ok see sig he is almost 6 months old. my 3rd so i like to think its him not me:laughing:. no seriously any help would be great awesome in fact cause nothing im doing is working. so his rough sleep pattern is on a good night
down at night9.30pm sometimes a bit later
feed at 1.30am
feed and play at 5.00 am
back down maybe 600am.
up at 7.30 am
ok so not too bad not great but the day time argh!!:hair: he usually would have 2 x 20 min sleeps ALL day between 7.30 am and 9.30pm. somedays he actually has no sleeep at all, all day. he seems happy though he is all smiles and laughing and gurgling so im not sure what to do i feel like i spend all day trying to get him down and it never happens.
yes i wrap him
no he is not hot/cold/hungry over or under stimulated
i see tired signs like ear pulling and droopy eyes
but then ...........bam like he sneaks a coffee and he is all revved up like a maniac
is this enough sleep because he is happy and not whinging? if its not enough which is my opinion then how can i make him sleep what am i not thinking of????????????

My 20 month old has always been all over the place with sleep too. I used to worry, thinking "Is he sleeping enough" etc, but I realised that he was doing just fine, and that I was just comparing him to other babies I know which was doing my head in.

I'm surprised that he doesn't seem to need as much sleep as other kids, but he is very intelligent, bright and chirpy, and if he gets tired he will get a bit whingy, ask for a breastfeed then fall asleep. Lately he has even started to take my hand, and drag me into our bedroom for a sleep, saying "Hold hand" as we go

my kids as babies were terrible sleepers, and still are..

we are a nocturnal bunch around here. not morning people at all.

i think some people even as babies just need less sleep.

If i was tired I would just put them in the bed/cot in my bedroom and sleep while they played.. as they got older i locked them in my room with me while i slept.
