well if we think of public transport all bus routes and both train lines can get to town, then thinking child friendly theres the kids play ground in the fore shore park it also has that large under cover area to, and its close to shops(for tasty cups of coffee) and the beach if any one is so inclined it also a five min walk from the train station/ hunter st
