Hi everyone,
I am about to put my 8mth old DS into childcare for two days a week and it is killing me. Can anyone suggest a good centre in the south east? Has anyone heard anything about Our Learning Steps in Patterson Lakes?

I am trying to be creative and come up with another solution- maybe a nanny at home and share the costs with someone else..I'd love to hear how other people have dealt with the need for childcare and the heartbreak that goes with it.

If I could stay at home with him I would but my work unexpectantly turned down my request of working from home 2 days a week despite having done it successfully while I was pregnant..so much for family friendly :-(

Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you looked into family day care?

My friend's DD goes to a lovely daycare in Beaconsfield but probably a bit far for you.

:iagree: Family Day Care would probably be a perfect choice for you.

:hugs: oh that is such a hard thing to be doing.

I agree with family daycare probably beign a good option.

Have you considered maybe taking on a night shift job for a few nights a week so that you can avoid daycare?

Thanks for your replies guys, still feeling a bit down about it all....I have decided to look into nanny share. I will probably end up putting him into long childcare but at least I will feel like I have explored all the options.
