Hey girls,
For charting temps, is a good quality fever thermometer (used in the ear) just as good, or does it have to be a special bbt themometer?

Nah. don't use an ear one. We use them at work and they vary a lot. Get one for under the tongue, I got a cheap digital one (not specifically BBT) from Coles for $8-10. It only has 1 dec place but thats OK with me, it still seems to work well.

under the tongue is working for me (only charted my 1st cycle so far) - i started with a 1 decimal place thermometer, but after a few days switched to a 2 decimal place one just in case (cost $18 instead of $9), cos i read sometimes your temperature shift can be as little as .1 degree celcius! turns out i'd probably be fine with the $9 1 decimal place though.
