Hi there,
Yes, i applied for my daughter when she was 3 months and they called her in for an interview. When we went they said shes exactly what they're looking for and they wanted her straight away. They said I had to make the payment right then too, which i think was around $250.:( she then said that rather than using my home pics (which were of good quality) its best to use their photogrpaher to take pics, because its what their clients prefer. For a whole protfolio it was over $100, i told her i couldnt afford that, so she told me to just do one shot which was an extra $40.
Anyway it wasnt until later when i did my research did i find out that clients dont have a prefernece at all,. If the shots we provide of little babies are of good quality, theres no need to waste money on proffessional shots. Because at just 3 months of age babies change EVERYDAY! so theres no point spending unnecessary money on proff shots.
Also, everytime i need to change pics on her website profile, they charge us $20 per pic!! I thought the original fee of $250+ covered that. Why on earth do we have to pay an extra $20 just to add another pic which i took!:banghead:
I think for bubs under 1, adding pics should be free. With every other agency i enquired with, this is the case... its free to add mroe pics, in fact they encourage that... not charge you more for it. So far i have had to add 3 more pics, coz our daughter is alwys changing, so ive had to pay an extra $60... shes been with them for 4 months now.... and no work yet either. When i ring to ask about this, they just say "sorry we dont tell you when clietns have made enquiries, only when theres a definte booking" and thats it!
im very disappointed and really wish i would have done more research before joining her up with them!
Do u have any experiences with them??
Hi, Yes they said the same thing to me and I told them that I was a single mum and could not afford to spend the money unless they thought I could get some return. Been with them for months and no work either and I actually hope i dont so they wont get any more money from us.
I have heard stories that they do not have any clients that require kids/babies - hence why I am asking questions.
Not many people have replied.
I will continue my research into them, thanks for your reply.

i had an interview with them but i canceled as when i looked further into them they dont have the big name clients that you want like coles/myer.
We had an interview the other day at tinlids and when i mentioned that we had been to allstars she pretty much screwed up her face at the name.
I have decided to go with tinlids. And they are apart of the association(like a union) so they have all these rules that they have to abid by. And it makes me feel a little better about being with them. no work yet but we havent actually signed yet thats this week.
all i can say is really really look into an agency before signing with them

Most places that have free or cheap uploading fees - or ones that allow you to do you own photos, generally have much higher registration fees. The demand for child models is MUCH smaller than the supply of children. I think most parents expect too much from modelling agencys. Most children don't get work - much the same as adult actors and models. The people who are more likely to get the work though are those that shell out for professional photos, and (if the child is old enough) acting lessons. It's the difference between going for a job interview in a suit and showing up in a tracksuit. If a child can't take good photos in a studio environment - there is no point signing them up. Babies will always be happy to smile and perform for us mum's, but it is a very different thing when they have to perform for strangers with lights everywhere.
