View Full Version : Third Trimester Morning Sickness.
It's back :(
Eat breakfast.. and up it comes.
It seems to be triggered by smells, again, (let's be honest here, husband's morning flatulance is a MAJOR problem with me and this)
Anyone else get this? It really annoys me :(

You poor thing. I am on some medication to make me stop vomiting. Really expensive. They use it for chemo patients. But I feel good. This is my second baby and I don't know what I would had done without it. It is called Zofran.
Hey yeah, what the heck is up with that?
I am nearly 27 weeks and have had it off and on and it seems to be getting more on than off as time goes by, but just in the last two weeks or so.
DP is under instructions to do his putrid morning trumpeting OUTSIDE because when I get up an hour later I can still smell it otherwise and it makes me retch.
Even worse, there is a guy at my work who ALWAYS has something hanging out of his nose. He only comes over to talk to me every now and again, but when he does I can't look at him or I will retch.
Retching now thinking about it.
The other day he DIDN'T have something hanging out and I thought "oh how lovely" and then he started talking and he had bread stuck on his teeth.
Have to stop writing now, blech.

hi seekit i am the same as you i am 35 an half weeks preg and i have had it my entire pregnancy :barf: i have only put on 3 kgs which has been only in the last 4 weeks so its all baby my ob has said its good but i feel sick most of the time mine is also set of by foods my worst is vegemite my 5 yr old as me in the morning do you fel sick today or not so he can have vegemite on his toast and sandwich but most days he just gets plain toast and a cheese sandwich but i guess not long to go now but i know how you feel is not good
Oh shed! We can sympathise eh?
I stopped upchucking for a few weeks :smiliedance: :smiliedance: but in the last few weeks I've been having more and more spewsies.
Husband this morning put his bum-trumpet to use and laughed, as mature dads-to-be do, then stood outside the door going "Oooh sweetie.. you're making me feel bad now..."
but he's a good lad, he gets me some water, rubs my back, cleans the bucket...
My spewing isn't REALLY bad tho', it's not ALL day.. I do feel nauseous after biggish meals but I mostly lose my breakfast.
 Anyone else sick of being told that being sick means you're having a healthy bub?

I'm with you seekrit - oh but its a good sign! Blah!
I also have found that since Chompy is getting bigger he is pushing on my stomach a lot and making me nauseas (sp?). And then it always makes it better when DH tells people that you've had an easy pregnancy!!! I almost stabbed him in the eye with my fork!
I haven't actually chucked, I just feel like it.
It is a bit different than the 'afternoon sickness' I got during the first 15 weeks or so. Its nausea but sort of different nausea. It doesn't have the headspin factor, just the spewy feeling. And its only when I am driving to work and only on some days.
So annoying. I can't wait till this phase passes and I have something else to whinge about ...
...because there WILL be something else to whinge about.
There's ALWAYS something else to whinge about :D
Mine started at 6 weeks, stopped at 22 weeks, now its back at 27 weeks!! I was reading that it can come back in the last trimester and just as I started the last trimester, it was back. Hopefully it's not going to get worse, it's been ok this week, manageable ats least.
I have just started getting it again too Seekrit! But only at night when the horrid heartburn kicks in, so I get it ALL at once! Was up til 5am this morning (thanks bubs!) Im glad Im not the only one with morning sickness in the third trimester!

When I was pregnant with my first child I did not suffer from morning sickness as such. I lost my appetite and put on very little weight, but by 32 weeks I felt dreadful.
I went out with my mum once to a mall, and started throwing up in the chemists, then in the flower beds outside and the carpark. I thought I was dying. It continued and my OB decided to deliver by c-section at 35 weeks.
I feel for you all, it sucks and am scared it will happen again this time. I am now 14 weeks and although no morning sickness as such feel nausea late on in the day, and can start wretching at the drop of a hat. Oh the joys of hormones!!!!:D
