Hi all,

I am just in such a tizzy with the whole naming this baby thing!!!

It is really weird cos, when I was pregnant with the boys I had girls names picked but no boys names, I was in the same boat as I am in now!!! For Jordan I had Bronte Renee, and for Carter I had Cadence Pauline. But I want this little one (I have been told its a girl) to have her own name.

I have been thinking of Imogen, and DH really likes that. but noone else really likes it, so I came up with Ebony. But DH has been calling her Imogen, and he cant see her as Ebony.

What name do you prefer? I am thinking of the middle name Kelcey. (after my 2 sisters Kelly and Tracey, weird? I know hehe

I like the sound of Imogen Kelcey, but I much prefer the name Ebony....but if you are supersticious (sp?) at all, you are due6/6/06 and Ebony means black....?

I really like the name Imogen. It's unusual and elegant. Thumbs up in my book!

Do you have a name where when you hear it you associate it with something else?

Well - Ebony reminds me of Kath'n Kim... Ebbonnee-Raie hehehe...

Imogen Ebony (as someone already mentioned) would be fantastic.

I am not too fond of Kelcey. I do like the names: Kelda, Kyla and Kenna though.

I saw the thread title and for some utterly bizarre reason, subconciously assumed you were comparing contraceptive implants.

I suppose I was thinking 'implanon', but they do kinda have that feel to them - something off the lists that marketing companies use for things that you need to be 'discreet', like hormonal treatments or sanitary products for the more mature consumer.

*soft focus black and white shot* "But now, thanks to Imogen, I can go through my day with confidence" *fade to colour, show actress placing vase of flowers on table*

There you go, a nuance straight from the back of my brain, untainted by concious consideration. Make of it what you will.

HA! Good one Mr Noodle

I quite like Kelcey... That is very clever... I think it goes better with Imogen though.

I agree - Imogen is gorgeous, and Imogen Kelcey is lovely! :)

My friend has an Imogen and she gets 'Immy' for short. She's adorable!

I love Imogen of course! :D

Not too keen on Ebony.

I like the idea with the middle name though, using parts of your sisters names. Kelcey is a nice name.

Ebony Kelcey doesn't sound quite right to me. Just my opinion, i dont mean to offend.

Imogen Kelceysounds gorgeous!
