Transverse Myelitis

Has anyone experienced the condition transverse myelitis.

Our 6 month old son has been diagnosed with this which is a inflammation of the spinal cord which affects the spinal cord function. He has suffered muscle weakness, paralysis and bowel & bladder disfunctions.

Could anyone advise if they have had a similiar situation or know of anyone who has.

My God daughter just diagnosed. She is 17mths old. Like you we don't know why or how she got it. Jasmine is in hospital at Sydney Children's Hospital and we have to play the waiting game. She is being treated with steroids to reduce the swelling on her spinal cord but her whole body is affescted at this point. Love and support to you all.
