This is my first cycle of charting on Fertlity Friend and I am a week away from AF but my chart never picked up ovulation. I did pick it up around CD 16-18 but then I proceded to track the rest and it came up saying that it had to be altered and therefore could not pick up O after all :(

can you post a link to your FF chart?

post your chart, maybe the temperature spike didnt occur for 3 days in a run for the software to pick it up, you can manually override it if you want i think

Your link doesn't seem to work. You need to go to Sharing, Home Page Setup, then copy the address under "Your charting home page web address"
Hope that makes sense.

I think it is because their software only picks up ovulation when there are 3 days of high temperatures, your chart doesnt show 3 consistent days of a temperature increase and also you havent filled in the CM bit beyond day 8 so I think that is why, its hard to tell which day you might have actually ovulated, what day do you think it was?

I have nooo idea as this month I never got any o pains like I usually get??
I thought I did put in my CM??? Maybe I did not do it right?
Better luck next month then!
We won't be tTC till end of the year, just want to see when I tend to O so we can be prepared ;)

Yep thats a good idea to know your pattern. One thing I do notice is your temperatures are fairly erractic and quite high up on the days at the beginning of your cycle, do you take at the same time every day and assume you are using a basal body thermometer?

Yep i take them when my alarm goes off at 6.30am every morning. Some night I use an electric blanket would this affect it?
I am just using a digital them???

because the temp shift can be small its best to use a digital thermometer with a 2 decimal point reading... there is a big difference sometimes between a 36.5 reading and a 36.51 or 36.59 reading, if you know what i mean.

Great that your alarm gets you up at the ame time every day, i am now waking up at 5:45 7 days a week! lol, although i do go back to sleep after taking my temp on the weekends! Remember not to get up or drink anything etc when you take it. I read that the best place is under your tounge, right up against the fleshy bit at the back. And place it in relatively the same spot every time to.

also i have read that using an electric blanket can make a difference, they say to use it on the same settings all the time, i assume that means every night to??
would depend also if you used it all night, surely if you only had it on when you went to bed it wouldnt make a difference by the time you woke up.

i agree you need to get yourself a basal body thermometer, digital ones arent accurate enough....do you leave your electric blanket on? maybe that would make a difference
this is my latest (and successful chart) in case you want to look at one to compare to yours, not saying yours is wrong i just think its the temperatures that aare a bit up and down
