opens all doors too. Its quite frustrating. Everytime i sit down i have to get up again because she's gotten into something else. Dont remember my other 2 being like this.

Tabby - Your painting looks great. Love the colour scheme.

Us - I have been run off my feet. DD1 is having 4 concerts for her danicing next weekend, so its been very hectic. She had photo's last week then dancing on the weekend. Then dress rehearsals that went from 5pm - 8:30pm on Monday & last night. Finally now we just have one dance class before the concert & thats it. I'm happy its all out of the way. The concerts will be full on though. There are 4 & they each go for 3hrs each  Makes me tired just thinking about it
Sierra has been well (knock on wood) & is talking heaps. Has her own little words for things which is cute. Still having bedtime issues though which is a bit annoying but i'm sure we will get there. Just trying to do the same thing every night.
DD2 has been doing her transition sessions for school every friday this month so thats also been something i have to fit in. Only 2 left to go :smiliedance:

Well better run, have housework to do!

Kewlchic...good to hear all is going well
3Divas...good luck keepign B in the house. Luckily TJ hasn't worked out the front security screen yet.
Tabby...Chose differnet browns (reddish browns) for the rooms. Just not enough contrast between the feature wall colour and other walls.
DH didn't get TJs bed up. So she'll be in a cot for another few weeks.
Tired...bet you can't wait until the end of the school term. How will the dancing kids cope with that number of concerts in such a short time? It would kill me:p.

Us...still trying to rearrange the house after the painting. Was :banghead: at DH last night. he managed to take a chunk out of my newly painted wall while putting back the bedside tables:hissy:.

I'm with you Tabby, where's our nice weather gone? Hope it's nice on the 30th.

Hey everyone!

Well I am completely in love all over again! David is being a great baby so far - eating, sleeping, filling his nappies! Promise to post pics soon. I have attempted twice but silly computer has crashed on me and I've given up and gone to bed! Sleep is a luxury right now. David is fine but Michael is unsettled and has been screaming the house down during the night. During the day M is great, surprisingly gentle with his new baby brother and extremely interested, just nighttime is the problem - I think a couple of days away at the in-laws away from us all while I was in hospital was too much for him!

I haven't posted a birth story yet but it was a pretty good experience (besides all that pain of course) Waters broke at class around 7:45pm - only 2 minutes from home and I was just happy I hadn't made a mess on my carpet or in bed. It was a slow leak so not too embarrassing either. Got to hospital around 9:30pm - after coffee stop for DH who was 'tired'. Was checked over by midwife and then headed off for walks around the hospital grounds to get things happening. 12:30am decided to stay in delivery room as contractions were getting more intense. Eventually had one never-ending contraction, called in the midwife (she'd been leaving us to it which was nice, just me, DH and my BF) I'd been on my feet the whole time, so it was time to get onto the bed, then the midwife got DH to 'glove up' and she guided him thru the delivery. He is extremely proud of himself!!! 3 minutes of pushing, no drugs, one small tear but NO STITCHES and boy does that make a difference to recovery! Then we had a nice 4 day rest in hospital before getting straight back into the swing of things this week with DH back at work and my mum back home up the coast!

Will come back with personals and pics later, Cheers!

Sammy- so good to hear from you- cant wait for pics- have been checking f/b for some too. Glad to hear your doing well. If you remember back- Bridget was quite a challenge at night when I first bought Phoebe home- took about 3 weeks to get her under control, but it did finally settle down. Michael will get there- big adjustment for him.

2snuff- I would have been cross with dh too- chipping the paint- Grrrr.

Tiredmummy- 4 concerts? why is that- that seems so much for little people!... and the mums involved!

Tabby- xmas sorted! :xmastree:You champion- I desperately need to shop!

We have been having very stormy wet weather here the last few days- Last night we had a big storm soon after Bridget went to bed. Dh could here tapping in her room so went in and Bridget was standing at the window watching the lightening- she turned and said to dh "what is it" and he said "its a storm" and she says ' its niiiicccceeee"- how cute!

Storming again- can here the thunder rolling- better get the computer off so it dont blow up!:geek:

Big day ahead, playdate this morning, BF visiting for lunch, then more visitors this afternoon - everyone loves a newborn!!!

Still trying to upload pics - not much time for the computer at the moment.

3Divas, we got heavy rain but no storms thank goodness!

Everyone's renos are looking and sounding good - besides the chipped paint of course.

Kewlchic - how quickly has time gone?

3divas - yeah it seems like a lot but not everyone is doing all 4 shows. DD1 does 2 classes & she is the only one that ended up having to do all four shows because of the way they worked the program. Saturday is Ballet @ the 1pm show & the Jazz/Tap @ the 5pm show then its the other way around for the sunday. It's really confusing & they are'nt very organised which annoys me. I'm worried that she will just get extremely bored between performances & she cant come & sit with us & watch the other performances which i think is a bit unfair especially when she will have to wait hours. It should be good though. She is definately excited about it!

kewlchicmum glad to hear you are doing well.

3divas how about after christmas? I havent been to Bathurst for ages, maybe Clea and I can come there? OMG I feel sick for you hearing about the car incident... glad it was okay, they move so quickly and everything is a game at this age isnt it.

Tabby Love your outlook. It is tiring but it is worth it. But in saying that I am seriously considering 1-2 days childcare. I realised today I havent had a day to myself for 2 years! Love the pics, you have a really nice place.

mim1 we have started b'day xmas shopping to. Clea is really into "in the night garden" so I think we are buying all in the night garden toys this year!

2snuff wow what a great day!

US I am starting a ballet class next monday. Realy looking forward to it as i need some ME TIME arrrgghhhh. I have had strep throat and Clea got a temp and runny nose. I think afetr almost 2 years of hardly being sick we are starting to get everything! well, I am off to go to garage sales and look for a bed base for our double mattress. I am goig to move Clea into her own rom over the next few months and we have decided to put her in a double bed since she has been used to our big bed. Besides I figure it is easier for me when I need to sleep with her until she gets used to it. My neice went from family bed to double bed and loved it. We have a toddler bed for her as well, but so far it has been a failure and she gets out during the night and comes into our bed. cute but anoying. haha.

Hey everyone

Hope everyone is going ok!? We are good here now that the severe weather warning has been cancelled!

Sammy - a huge CONGRATULATIONS on baby David! Awesome name - same as my lil' bro!

Sammy/DFB - yep In the Night Garden is a favourite here too - especially makka pakka.

DFB - hope you are both feeling better and :fingerscrossed: for no more sicknesses for another 2 years! Good on you for doing ballet classes - I could never do it - just imagine an elephant stomping around in a tutu!

3divas - well done for doing a whole week. I know I couldn't have done it with 3 kids at home! I struggled doing p/t with just Cooper at home! Glad B is ok after the car incident. I know exactly how you feel cause Cooper nearly got hit by a little golf buggy yesterday - thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. Oh and lol at B and the storm! cooper calls is "rumble rumble" and loves it - hope it stays that way!

Tabby - your hard work is definately paying off - the pics look fantastic. What is the name of the green feature wall?

tired*mummy - hope you all have fun at the show this w/end.

2'snuff - preschool already - where does the time go?

Us - going pretty good. Took the kids out by myself for the first time on Thursday and they were both pretty good which makes me more confident for future outings! Darcie is up to 5.05kg and 57cms at 6wks the little porker! Not long to go til :xmastree:. Cooper saw santa at the shops the other day and didn't seem too freaked out which was promising.

quick post from me to say hi!!

I actually ahve had my baby in case you thought I had the longest pregnancy ever!

My original due date was the 3rd of November, which came and went along with lots of prelabour pains and contractions that just never went anywhere or did anything. Very frustrating indeed. On 6th November went went to see the obstetrician who said that she would induce me the following Monday 10th, but we were also given another option of being admitted to hospital to be induced that night (6th Nov).

We went into the hospital at 8pm that night and after some monitoring I had the gel applied at midnight which did little to induce the labour. The obstetrician was due to break the waters in the morning if things were not happening by then. So waters were broken and we waited and waited and waited and walked and waited some more. At 1pm the drip was inserted which eventually lead to full blown contractions at around 2ish. because of the drip, I was hooked up to the monitors the whole time so was unable to move around much and have a very active labour. But despite all of this, Xavier Jack was born very quickly, entering the world at 4.55pm on Friday after I only used the gas for a short time (after Alexander's difficult and complicated birth, this was a breeze!). He weighed 8lb8.5 oz (3870g), 48cm and head circ of 36.5cm. He is really stiully very tiny even with his birth weight (must be because he was short- alexander was a whole 5 cm taller!).

Unfortunately I had to go to surgery for a short time to have the placenta removed but that went pretty ok.. It was an awesome experience this time and we are definitely going back for number 3!!

Despite all the issues I had during my pregnancy, thinking that bubs may not make it, he is FINE!! (How bizarre, I know).

So yeah we have settled in pretty well at home. Xavier is a very calm baby (even though he is having a cry with dh now ) but I found that I am sooooooooo much calmer this time..!

Alexander is loving Xavier and kissing and cuddling him heaps- but would love to pick him up I think!!.

Anyhow, things are strangely quiet so I had better go see what is happening in our house!!

Night all

Wild...good to hear the birth (aside from the waiting) went well
Shazza...:yelclap:for getting out with the kids. The first outing is always the hardest.

No 'In the Night Garden' fans in our house. TJ won't sit in front of it for more than a couple of minutes.

I spent the afternoon yesterday putting up the outside Christmas lights:smiliedance::reindeer:. Though at one stage I laughed, cause I was wearing track pants and ugg boots. Not my usual light stringing attire. Weather here is rubbish at the moment. Hope t warms up a bit for Christmas.
TJ wanted to 'bounce, bounce' all weekend, but the tramp was wet for most of it. She went to bed for her nap on Saturday wanting to bounce, and woke up asking to 'bounce bounce'.

Perthies...what time this Sunday morning? 9.30-10? And for food? Should we just bring some finger food to share? Does everyone know where it is? PM me if you want details.

Good to hear from you wild and so happy things worked out for you and for bubs in the end- and planning number 3 already... Good On You!!

Shazza lovely photos on facebook- added you as a friend btw.

DFB- A meet ater xmas would be fantastic- and you are more than welcome to come here- Mt Vic really is not too far away!!

'In the Night Garden' is a bit of a winner here too- Bridget is usually fixated on the tv when it is on- its quite a pleasant show. The Wiggles is another favourite too!

Busy w/e here and snow like conditions on the w/e with a bitterly cold cold snap sweeping through the state- fine and sunny one day, icy cold the next!

Only 3 days of work this week- that will be enough for me- last week was quite full on!

Shes everywhere, 3 times a day on foxtel and now her room is decorated in it.
A slight interested in the fairies but other than that she wont bother lol

Very quiet on here at the moment. Hope it means everyones busy and not that they are sick.

Strawberry....haven't heard from you re Sunday. Hope you can make it.

'Bob da Builder - yes we can' is TJ's fav movie this week. Put Bob on last night and DD1 wanted to watch the previews (it's an old VHS from the Salvos). TJ kept saying 'Bob da Builder' until it eventually came on.

I have started putting the Christmas Dec's up inside, and have promised DD1 we can put up the first tree on Friday night after TJ has gone to bed:xmastree:. Hope it will start to feel like Christmas then. The cr@ppy weather isn't doing it for me at the moment.
Looks like DH will fly in Christmas Eve rather than Christmas day. His leading hand has offered to swap flights home with him. Which is great becasue he'll have his 'out of it' day on Christmas Eve and be ready to get up early Christmas morning with the kids (and be there to help throughout the day).

Take care,
Lisa

Well I'm glad it's been quiet in here because I'm to brain drained to have caught up on much more. Silly deadline for work again but try expaining that to a nearly 2 year old!

Not helping that Cameron's learnt to take his nappy off but then wants it back on straight away so I've lost count how many times we've done that today. I was too slow getting to back on one time today (ignoring him and trying to get some work done :o) - I heard him make frantic noises and then ran to find him upset about doing a #2 on the floor. Time to get more serious about this toilet training business I think. Although half the reason behind the nappies coming off is not because he's ready for TT but because he's discovered how much fun it is to play with his willy. Normal I know but still disconcerting! He's also worked out getting out of his sleeping bag so a couple of bedtimes & naps now we've gone in to settle him and he's sitting there completely out of his grobag and naked on the bottom half. I knew that's what he was doing when he was quiet for so long before calling out for us again.

Gotta go, sounds like nap time is over. :fingerscrossed: he still has sleeping bag and nappy on!

Try training pants over his nappy ( I bought TJs from Best and Less)

Shazza – Great pics on facebook.

Tabby – Great job on the rooms. Glad it was you and not me lol.

2s’nuff – Yes still coming on Sunday. Can you please pm me with the details and names of all kiddies that are coming.

Us - Haven’t been on much lately due to being really busy. T1 doesn’t seem to get into “In the night Garden” Its bob the builder, handy manny (foxtel) and I can’t forget Hi 5. I’m sure he’s got most of the dvd’s. Wow I can’t believe in a month time my little princess will be one and Christmas has been and gone. I love this time of year tho.

Most of the Perthies know that my family and I are heading back to QLD to live. We have 2 weeks till we go and I would like to thank Lisa and Vicki for making me and my family very welcome. Part of me is sad that I have to leave WA but I’m also excited as I’ll be closer to my mum and dad. My parent can’t wait, they will be spending valuable time with the grandkids.

Better go T1 and T2 just woke up and the 2 older girls are home from school.
Talk soon

Hi All!

Been really busy. Last week was hectic with new staff at work, sick staff at work and lots and lots of work. And Josh was sick, then dh & I got quite sick with colds. I had to take a day off work - but should have taken 3 or 4 days off - it was chaos though with just 1 day off.

This week is slightly better with everyone back on deck. But work is still very busy (more so than usual) and I've got lots of work related stuff to do out of hours too (paperwork) and i'm just exhausted.

Speaking of which I think I'll head off to bed really soon.

Josh is as crazy as ever (in a good way). He's still adding 5 or more words a day to his vocab and now putting 3 words together. I'm still in shock about how quickly his speech has exploded! He's got his paed appt on Monday so had blood tests yesterday - was an angel as usual (yes, I do really mean it).

Sorry no more personals ... probably come back on the weekend.

Tabby

Mim: hope you get some more rest soon hun
What a champ with blood test Josh was!

Strawberry: you made me tear up! I am going to miss you and ALL the family a heap and am thankful for the time we shared, attending my wedding and many meets here. You will always be a in a special place in my heart no matter how far you are :hugs:
I think Sunday will be quite emotional lol

cat: LOL you have an escape artist on the make! Yep boys do love the willy, starts early huh? lol

2snuff: what a great mate dh has! how nice of him to swap. Glad dh is going to be better rested for the big day.

Kates gone to be early tonight as no nap, couldnt as the man was here installing the net cables internally. had to be done, was spoiling my carpet with them running across lol
Oh and scored nice colour verticals from work, have done one side window in the new colour, its like a off white/cream, much better than the apricot and better to keep the sun out :)

Strawberry...will PM you. What's your moving date? Are you driving back?
Mim...hope you catch up a bit on the rest. I can't imagine holding TJ still enough for a blood test. Little bugger won't even stand still to have her hair (all 5 strands of it) brushed.
Tabby...new curtains sound great. Though the sun probably won't come in that window as much once you get your patio done.

Us...not been a great week for sleep this week. TJ's been waking 10.30-11 then again at 4.30-5. DD1 woke with a headache at 3 this morning, then came into bed with me at 3.30 (just enough time for me to get back to sleep inbetween). Not enjoying having her in bed with me at the moment as she ends up on my pillow taking up 3/4 of the bed - it's worse than having DH home:rolleyes::laughing:.

Another yucky day here. Hope the weather clears on the weekend as promised.

Hope the girls start to sleep better for you soon.
Kates been waking 2 times a night since she was ill. Only slept through twice and last night was 1 wake so fingers crossed for both us to get that complete night again soon!

very cheesed off with the il's atm
kate got invited to a outing and the rest of the family (sil/bil and baby but not me! figure they thought was nice to give me a break but a choice would have been nicer, plus going out..sigh again..
am so over this cr@p where i do everything to please but get little in return.

Hey everyone

WAH - not too sure if I've said CONGRATS yet on little Xavier!! Glad to hear it was a good birth!

Tabby - house is looking awesome!

2'snuff - lol at the bounce bounce! cooper loves jumping/bouncing too - he's getting a tramp for xmas/b'day and I know he is going to live on it! glad TJ is giving you some better nights lately! Good to hear Dh is home on Christmas Eve - sometimes I think its better than Christmas Day cause of the anticipation and excitement the kids show.

Cat - yep its annoying when they learn to take off their nappy isn't it! Hence why Cooper always has shorts on now (hasn't learnt to take them off yet!) Hope work slows down for you so you can relax a bit!

strawberry/3divas - re facebook!

Strawberry - I'm in brissie! Where abouts in qld are you moving to?

mim - sorry to hear you all had colds (its been doing the rounds here too). Glad to hear Josh was a good boy with getting his blood tests. hope all goes well at the paed.

Us - not much going on. Going to attempt some christmas shopping soon - eek! Cooper had sleepovers at nanny & poppys the last couple of nights cause we had down to Casino for DH's pops funeral :crying: Getting a bit sick of the rain but I know we need it to fill the dams!

Anywho must go and clean the house.
Cheers, shaz :D

Shazza – We are heading to Toowoomba to start with and having a 4 week holiday at my parents place before we move to Brisbane. Still deciding where to live. North side, south side not to sure yet. We use to live on the west side (amberley) which we loved as it was close to parents and a lovely area. T1 loves the trampoline. He pretty much lives on it . DH was out cooking dinner on the BBQ last night and T1 was happily jumping on the tramp. Anyway I have T1 here laughing at goodness knows what and he’s making me laugh big time. They are soooo cute at this age. Better try and get him ready for a nap... mmmm don’t like my chances today.

Sorry guys, been MIA this week- heaps going on. I have been working heaps and trying to move Phoebe in her own room so trying to accomodate the computer in the family room- so furniture has been moved- and sold etc just to do so- complete nightmare- wanna paint aswell- hopefully can do it this weekend. Time is just slipping away. We normally do up our house with xmas lights and it takes weeks to get them up and we have not even started this yet so thinking we may not get there this year- where does the time go?
Also have reports to finish by today- which does not seem to be realistic right now- bring on the holidays!!! 3 weeks to go!

3Divas - I know what you mean about bring on the holidays. I cant wait :smiliedance:

Us - Well its a bit stressful here. DD1 has her concerts tomorrow & has woken up this morning with what looks like food poisoning. We had some fish & chips last night & she had a whole big flake. Must have been something wrong with it. I had some too & have been feeling yuk but not vomitting like DD1. DH & the other 2 didnt have any so it must have been the flake. So i'm trying everything i can to make her feel better... poor thing. Any suggestions?

Tabby...:hugs: Start doing things for yourself (and your family), and worrying about others later.
Shazza...Our tramp was for Christmas, Dh got over excited and put it up. It was always going to have to be early because he flies in Christmas Eve and won't be in any state to put it up. But it was still a shift earlier than I anticipated. Know what you mean about the rain. It just doesn't feel like Christmas is approaching when there's so much rain about. Good luck with the shopping. I'm down to bikes for the girls and a DVD for my niece.
3Divas...hope you got your reports finished. Even if you only manage to get 1 or 2 strings of lights up the kids will love it.
Tired...:hugs: for DD1. Unfortunately can only suggest that you keep her fluid up. Lots of little drinks.
Strawberry...Did T1 end up having a sleep for you?

Us...Putting up one of our:xmastree: tonight. DD1 is very excited. I put up some tinsel inside last night, so it's startgin to feel a little bti Christmassy inside. Just wish the weather would start to clear and warm up.

Have a great day,

hey everyone

Strawberry - come to the northside!! Definately the best side! Very cute Xmas pics of T2 on facebook! How are both T1 and T2 with Santa - not too freaked out?

3divas - how did all the renovating go? Phoebe in her room now? Good luck with getting those reports done tonight! Not long now til holidays!

tired - hope DD1 was feeling better in time for her concerts. All I could have suggested was keep drinking water to help flush out her system!

2'snuff - our tramp is at my mum and dads so can't succumb to the temptation of putting it up early! Wow only the bikes and dvd left - i'm impressed! Hows the :xmastree:

tabby - can't win with in-laws can you! And I bet if you stopped making an effort then they would have a winge hey! The house is looking great!

Us - going to take Coopers cot down this weekend and rearrange his room. Darcie had an awesome sleep on wednesday night (8hrs) but it was a one off unfortunately! and Cooper had a shocking sleep last night - was up for about an hour at midnight - what tha! I think we have decided to do a mini reno on this house and hang on to it for a little bit and then try and buy a bit of acreage.

Anywho, going to have a look at realestate.com

Shazza – They haven’t seen Santa yet. T1 freaked out abit last year so don’t know what will happen this year. Have to go to the shops tomorrow so might point him out and see what his reaction is.

3Divas – I hope you haven’t got a headache from doing all those report cards.

2s’nuff – We brought an oz trail camper trailer. Hubby loves it lol. So you guessed it we will be doing plenty of camping now.

Us - Not much is happening here just cleaning up and starting to make a list on what I need to put into camper trailer. Just 10 days till we start driving over. 2s’nuff and Tabby I will see you both on Sunday for our :xmas: get together. yay for the reports done 3divas!
yes where does the time go? I never seem to have much lately either.

totally peed off, it just keeps getting better
MY brother who I got a job with me has decided better money elsewhere even though he told me was just what he wanted as other occupation was too hard on him thats what hes gone back to!
No notice what so ever so there goes my mondays off. all i had was 1! and not sure on my holidays now, all depends how ds2 goes, trial for a week to see if he likes it and if they are happy with him so fingers crossed for me he likes it or i wont have holidays :(
I know i could still have them as they are obliged to give when due, but they are my best friends as well and wouldn't leave them without someone to clean.

hopefully will work out better for us, ds2 working and me with a decent co worker who i can trust

29-11-2008, 09:16 PM
tabby ... it's hard to work with family isn't it? Hard to separate your personal and work lives and how they impact on each other. I'm sure your brother did struggle with the decision, whether he admits it or not. I hope you get your holidays!

3 Divas ... well done on finishing the reports!!

strawberry ... all the best for the move ... it's a long way between perth and brisbane!

tiredmummy ... how did the concert go?

shazza ... yeah for darcies sleep! Pity it was a one off!

Us ... dh is away for the weekend and I suspect that's one reason Josh is quite different. Last night he talked in his cot for 1 1/2 hours til he went to sleep!! Til 9pm - well past his bed time of 7:30pm! Sometimes he'll talk for 10 minutes, but 1 1/2 hours is unheard of! Then today he's been really clingy and cuddly most of the day (not complaining there) and then again took 45 minutes to get to sleep this afternoon - another rarity! His reflux seems to be playing up as well, so I'm cutting back on the foods that might play a role ... just after I stopped doing that 2 weeks ago! grrr! Thankfully after a bath and a few books he went to sleep tonight at 7:30pm no troubles.

Looks like I'm going to be working full time next year after all. There's a job opening for a full time job for next year ... applications close in 2 weeks. I doubt it will be popular, so my chances are good if I want it. I was getting used to working part time as a concept, then I looked at the finances and it's going to be a serious struggle. Renovations are still not complete (putting in a back deck at the moment) and they've been a big drain on our resources this year. So, realistically I'd need to find another day a week of work for next year in addition to the 2 1/2 days I've got ... but so far in 6 or 8 weeks of looking all I've been offered is 3 hours a month! Just not going to work :( But this full time job sounds like a job I really want and it's 5 minutes from home, so hopefully that will make full time work more palatable.

HI everyone
Just a quick one as i'm about to go out to 2nd day of concerts.
It went really well yesterday. DD1 did really well too. Very proud of her. Sierra was really good too. She slept thru the first show & watched the 2nd show without getting too aggitated. Which was good. It was a long day though & another long day today. I'm feeling pretty crappy too. I have tonsilitis, so not feeling the best but it will still be good.

Tiredmummy, hope Day 2 went as well as Day 1 for the concerts. Hope the tonsilitis clears quickly, I'm getting over pharangitis (sp?) which wasn't fun although the boys loved me not being able to yell at them when thay were up to mischief.

Mim, hope the job is yours, sounds perfect!

Strawberry, good luck for your big move, doesn't seem like that long ago you were moving west!

Tabby, in-laws :hair: ! Mine want the boys to visit when my b!tch SIL is visiting with her girls (the cousins) I'm not comfortable with my sons hanging out with people who have no respect for me and the in-laws just don't get it!

3Divas, how did all the reports go? Looking forward to our mini-meet next month. I still get jealous of the Perthies but finally it's our turn!!!

Shazza, at least you've had a taste of what's coming! I am perfecting the art of dozing while feeding David thru the night.

Us, DS3 put on 330g in his 1st 10 days out of hospital so is back above his birth weight and doing great!

I probably won't be around much this week, I'm making a competition Xmas cake, 4th Birthday Princess Cake (kindy order) and five 4inch mini Xmas Cakes (to be sold at a stall) All due on Sat so every spare moment when I don't need sleep is spent decorating. Will post pics when done!

Mim...It's hard mixing part time work and finances. Hope you can find the mix you're looking for
Shazza...hope the transfer to a bed went well. We'll be doing it next weekend when DH is home.
Strawberry...hope the camper trailer pickup goes smoothly today. When you've finished compiling your list to put in the trailer you can email it to me. I thought of a couple of things yesterday and am going to have to start a list soon:p.

Us...TJ slept for 2 hours after the farm visit yesterday and had a better night last night. I'm ready to clobber DD1. A very busy time of year for everyone hey- it just comes and then goes so quickly!
I am actually going xmas shopping tomorrow:yelclap: me and mum are going over to orange- about 1/2 an hour away as they have Myer.... and I miss Myer! Have pretty much got my kids sorted but its the others I need to do.
DD1 told me this arvo that she does not think santa is real and that mums and dads buy the pressies- I asked her how she figured this and she said- Well reindeers cant really fly you know- and you would need alot of elves to make all those toys and there is no way santa could get all around the world in one night........ I have seen the movies- santa is just a man dressed up in a suit'. Its so so sad- I thought I could get one more xmas with all the kids believing in santa- oh well.

Yes Sammy- cant wait for our meet:thumbsup: Good luck with all those cakes.

Mim- Hope you reach a decision about the job- is ttc #2 on the cards yet? That could help make the decision for you.

Tabby- hope ds 1 works out at work so you get a holiday.

2snuff- this time of year all kids get really yuk- they really need the long summer break before they tackled a new year.

Tiredmummy- hope soon.

Anyways better go- lots to do before bed time.

sammy ... you're doing well to be doing so many cakes so soon after bub #3. I remember my cousin helping out a lot at a family BBQ only 2 weeks after the birth of her 4th and we were all shocked ... but her older 3 were running around and her baby had open arms aplenty from all of us. I suppose it's quite different to first babies. Still, I assume you need some sleep - I hope you can get some soon!

3 Divas ... all the best for the shopping! I ordered heaps of things online from artscow (see a note I wrote on fb if you want discount codes) and some of it (the biggest part of my purchases) arrived today. I'm so happy as it's presents for my brothers and SILs and my mum and MIL ... and it's here well before christmas - yeah!

2s'nuff ... well done getting the tree up!

tabby ... glad you all had a good day on Sunday. :smiliedance: for katie's big sleep.

us ... josh is sick that is one reason he was funny on the weekend. He just has a red throat, not tonsillitis, and he's still a bit fragile. We've had a lot of tears for no particular reason in the last 24/24. Dh & I shed some this morning when josh woke at 5:30am! He came to bed with us and kept saying 'play' ... grr! Dh only got home late last night so we'd been up talking til well after 11pm ... so not much sleep!

I'm going to go for this full time job, everyone says I should. Now I've just got to write my cover letter and stuff like that :). TTC #2 isn't happening just yet ... silly pelvic ligaments still seriously dodgy ... and we've got no savings. But a full time job will deal with the 2nd point at least, although leaving little time for exercises and joining a gym. Oh well.

Hey everyone, it's me again...

glad the Perth meet went well. My IL's have left and returning in a few weeks when the baby arrives! it was nice to give caitlin a distraction but it's just so draining and tiring having visitors 24 hours a day.

Sammy you're a supermum - i hope i have half the energy as you after this birth!

We gave Caitlin an early 2nd bday on Saturday which she loved. She knew exactly who the cake was for and what she had to do with the candles. Was very cute - there are photos on facebook if you're interested.

mim - hoep everything works out well with applying for the job. Tough decision!!

I have finished my christmas shopping, about to put up the christmas tree and made most of christmas dinner!! The obstetrician's latest date for my delivery is 36 weeks (2 weeks away) but i really feel as if the baby has grown a lot in the last fortnight so I think we might be able to push it out til 38 weeks now. Will find out on Wednesday!!!!

hope the sickies and grumpies get better. Caitlin has been very very clingly all day - just getting over her grandparents beign here. They are full on with her and never give her any time by herself so she's stuffed. She moped around the house most of the day pulling all her toys out and creating a mess. hopefully she should settle in the next few days.

bed!

3divas: How old is dd1?

I just realised this is my first REAL xmas with Kaitlyn :yelclap:
I was recovering from the emergency c-sec 1st yr as she was born on xmas eve morning and was working a 12 hr shift for the next one and the whole family celebrated without me at the inlaws ( my family included )

This year I get to go NUTS with an excuse lol
the pressies are over the top with too many and the food will be awesome and those who I care about the most will ALL be with me to share it
My first xmas with my Husband too hehe
