Ok I firstly have a disclaimer. BFing is a love hate relationship for me, which is odd I know seeing as DD is almost 2. I still cringe when I have to BF her, I am so relieved when I can 'get away' with not feeding etc.

However, I won't deliberatly wean her as she wants it, needs it and is comforted greatly from it. I just really thought she would be weaning by now.

Anyway ... I asked her if she was and she said Yes. DH and I found this funny as she screams blue murder if she doesn't get her milk when she wants it. So I asked if she knew what weaning was. Her reply - What's that? So I explained that it is when you will never have mummy's milk ever again and you just drink water and milk from the fridge. Yes she replied.

Are you weaning? I asked again.

This time... (And DH got it first :laughing:) BIG DARK greasy to DH and then me.

NO she said, I want milk. I guess it was worth a try :p

 Oh yes, I used to really dislike the "W" word. I don't blame her. By the way, I am very proud of you for continuing to feed your daughter even though you feel that way. You should be very proud of yourself, not many people breastfeed past a few months, yet alone for two years.
