hey ladies, just wondering what age did u start tt ur little ones , as i have no clue when to start tali
I think when you think she's ready. I started introducing it to my DS1 around '2. He wasnt toilet trained until the summer after his birthday as i found it easier to let him run naked in the warmth (2 years 3 months). He also had the added benefit of his cousins the same age all learning at the same time so he didnt feel so alone and the only one who had to use the potty. My DS2 im introducing the potty now (18 months). Just trying to take advantage of the warmth again pretty much. He isnt really getting it so it may have to wait.

When they start to show and interest in it themselves. Ages will vary so much depending on the child. Ours were all around 3 when they finally 'got it'. To be honest I couldn't be bothered spending months cleaning up mess if they aren't ready, though summer is a better time to try if you think they are ready!

When you think they are ready and summer is best if you can.
They need too much clothes on in winter and if you have carpet it will take longer to dry after you spot clean.
Mine have all been ready at different ages. DD1 was close to 3yrs, and then DD2 and DD3 were TT at different ages. DD2 was about 22mths while DD3 (her twin) was only 17mths.

Bianca TT'd night and day at 21 months in April this year - just as it was starting to get cool. Yeah, Summer may be 'better' but you are best to TT whenever the child is ready - holding them off for another six months may well mean they go backwards.

Hi Jennie,
There's no harm in introducing Tali to a potty.
Whether or not she takes an interest in it is another question. Just make sure you have the potty around all the time, so it's easily seen...something she get's used to looking at/playing with/sitting on etc..
I'm also going to do the same thing with DS, so lot's of nappy free time, he'll be stoked i'm sure. :D
A good indication of when they are ready, is when they start trying to take their own nappy off and/or they try to get hands in the nappy when they've done something in them. ;) Much fun, but all part of the learning process!
