Hi all

the last few days my belly has been slightly tender but since I woke up this morning my belly has been extremely tender to the point that when I push slightly whilst breathing or even if I pee that it hurts

It kind of feels painful like if you are constipated etc but I am not? I am guessing it is normal but it is starting to bother me that it still hasnt gotten better since this morning

Has anyone else felt tlike this

Hi Mum2be

I had exactly the same thing from about 12 weeks till about 20 weeks.. really did feel like constipation!! Dont worry though, it is very normal. Its just your ligaments stretching and things moving out the way to make room for bubs. There is also a ligament that runs down to the groin area that can get a bit painfull when walking etc - again, this is very normal. Pregnancy is ful of strange and new aches and pains - you get to find that you had ligaments that you never knew existed!!
For me, the pain was more so in the mornings when passing urine... It will get better though..
If it gets really painfull and you are worried about it though, have a word with your Dr who will be able to check it out

Hope this helps :-)

i had a similar thing for about a week back when i was only 8 weeks or so....i think in my case i was constipated and it was so bad i went to the docs....twice!! haha, only to be told that it was pretty normal, probably constipation, maybe my fibroids were getting in the way and causing me to grow quicker etc.....
still, it wasn't fun!! i found that i couldn't straighten up properly and was walking around holding my belly. i increased my fibre and it seemed to do the trick. even though i didn't think i was constipated i was. you can be constipated and still 'poo'...(sorry...yuk!) and pregancy is known for it's constipation side effect. if it hurts to wee tho, it could be a bladder infection - which is also normal. so might be worth checking this out with a doctor just to be sure, that way you know and you can flush it out wiht water usually. i'd probably recommend drinking a heap more water anyway! hang in there...it gets more comfy!!

It could also be trapped wind ..

I used to get that alot with both my pregnancies and it can be quite painful... even after the wind is passed you can be left with a sore, bruised sort of feeling for a while

i have bad pain like that too... ive had it pretty much non-stop for the last 3 or 4 weeks... its just my muscles/ligaments etc stretching to accommodate for the baby but far out it can be painful!!

something as simple as DF giving me a cuddle with my arms up around his neck cains! as well as when im swimming in the ocean and i dive under a wave- stretches everything too much!!

no tips on how to stop it from being painful.. guess its just something we have to put up with!!
