View Full Version : September 08 Mum & Bubs Chat #2
Yes, my parents have just left and it was nice but there were a few tensions as my mum can be quite a difficult person to get along with and she seems to have it in for DP which is very upsetting.
Then we took off to Sydney for a couple of days, just the four of us. Unfortunately the weather sucked ***, it was pretty windy, grey and wet, but we had a great time and it was a good experiment for travelling with two little ones. We all slept in the same hotel room in view of each other so that was funny but worked out fine. And both kids slept very well on the car trip. And we had very good fish and chips down by the beach!

Hi Girls,
Just wanted to thankyou all for your lovely posts and support - once again! You really are a great bunch and I feel very loved and supported by all of you! :hugs:
Things here are very good at the moment! Amelia is loving bottle feeding thankgoodness! She is being a guts! She used to sleep through the night, but now she wakes twice! I am not complaining though - as she needs to gain weight.
Here's the really good news.........
I had Amelia weighed yesterday and after just one week on formula - she has gained 360gms! I was sooooo excited! (And so glad I didn't have to ring my hubby in the carpark in tears again.) She has now reacherd the 4kg mark and I think things will only get better from here! I can really notice that she has fattened up in the face and her legs are getting chunkier - She finally has lots of rolls like a baby should. Makes me feel so much better bout the whole BF/FF situation!
Cass - I am so glad that Piper has started feeding more regularly and for longer. Great news chick! I will have my fingers crossed that you get a big gain at the Dr's today. Don't envy you with the papsmear though. I had one the month before I got preggars - so I miss out on the joys of that for a while.
Amy - I'm sorry luv but I can't help you much either. My lochia stopped after 3 weeks and I am yet to get AF - but expecting it soon now that I have stopped BF :(. Like you said - if it continues for a few days and remains really heavy - I would def get it checked out. How is Blake doing?
Deanna - Hope you and Max can get back into the swing of things on your own. MIL's are both good and bad. Mine has been shocking lately, but I just try not to bite .
Judy - Poor Jasmine! - I hope she feels better soon. Did Justin enjoy the Fete with his friends? He is at the age where he is growing up and really enjoying his independence I'll bet.
Flick - I'm glad that you and Hubby are giving it another go - you seem happy about this? I hope Hunter and Cooper aren't too sick and recover quickly for you.
Kat - Bummer about AF! I am awaiting her dreaded return here too! That was one of the great things about being preggars I think - no AF! Hope your hubby has a lovely birthday, even if you can't DTD!
Renee - Great news about Chrolottes scan. Sounds like she is doing well. U R in Adelaide like me aren't you? I think we are the only ones. What hospy did you have Charlottle in?
Donna - I understand! My DH gets a bit mad at me when I spend too much time on the computer. I try to have internet free days - but it is hard with all the lovely ladies in our Septemberries group! Keep in touch luv - might see ya on facebook?
Lucy - So glad that Jemima is thriving and you are getting lots of smiles and giggles. They melt your heart don't they! Bummer bout going back to work. GL with your expressing - I neverminded it too much - hope it works for you.
Loz - Hope the big boys are being better behaved for you! What a shocking day you had! Are you hoping that Oliver will be the quiter of the 3 boys and give you a bit of a rest? I spose his brothers will prob lead him astray! Gotta love boys!
Jordan - How are Hayley and Izzy? Hope they are both feeling better and you are able to get out of the house. Even if you just go and visit your Sis - you will prob feel better. My BF has a 12 wk old and I try to get over to her place at least once a week - so that I feel like I have a life!
Jel - You are one busy Mumma! Slow down! Are you enjoying having some more alone time with Marley now that the bigger girls are in care a bit more often?
Alison - Welcome home hun! What an ordeal you have been through. Hope things improve for you and the pain eases and you can get your life back! Bet you missed Sierra and Caelyn like mad! Thinking of you :hugs:.
Lisa - How is Oscar going today? Did he have another big sleep for you? Don't stress about it hun - enjoy it! I can't wait for Amelia to start sleeping through again!
Georgia - How is Charlie going? Are you enjoying being back at work or wishing you were still home? You looked lovely on telly the other day .
Mia - Glad you had a nice trip away with your family. Shame bout the weather. Nevermind.
Think that's everyone - Phew! Sorry if I missed anyone!
Have a lovely day Septemberries!
KatieLou, happy birthday to your DH! I hope your bleeding's stopped now. How long ago did it actually stop before it started up again? Mine's still going (only very light though) over 6 weeks on. But last time I remember I also bled for just over 6 weeks. Maybe it's longer this time because of the blood thinning injections I had in hospital this time.
Cassie, when did Piper start smiling? I'm looking forward to Charlotte's first smile. Good to hear Piper's feeding well, how funny about her little eyes rolling back when she gets her milk! Sounds like you're going to be busy today with appointments. Hope they all go well.
Flick, I hope your boys are feeling better soon. :hugs: Glad to hear things are going well with your hubby.
Loz, hope you're having a good day today.
Judy, I hope Jasmine's gastro has cleared up now. Hope Deon had a good sleep for you last night.
Amy, sorry I'm not too sure about the AF. I can't remember how heavy my 1st one was last time. But I always thought that if you were soaking a pad within 3 hours or something like that then it's too heavy.....I'm not 100% sure about that though.
Deanna, great to hear Max's scan went well, and also that he's not so congested now.
Mia, your mum sounds similar to mine. She's so hard to get along with, just wants to argue all the time & can't stand my hubby. Luckily she lives in another state so we don't see much of her. Good to hear your Sydney trip went well & that you now know you can take the kiddies travelling with you without too many probs! We normally go interstate at least once a year, but we're not sure if we will next year because there will be 2 kids now instead of only 1!
Sarah, great to hear Amelia has taken to the bottle well & loves her feeds. Wow, 360gms weight gain in a week is pretty decent! Oh & no, I'm not in Adelaide, I'm in Perth. But Adelaide is where I come from. Which hospital did you have Amelia at?
Me, Charlotte had a great sleep last night. Put her to bed at 11:30pm & she didn't wake up till 6:30 this morning, so I was pretty pleased with that! Sounds like she's waking up again now so I better head off!
Hello all!
J is 6.2 kg so he has put on 2 since birth!!
He is 6 weeks on Sunday.
Still very easygoing and loving his sleep feeds and cuddles. Smiling more and other faces! He is getting stronger every day.
:hugs: to all.

:wave:Hi everyone
Gee there's been some impressive posts - how on earth do you find the time?
Sarah - so glad to hear about Amelia's weight gain :smiliedance:
Cass - good luck for the weigh in today
Renee - My ob said that the blood thinning injections do slow the blood flow down which is why mine was still going at 6 weeks. I still don't think this is af though, it's just too light (not even filling a panty liner), so I am really hoping that it's just a bit left over as I'm so not mentally ready for af yet.
Hi Kymmy - you've got a big boy there!
Ooops, little miss is awake, I'll try and write more later...

Hi girls
Just a flying visit for me, so no personals.
I went to the dr, but she didn't weigh Pip. She said not to worry about her weight, as she is gaining, albeit slowly, and to just wait for my MCHN appt next Friday.
She looked at Pip's pupils, and I've been given a referral to the paediatrician to find out why they are different sizes, and why her left eye slightly squints. She thinks it's just a pinched nerve from the rapid labour. :fingerscrossed:
I had my papsmear, but she found something abnormal, so I'm off to the gyno this arvo - there's $200 I hadn't budgeted for!
Piper still feeding well, so she's got another week to gain some serious grams!
Sarah - I am so happy for you about Millie's weight gain. What an impressive result! Yay for your little soon-to-be porker :smiliedance:
ETA: Pip started responsive smiling at about 4 weeks - she was very early! YOu can tell coz their smile starts in their eyes.
ok so it sounds like everyone has been so busy!
I hope everyone is well and there bubba are to.
Rhylan has reflux, so i spend all of my days taking care of him, and trying to look after jeromie and tenysha. its been really hard. I spent about an hour crying this morning. Im getting worried that depression could be starting, im not sure atm but that is not a road i want to go down again...... i wish i could get on the computer and get some support, but i just dont have time. I am really not coping......
I hope to be able to stay on here for the next hour or so, but i doubt it.

Cass- :hugs:ur nt having a good run are u ?? u poor thing! hope everything goes ok
us: Jack is doing well had appointment at PMH(Kids hospital) today regarding his shoulder that was bruised at Birth. I dont think naything wrong with it.
After getting there at 8.45 and waiting till 10.10 for the doc to actually get in.. Like HELLO!!!!!!!!!!!!! people are waiting!
Doc said he was fine, but then went on to tell me i should consider having a c section next time like WTF?? why? the only reason his shoulder was sore was cos the Ob ripped him out cos the cord around his neck nothing to do with me as such but he didnt bother to ask how it happened!! It really made me sad! i enjoyed natural labour n wouldnt consider an elective C. :banghead:Doctors!
Sorry there is my rant for today! it just annoyed me...
I am feeling good, he is feeding well, sleeping ok!
Nothing else to report!

Thanks for the warm welcome back ladies, I have missed you all heaps!.
Mickie, I know what you mean, I have been crying heaps lately too... Im not sure when you should start worrying that its becoming something more than just the blues. Hopefully though you will start feeling yourself again soon!.
Cant remember all the posts, but :yelclap: For those with babies getting their rolls in :p. Caelyn has heaps, she is already 5.5kilos... but then she was 4.4 born, so i shouldn't be surprised!. She is also smiling and gooing and gahing at everyone... its all so cute!.
Sarah- :hugs: Glad that Amelia is putting on weight with the Formula...it definitely makes that decision easier to deal with when you see them doing well on it.
:hugs:for those with sick kids and or struggling with having more than one... I dont know how you all do it!.
Me- Had the home nurses around today and my temp finally seems to be stable again and my pain is much better today. Getting my pick line (drip in the arm) out tomorrow :smiliedance:. No more carrying around my antibiotics everywhere I go!.
Have a good feeling that this time I might be out of hospital for good... :fingerscrossed:
Going to get into the pool tomorrow once the drip is out and do some walking in there to help stregthen my leg... should be nice in the heat we are having!.

AmyLou your bleeding sounds too heavy so it might be an idea to get yourself checked out by your dr.
Deanna Yay for the MIL going home! Now you can enjoy Max all on your own and get a routine going.
Mia glad you had a great time away.
Sarah what wonderful news that Amelia has gained so much weight! Obviously you made the right decision so please don't feel bad about it.
Renee hopefully Charlotte will continue to sleep well for you at night. I hope you got plenty of sleep as well.
Kymmy good to hear J is doing so well.
Cass I'll keep my :fingerscrossed: that Piper's eye heals up on it's own. Make sure you let us know how much she gains as of next Friday....I bet it'll be a massive amount.
Mickie sorry to hear you're having such a hard time....do you have family close by who could help you out with the bigger kids while you concentrate on Rhylan for a while? Remember that we're always here for you whenever you need to vent, whinge, cry or whatever.
Leece you should have told that dr to read your history and think again about that suggestion...I would have.
Alison after getting that drip out you'll be a free woman tomorrow..WOOHOO! It's great to hear that things are so much better for you and that you're finally able to enjoy your family once again. Swimming is the best excercise so get in that pool as often as you can.
Amy  hun I hope you and Abbie are doing well.
Me I had the day from hell. Deon went for 8hrs between feeds last night but I was woken several times by Justyn throwing up all night. He's rarely ill so he doesn't cope too well when he is.....so he had the day off school today. On top of that, I thought Jasmine's gastro was finished but soon found out this morning that it wasn't. She went through about 20 nappies by 3pm and they were absolutely disgusting every time. The poor little darling has lost a bit of weight from being so sick the past 3 days so it was lovely to see her pig out on her dinner tonight and actually keep it down/in. Things got worse when DP came home from work at lunch time (he finishes early on Fridays) and he climbed into bed. He hasn't gotten out of it unless it's to run to the toilet. Gastro is definitely going through our family and I DO NOT want it nor do I want Deon to get it.
I think I'm going to write today off as a bad joke.:hissy:

Just thought I'd finish up on a light note. I bought a new jar of Vegemite last week and logged onto the website today to see if my code had won anything. I did all that was asked of me, chose a jar of Vegemite to open and won a beach towel! So within the next 28days I will have a bright yellow and red Vegemite beach towel delivered to my door. It's cute but it's one towel that I will NOT be taking out in public.

 ladies
I havent been on much lately a bit depressed I think and with Hayley being sick its been hard.Izzy is perfectly fine but Hayls temp ha sbeen near 40's the last couple of days and with countless visits to the dr finally she's on anitbiotics its the first time I have ever had to medicate her with something other than panadol :( I really hope things start looking up for us soon.
Mickie- :hugs: please know that we are here whenever you need to get something off your chest It must be so hard with Rhylan constantly crying I've had the same troubles with Izzy but hes fine during the day its just night so I really cant compare the stress you must be going through. Is R on any meds for his reflux hun? I have been thinking about you lately and missing you in here
Judy- Poor Jas and Justyn I'm glad she kept her dinner down the poor lil chooky Isnt it terrible when they are sick there is nothing worse I have my fingers crossed for you that you and Deon are safe not to mention that your DP recovers quick we know men are half dead when they get sick:laughing:. I think it must be the change of season everyone is picking nasty bugs up. I had a chuckle at your comment on the vegemite towel but good on you anything free is great
Alison- A swim tomorrow sounds lovely you sound as though your in much better spirits now but whenever you need to vent you know where we are. How are the girls today?
Leece- Who gives a sh!t what they think if you birthed one bub from your giney why cant you birth another  the medical profession really get up my nose sometimes, you know why it happened and thats all that matters dont feel as though you need to explain yourself to anyone
Cass- How did you go a the gyno today hun? I'm also sh!tting about my check as I've previously had an abnormal pap so I'm meant to have them 6 monthly but refused while pregnant. I hope your ok. I do remember pips blood shot eye and was actually thinking that may be why I hope it is nothing serious and will fix itself in time :smiliedance: for the weightgain
Kymmy- You must have some liquid gold in those boobies J is doing extremely well

Hi everyone
Well the last couple of days with the few mins ive had ive done big personal posts and then losing them.. was not happy.. now its gone too long :(
wanted to say hi to everyone.
im feeling like a bad mum... poor Cooper yesterday was being a bit norty, not like him, i was trying to type was only a few mins to myself and he kept bashing the keyboard, i said no and he cried so bad :( i felt terrible, picked him up and noticed he was a little warm.. still feel guilty.. took him to the doc, hes got a fever but thats all.. had it for two days but i think its passing now.. dont know if its related to teething?? but he is cutting 6 teeth at the moment.
Hunters reflux is playing up big time.. i went down this road with Cooper but Coop's was so much worse, im coping though because i know what to expect and dont know any different.. i have no idea what its like to have a baby that sleeps or that doesn't cry constantly.. Mickie if you need to chat im here.. Cooper and Hunter both have reflux.. Coopers was extreame, if theres anything u wanna ask or talk about keep me in mind.
The poor boys have screamed non stop for days.. its so heart breaking and its really hard work.. there in bed at the moment.. i feel like going outside closing the door and just letting out a big "arghhhh" just to take this weight off my chest.
im thinking of you all.. sorry about the lack of personals.

Just thought I'd finish up on a light note. I chose a jar of Vegemite to open and won a beach towel!
Amy: I agree with Judy, get it checked out just to be sure.
Thanks for the crossing of fingers Judy. It doesn't seem to be bothering her, but it kind of freaks me out looking at her pupils! I'm also hoping for a big weight gain.
I am so sorry to hear that gastro is running through your house. I hope your munchkins (DH included) are feeling better soon. Gastro is not nice at all! Kaidy got it when she was a newborn, and sprayed me from head to toe with poo - :barf:Literally!
Also, yay for winning stuff! I love that!
I havent been on much lately a bit depressed
Jordan: :hugs: honey - keep an eye on it, and remember to talk to someone you trust if you need some help. Sick kiddies are hard to deal with, let alone doing it without help! I take my hat off to you, you are coping amazingly well.
im feeling like a bad mum... i said no and he cried so bad
Hunters reflux is playing up big time.. . i have no idea what its like to have a baby that sleeps or that doesn't cry constantly..
. i feel like going outside closing the door and just letting out a big "arghhhh" just to take this weight off my chest.
Flick: For starters, saying "no" to your boy does not make you a bad mum! Trust me, thats nothing! Give yourself a break - you've been under a lot of pressure lately, so don't stress!
I'm sorry to hear that Hunter is having a rough time with his reflux. I've been so lucky with my girls, and have no idea what you are going trhough! :hugs:for you!
Re: the going outside for a big yell - why don't you? I've done it! It does make me feel better. If you are worried about the neighbours hearing, go into yoru bedroom and scream into a pillow!
Me: Went to the gyno yesterday and I had some retained membranes. It was easy to remove, just like another pap smear really - nice, 2 paps in one day - my dreams come true
DH has gotten his referral for the snip - the dr thinks it'll only be about a 2 month wait. Also, we were doing so much talking that she forgot to give me the pill script. so Mick ain't getting lucky til he gets the snip :p
Pip slept through last night! All my girls have slept trhough from 6 weeks, and Pip is 6 weeks today! She slept from 11pm to 630am! Needless to say I woke in a massive puddle, and with a throbbing chest! I think I actually left a milk trail behind me as I walked hehehehe.
I'm getting my dishwasher installed today!Judy, how much did it cost you to get yours installed? I've got a friends hubby coming for a cash-in-hand job, but it's still costing me $150. Is that a lot in comparison?
I'm so excited about the washer, coz Mick thought he'd give it a go last week, so he removed the old dishwasher, so we've been without for a week. The girls also have swimming this morning, and I'm thinking of mowing the lawns! Notice I said THINKING!
Chat soon lovely ladies, I hope you all have a fab day.

Danielle - you did such a good job with Nevada's costume - she's just adorable!
Thanks for sharing chicky!
Hey everyone
Hope everyone is enjoying their lovely Saturday morning! So we finally got a new thread - I was wondering when it was going to happen!
Cass - glad to hear that the retained membranes were easy to fix. So do you need to have another pap now or all fixed until next time? Congrats on Pip sleeping through - what a good girl she is for her mummy! I hope her dilated pupil is nothing to worry about. Oh and good on you for doing a lot of "thinking"!! How are your lovely girls going?
Danielle - congrats on Nevada winning the contest! How cool is that! And well done on making the costume -it looks awesome. Are you in Brisbane? Which side? (don't feel you have to reply if too personal)
Flick - hey! don't feel bad about saying "no" - it's called discipline imo. Poor Cooper - 6 teeth at once! We only have the two year molars left and then we are done. Only to start all over again with Darcie. Although I'm going to try and get one of those teething necklaces for Darcie. Is the reflux getting any better? Does Cooper still get it or did it settle down once he started solids? Oh and I agree with Cass - if you want to scream then scream! I know I've done it before when Cooper was a bub and I'd just had enough (he was a colicky baby)!
Jordan - big :hugs: for poor little Hayley and sorry you had to put her on medication you didn't want to - hopefully she is feeling better now. And if you are feeling depressed maybe you should see you doc just to keep an eye on it (this goes for you too mickie and Alison! - I'm putting my stern but caring mummy hat on for you girls)
Judy - yeah on the beach towel! Any win is a good win! Hope everyone is feeling better in your household sooner rather than later. And :fingerscrossed: that you and Deon manage to evade all the sickness! How is Jas going in her bed? Cooper has wanted to sleep in his bed the last couple of nights but wakes about midnight and then wants to go in the cot. Won't dismantle his cot until beginning of Dec so still have a while for him to adapt (he is a Capricorn so need to do these things at his pace)
Alison - it is great to see you back! Hopefully that is the last of the hospital visits now! How long til the clot goes completely? Can you walk around without any pain now? It will be nice to get back to the pool! Which pool do you go to? I use to go to Chermside quite often before I had Cooper - don't get to go too much now.
Leece - glad to hear all is going well! Don't you just love doctors that just make assumptions about your medical history instead of actually just reading or asking you so they now exactly what has happened - grr!
Amylou - your bleeding sounds similar to me. It had basically all gone - just watery brown discharge and was using a liner. But then at about 4wks got bright red bleeding again (and I had just given away my remaining pads to my SIL who is due in Jan!) Now its back to a little bit of discharge. From memory this is what happened with Cooper too and both were c/sec. Hope all is going good with Blake and the weight loss!
Kymmy - Hi! Wow what a good milker you are! J sounds like he is doing great! how are your other kids liking having a new bro?
A big  to everyone I've missed (I have read your posts but can't remember - sorry!)
Us - Well Darcie is definately a strong little squirmer! I brought a swaddleme wrap cause I was sick of her getting out of her wrap. And she can still get her arms out of this wrap - what the!! But it does hold her better and thus helping her to settle easier so well worth the money! Have been having pretty good sleeps at night. Slept 9.30pm til 3.00am then til 6.00am but she had some wind so then fed again at 7.00am. Can't complain as she is heaps better then Cooper was. DH at work this am so just hanging around in pj's with Cooper! Have to remember to fix Darcie squeky (sp?) door today - keeps rousing her when I leave her room!
Anyways must go and have some breaky!
Cheers, shaz :D

I have woken with a crook tummy so I think everyone else has shared their gastro around a little too well. Everyone else seems ok today and now I feel like cr@p.
Jordan you're an amazing lady/mum and I'm sure that Hayley will recover quickly now that she's on some medication. :hugs:
Felicity as Cass said, you're not a bad mum at all. Saying "no" doesn't mean anything aside from the fact that you didn't want him hitting the keyboard. Have you ever actually gone outside and screamed? They say that doing something like that is like releasing your pent up frustration so it could be worth a go even if your neighbours look at you funny.
Danielle you did a fantastic job on the costumes! Nevada looks adorable..no wonder she won.
Cass good to hear that those membranes were easily removed. Now that you're all clean n clear it's a bugger about forgetting the script. There are always good ole rubbers if you're desperate. ;)
Re : dishwasher installation costs - I can't compare the costs with yours as we don't have an old dishwasherr to replace...ours is brand new. Yesterday we had a space cut in underneath the bench and the plumber will be installing the dishwasher by the end of next week. There are no existing pipes so it all has to be done from scratch. All up it's going to cost us around $500.
Shaz Jasmine is doing really well in her big bed now. She still escapes a few times most nights but once she's asleep she stays there till morning....then she climbs in with us for a while. Enjoy your time in you pj's....I'm still in my dressing gown.

Danielle- Tarrant and Nevada looked absoloutely gorgeous and cheeky  thanks for sharing
Jordan: :hugs: honey - keep an eye on it, and remember to talk to someone you trust if you need some help. Sick kiddies are hard to deal with, let alone doing it without help! I take my hat off to you, you are coping amazingly well.
Thanks hun I have been thinking I may need some councelling I am coping really well with the kids on my own its just the sadness, hurt and anger I feel from Aaron I even went as far as telling him I wanted him to come home when he is sleeping with someone else already but I soon snapped myself out of it and told him it wasnt right I deserver better I know but the heartbreak doesnt go away. The sad part is the girl he is with will get hurt too because he told me he doesnt love her and he's only there because she gives him money and he cant be on his own  makes me wonder why he was ever with me after being told that not that she is any better I took my car seat bolts from his car because I needed them and now she takes her 6 month old in the car not bolted in so it worries me about the safety of my kids when with them ok rant over. I'm glad they gotrid of the retained products in there lucky you didnt leave it too long before having the pap . I had to laugh at the thinking of mowing the lawn I think about doing alot of things that never get done haha.
Oh Judy :hugs: how long does gastro last.I hope your ok.Hows Justyn and Jas today?
Shaz- you have a great sleeper on your hands I do too but never look at the time when he gets up for feeds lol, half the time I wake up in the morning and he's in my bed.Do you think I can remember how he got there?
Enjoy your weekend ladies I may go shopping with Dani tomorrow some retail therapy might do me some good
Kymmy - boy what a grower your bub is, well done!
Cass - so glad you have stopped worrying about Pip, I'm sure she will have gained heaps next time. I didn't know that retained membranes could take that long to show themselves, wow. Glad it's over?
Mixy - so sorry you are feeling rotten - just take a look at this thread to know you are not alone.
Leece - what a **** doctor to infer that you should have c-sections, what a load of rubbish!
Alison - hooray for you and fx you are home and healthy for good.
Judy - I'm sorry you caught the gastro bug, hope it clears quickly, it's so hard to stay healthy with a toddler in the house isn't it
Dantaz - Nevada looks very cute in her devil outfit, lol
Shazza - well done on the sleeps. I'm an expert wrapper these days, lol, they do sleep better swaddled, but then it can be hard to wean them off it, we had a time of it with DS.
Me - we had a good night, she slept from 8pm to 3.30am, had a good sleep in the sling at the shops this morning and then stayed in a very good mood for a 2yo birthday party and is finally back in her cot but a little touchy, probably was a bit too much adventure. She was quite grizzly yesterday and I was so relieved when everyone was finally in bed!
Re smiles - Cami started smiling at four weeks too, that is on the early side of normal. She's a gorgeous little smiler now and has also started talking - little deliberate cooing and gurgling noises when you talk to her. It's so divine.
Also I wonder if everyone else has found this thread? I just found it when I went looking today.
Cass I have never heard of retained membranes, what would have happened if you hadn't had a pap smear and it wasn't found? Glad all is good now for you :hugs:. I hope little Pip's pupil can correct itself, be sure to let us know how she goes.
We too put a dishwasher in this year but my very handy DH did it. I had to loose the L part of my kitchen bench so now stools etc for the boys anymore and their is no benchtop over the dishwasher top, but blends in ok. No matter what he did the DW was too tall to fit under the bench. I didn't care in the end I just wanted to press the start button LOL! I only put it on about 3 times a week and wash-up in between as we tend to run out of stuff otherwise and the plasticware dosen't dry very well.
Judy Oh, you poor thing, if you do have gastro I hope you only touch on it. There is nothing worse than gastro with kids, it such a horrible thing to catch. Just think in a few days or so you will all be heaps better and you can put it behind you. I had it in my 1st trimester with Ollie and it was terrible .
Danielle What a great outfit, well done :yelclap:. She is such a cutie :flowerz:. You must have been stoked she won!
Shazza What a little wriggler you have there, babies are such escape artists from their wraps. It is soooo cute how they shoulder their way out then the hand pops out...and it's like suprise!!!!! Oliver sleeps on his tum so no wrapping for him, he hated it, used to go red in face like he was in straight jacket everytime, flipped him over one day and magic!
Jordan :hugs: maybe some councelling would be good for you, can u get some support at no cost. My sister's DH was away lastweek for the whole week and she was stuffed looking after her 18month and 4yo on her own. We both readily said Single Mum's are amazing.
Gotta go, he is waking....

I was so relieved when everyone was finally in bed!
:iagree::iagree: oh yes mam I hear ya!
We have had a crazy busy week so i've been reading but haven't had time to post. Lots of work and dh hasn't been home to help as he has been working 20 hr days all week.
Charlie is still a lil champ but still not interested in going any longer tha 2 or 3 hrs without a feed. Demand feeding can be demanding ;)
Sophia is being very rough now with Charlie which is quite upsetting and she just laughs when I try and discipline her :hair:
He is also making all those lovely baby noises and big smile/laughs - it is heartwarming. He also loves looking at himself in the mirror and laughs and coos at himself :bee:

:hugs::hugs: Mickie - I hope you're ok and getting enough help. I hope it's ot PND but if it is that you get the support you need. I came across this the other day as a gf of mine is also struggling with a bub with reflux http://www.reflux.org.au/survival.php

Arugh!!! How on earth do men do it? DH just got me really mad by lazing on the couch while I did everything else and when I finally made a snide comment, he cracked it and now I feel really bad! Arughhh!
OK, that's my vent for now.... *exhale*
Stay tuned for the next instalment tonight. We're going to my MILs for dinner. I'm still angry at her for turning up to my place on Sunday tipsy, taking Cassidy out of her swing when I told her that she should go back to sleep and then letting a 2 yo hold an upset Cassidy while my mil took a photo 2 metres away. So as Cassidy has decided not to sleep today, tonight should be fun and I am most likely going to crack it at someone.
OK, so I thought the vent was over, but I guess not. Maybe I need to count to 10 :)
I'll go back and read what's been going on with everyone else now....

I think I just have a touch of gastro as I have only thrown up once (just after I posted last) but I do have the tummy aches that go with it. I googled breastfeeding and gastro to see if there was anything specific that I should/shouldn't do/eat and all that came up was breastfeeding a bub who has gastro. There seems to be nothing on a breastfeeding mum with gastro......so if anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Jordan Jasmine is better today but still not completely over her gastro.....it's only the bottom end which isn't too bad. Justyn has fully recovered and DP is almost recovered. Just me left to get over it now......with a bit of luck it'll be gone within a few days.
Have fun shopping.....it'll do you the world of good to get out and socialise (and spend some money).
Mia YAY for Cami sleeping so well last night. I hear you on being relieved when all the kids are in bed.
Loz I had a chuckle at you wanting to push the start button on your dishwasher. I'm hanging out to do the same thing but ours will fit under the bench.....we'll have to lose the bar stools too though. How do you cope having Oliver sleep on his tummy? I would be stressing out way too much to let Deon sleep that way.
Georgia I reckon babies are demanding whether they're BF or not. Either way they keep up busy. Sorry to hear that Sophia is being rough with Charlie. Jasmine went through the same thing a while ago and I just had to make sure that I didn't leave them alone together plus I watched her carefully when Deon was on the play gym. She is heaps better now but my guard is still up. Good luck hun.
Kat :hugs: for you. My DP copped it last night for a similar reason....Men can be so non-domestic and thoughtless at times. Re the MIL - I'd never let a tipsy person pick up any of my kids so I completely understand why you're so angry with her. Good luck for tonight and please try and enjoy yourself.

Judy - just keep yor fluids up honey! I hope you feel better soon chick.
Shaz: It does sound like Darcie is a squirmer! Here's hoping your new swaddle thing works!
I can't remember anything else! Hi to all!
My dishwasher wasn't put in, coz I don't have all the parts :hair:. so, I have ordered what I need, and won't get it until Wed or Thurs! Then I can install it myself - saves me $150.
GeorgiaAnne

Judy - I remember asking when I had gastro when I was b'fing Sophia it is fine but just to keep your fluids up and wash your hands lots (obviously )
Hope you feel better soon luv):hugs:
Georgia - hullo hun, I can't believe you manage your two little ones with DH away working such long hours, I would go to the pack :(
Rip sometimes tries things on with Cami such as tonight in the bath he threw a toy at her (only a soft foam thing but still) he got ripped out of the bath super fast by DP and given a talking to. We also have to watch him carefully when he is around her. He likes her a lot, but you just know they are still a little confused and stressed and need to test the boundaries etc.
Katielou - how rude of your MIL. My family are also a bit the sort to barge in and over excite and over handle my babies and I don't like it, but they accuse us of being too controlling and too routine focussed, which makes us mad because all we are doing is following the baby's lead as to when she has had enough etc. Keep sticking up for yourself and your bub.

Girls, I am hearing you about the kids being rough, but I have the problem that they want to cuddle her all the time. The issue with this is that I went to the loo the other day, and when I came back into the lounge, Piper was in the rocker, with both big sisters on either side, tugging her back and forth saying "no, she's mine!" Luckily they didn't hurt her, but they keep arguing over her. Yesterday they were bickering over who Piper was smiling at: "no she smiled at me, not you!". It's driving me nuts, but also makes me smile!
I'm lucky that this is my only issue with the girls I suppose. I have no real advice, coz I haven't had an issue like some of you guys.
ETA: when they were tugging her back and forth, Piper was smiling at them! she thought it was great - they were being gentle! Just a bit forcefully gentle!

Thanks for all the advice ladies. I have been drinking plenty of water throughout the day but I noticed that Deon wasn't feeding as well as he usually does so I forced myself to eat a small banana, a kiwi fruit, half a peanut butter sandwich and have just finished a handful of jellybeans (for the sugar content). Deon fed better at his last feed so hopefully he is still getting enough nutrients etc from my BM to keep him nourished. I still feel awful but no worse than I did earlier.
Cass well done on saving yourself $150. Can you come and install my dishwasher on the cheap and I'll pay you for it?
Georgia I've been so careful that I've been using Dettol disinfectant hand lotion.
Mia good on you for standing up for yourself consistently. My patience wouldn't go that far and I'd end up telling my family to butt out and leave me alone.
I think I might leave DS2 and DP to watch their movie and try and have an early night tonight. I'm not usually tired this early so I think my body is telling me it needs a rest. Take care everyone!

OMG another massive post i lost... its really peeving me off now!!
HI everyone
I will try and do personals again... so sorry if i miss anyone expecting Hunter up soon.
Cass i had to chuckle over your girls fighting over Piper thats so adoreable... Cooper loves Hunter so much hes always cuddling kissing and patting and Hunter gives him the biggest gummy smiles its so heart warming and brings a tear to my eye.
Judy I hope you get over the bug soon and you and your family are feeling better asap.
Georgia i dont know how you juggle two kiddies and work... i need some tips from you!! your a legend.
Katielou i know what you mean about MIL's mines 2500kms away and still causes so much trouble.. are they necessary.. seriously haha
Loz i still think your amazing for venturing out with 3 kid's even though it sounded like you had a rough time.. im not game to venture out with two on my own.. we got our tax done today and took the boys were only gone an hour approx and it was hard work.
Danielle that out fit is too cute!!
Jordon Mickie and Leece how are you guys doing? and anyone else ive missed.

Were doing ok here... I had to go to the shops today and do a proper food shop.. its been so busy ive only been able to duck out and grab the essentials when ever i can get mum to watch the boys for a few mins.. so hubby was alone with the pair of them for the first time for 2 hours... first time ive been away from Hunter and i cried... i really missed the boys i dont spend time away from them. Came back to the house being like a bomb had gone off.. nothing was done, both kids screaming.. and he tells me it was easy he could have done alot if he'd wanted too (grr he tells me i should be doing more during the day around the house instead of staying up late to do it) wasn't happy!
I did such a big shop that my car was sooo chockers.. and its a big AWD the sad part is i spent just under $400 didnt get any meat and missed somethings... food shoppings is rediculiously expensive!! I need to staple my mouth shut so i dont eat and lose weight!!
Both boys are in bed at the moment.. Hunters reflux was bad today and he was in a lot of pain and Coopers teeth are still driving him nuts... Hunters been a sleep for a couple of hours now and its been 6 hours since his last feed.. cant believe it!! every now and then he goes a fair while between feeds... its amazing hes such a good boy!
thanks to everyone, i have spent a bit of time talking to DH, etc, and i am feeling better. hopefully it stays like that. not out of the woods, yet have some sh!t from my child hood to work through, but hopefully that can hold off for at least a little while...
Alison, did you go to the pool today? i hope your feeling all better soon. when do you think we should seek help? i dont know...
Jordan, i hope your feeling better. did you go shopping? (was that you...hhmmm?)
Flick, sometimes it good to know that others are having similur problems
dantaz, she is to cute, and what a wonderful pirate tarrant makes!
. Demand feeding can be demanding ;)
you said it :p
I was on that website just a couple of days ago but thanks for the link
Re: reflux, has anyone else tried homeopathic remedies for it? we are trying Brauer brand 'stomach calm' for rhylan, and it is working really well :) after the first two doses he went without a feed for 4 hours (that NEVER happens during the day), he has not had a big vomit since we started it (yesterday lunch time), and even the little ones are better, and this arvo i was able to put him down only about 10 mins after a feed! and he is using the dummy HEAPS less (we only use it when he wont settle at all) so for anyone willing to give it a try, its all natural stuff :)
Hi girls
Just had a few bad days here, was sick and feeling pretty s**t etc coz i couldnt look after Mia and so DH has been so great! Feeling better now though
KatieLou - You did well to not crack it with your MIL, i definitely wouldnt have been that calm with her.
Judy - How are you feeling today? did you get a good sleep last night?
Mickie - Glad you are starting to feel better! I hope you can work through the rest when you feel up to it. :hugs:Thats great news that Rhylan is doing a lot better now, fx it keeps getting better
Flick - wow thats a massive shop, i cant believe with that amount spent that you missed stuff. Im heaps happy for you that you and dh are working together to try and sort things out. How are your boys today?
Cass - yah for sleeping through for so long. Im glad everything worked out ok at the gyno, at least you wont have to worry bout having another pap for a couple of yrs. Im happy coz mine are back to yearly now as had an abnormal one a couple of yrs back and had to have an op and then 4 monthly for a yr and now back to yrly so fx these results fm last week come back fine.
Well its dinner time here so best be off for now,
Hope everyone had a great weekend :)

Hey guys
How is everyone's weekends been?
Well today was my first session of boot camp to get this booty back into shape. It was pushing us but I'm happy how I managed to keep up with most considering there was only 1 other new mum there the rest had older kids etc a few were suprised I was back wanting to do that type of pushing so soon lol.
Then I came home & a gf & I spent the day cooking things, we made mini quiches, zucchini slices, tandoori chicken tartlets, low fat muffins (banana & choc chip). So now I should be set for easy meals & snacks for a little while.
I'm gonna be sore tomorrow.

Hi
My name is Jess and i am new to the boards. Not sure if i can join this group??
I am a first time mummy to a beautiful little girl named Matilda. She was born on the 24th of September and was 7 pounds 5 oz and 49.5 cm long.
I have has a tough few weeks with litle sleep and lots of screaming.
I am pretty sure she has silent refulx. We have tried everything so know i think i need to look into the medication road (i really dont want to though)
today for example... she hasnt had a proper sleep since 1pm other than catnapping in our arms. She screamed from about 6pm till 9pm. Surely this is not normal
i am worried as she sleeps really well in the morning as long as she is in the pouch. She doesnt want to sleep unless i am holding her.
anyway sorry for rambling...any advise???
Jess

 Ladies
Welcome Jess sure you can join the more the merrier, my son also has what I think is silent reflux the only advice I can give is from what I've read and it seems you arent meant to jiggle a reflux baby (I made that mistake for a while) I also give DS 0.2ml of infacol drops before his night feeds to settle his tummy you canbuy these over the counter good luck its very tough and stressful
Good on you Amy sounds like fun but I agree you will be so sore tomorrow the snacks sound so yummy
Mickie- :hugs: take all the time you need I hope things start to look up for you soon, and I'm glad the 'stomach calm' is helping Rhylan's reflux its so stressful isnt it.Why do I get the stomach stuff from? I wouldnt mind trying it with Izzy too Id rather go natural than use the infacol
Flick- I'm sure your DH could do everything  Dont be made to feel lazy hun being a new mum (as we already know) is bloody hard work while you DH minded the kids for 2hrs its harder on our own all day you are doing great the bloody housework can wait pm me if you ever wanna chat
Cass- I could just imagine the girls 'no she was smiling at me' ' no she was smiling at me, not you' I'd find it hard telling them to stop it without having a little giggle. Hayley gets a bit aggrevated I think that Izzy doesnt talk and when he's waving his arms around she cracks iit because she thinks he's smacking her  but she does love him and smothers him in kisses just gets a bit rough sometimes
Judy how are you feeling today hun did you manage to get an early night last night?
ME- :smiliedance: I got out of this house today woohoo my sis, myself and the 3 kiddies jumped in a cab to the shopping centre and had lunch and did some shopping.I bought a really nice top for myself but now that I've tried it on I dont like it it shows too much boob, not a good thing when they are covered in stretchies and 2 different sizes HAHAHA. Got Izzy a baby book an outfit, hayley a dress and printed $50 worth of photos so it was great fun
I'm off to shower before one of my bubs wakes up
Hi guys, hope you've all had a great w/e. We had a pretty lazy day yesterday but were busy today. Went to a fair this morning. Katelyn had a ball getting her face painted, seeing Fat Cat & jumping on the jumpy castle. Then had a bbq at the BIL's place this afternoon.
Charlotte had another great sleep last night.....over 7 hours! Hopefully she does the same again tonight. :fingerscrossed:
Kymmy, that's pretty impressive weight gain by your boy!
KatieLou, :fingerscrossed: your AF's not back yet. It does sound like it's just a bit of residual if it's so light. How did it go at the MIL's last night?
Cass, oh that's a bugger about having to get 2 pap smears, but good that everything's cleared up now. Oh & YAY for Pip sleeping through the night!
Mickie, just sending some hugs your way. :hugs:
Leece, that sucks that you had to wait so long for the doc. I just hate it when certain docs think they can just rock up to work any time they like even though people are waiting for them......:hair:
Alison, I hadn't been keeping up to date with this thread before so I missed why you were in hospital. What was the reason? I'm glad that you're out now & are feeling better.
Judy, glad to hear that Jasmine's gastro is clearing up and Justyn is all better, but no good that you & your hubby caught it! I hope Deon doesn't get it too. LOL about the vegemite towel!
Jordan, well done with your shopping trip today. How's Hayley feeling now? Is she better?
Flick, sorry to hear you're having such a hard time at the moment & that Hunter's reflux is so bad now. How's Cooper doing? Has his fever settled down now?
Danielle, those pics of Nevada are so cute! No wonder she won the best dressed awards. Congrats! :)
Shazza, good to hear that the new wrap is helping Darcie sleep better.
Mia, how cute that Cami's cooing now. I love it when they do that!
Amy, well done going back to boot camp!
Jess, welcome! Sorry to hear that you're not getting much sleep. I hope that Matilda's reflux problems can be sorted out.
Hi Loz, Georgia, Lavin & anyone else I've forgotten.
OK, I'm off to bed now. Night everyone!

hi everyone :)
i will do personals soon as i can... i might be mising for a few days... myself and the two boys have the flu and a gastro bug :(
thinking of you all
Hey everyone
Wow it was a quite w/end wasn't it!? What was everyone up to - anything exciting?
Flick - hope you and the boys are feeling better soon! :hugs: sorry but i had to laugh at your DH believing he could do your job even though he was happy to have the house messy! And  at how much you spent at shopping - I think i would have passed out at the checkout if my shopping came to that! I have to do our shop today - fun and games!
Judy - hope you are feeling better by now and :fingerscrossed: that its all finished for your household now!
renee - sounds like you all had a great time yesterday! And wow on Charlotte sleeping for 7 hours - you must be feeling great!
Jordan - great to hear you got out of the house for a bit of retail therapy! and i'm glad I'm not the only one who has odd sized boobs! Although I must admit that while I'm bf is one of the only times I really show them off cause they can actually fill out a shirt nicely! Oh and the Brauers stuff the Mickie is talking about is available at most Chemists. The range is awesome - I use the Cold and flu & Teething Relief for Cooper.
Jess - Hi and welcome to you and Matilda! Sounds like you are both doing it a bit tough at the moment with the silent reflux - a couple of the girls here can sympathise with you on that. The only things I know for silent reflux babes are the raising cot and when burping don't pat. She is obviously needing you for comfort if she is sleeping on you only - poor Matilda. Good luck in finding something that settles her stomach and hope to see you around more.
Amy - well done on going to bootcamp! I've always wanted to do one of those! but instead we have a wii now! I'm dying to use it but don't know if I should wait until after I see obs seeing as though I had a c/sec. Care to share your muffin recipe - all my recipes are on my computer which has sh!t itself (still on dads laptop)
Mickie - so glad to read that you are feeling better - well done for unloading to DH (that's what they are there for). Being able to talk about your feelings etc is a great way to deal with depression - like a weight has been lifted cause you are sharing not carrying the burden yourself. And awesome to hear the Brauers stuff is helping Rhylan with the reflux! its always a relief to know they aren't in as much pain anymore! Here are some :hugs: for the tough time you've had!
And  to everyone I've missed! How are you all going?
Us - Going good! Not too much going on - housework and stuff! DH has today and tomorrow off (RDO) so we are going to take Cooper to the pond to feed the ducks a bit later - he will love it - he loves his ducks! Does anyone have any plans for tomorrow? I might see if Mum can watch Cooper for a couple of hours so DH and I can go and put a few bets on.
Anyways, hope everyone has a great day!
Cheers, shaz

Just rang my OB, the midwife answered said either will b back into hospital or see OB in her rooms then ultrasound then hospital so either way bk to hospital :(
:crying:things are just nt going right for me
Flick i really hope u n the boys feel better soon!!
Jess - hi, welcome!!
Take Care
Morning all! Charlotte didn't sleep through last night, but only woke up the once so I guess I can't really complain.
Flick, I hope you & the boys are feeling better soon. Having both the flu & gastro on top of that doesn't sound too pleasant at all. :hugs:
Shaz, that's great that your DH has the day off today. Is he good at helping out around the house on his days off? Enjoy yourselves at the pond later! Re tomorrow, nah I don't have any plans for Melbourne Cup....I normally go in the sweeps at work when I'm not on maternity leave!
Leece, you poor thing how scary! I hope your ob can sort things out for you today and that you don't have any more bleeding. :hugs:

Hiya ladies! I feel so much better today and so do the kids. :smiliedance: DP still has a touch of gastro but he's well enough to go to work so it's all good. My little man is regularly sleeping 7-8hrs every night and has become more and more settled during the day. He's also gotten rather chubby and looks more like Jasmine every day.
Felicity OMG at spending $400 on groceries...that'd feed our family for 2 weeks. How are the boys today?
Mickie how is Rhylan going and also yourself? If you think you have PND, try contacting PANDA (http://www.panda.org.au/) <---click for link. I had PND after DS2 and PANDA were absolutely amazing...I think they helped me more than any anti-d's ever did. Whenever you feel you're not coping is the right time to seek help hun....before it gets worse. :hugs:
Lavinia I got plenty of sleep the last few nights, thank goodness. Are you feeling better yet?
Amy well done for getting back to boot camp and cooking up a treat too. I wish I could find the time/energy to do the same thing.
Jess a big  and welcome to the Septemberries ! I think my little man may also have silent reflux but with slightly different signs to what Matilda has. I found a lot of info on this site RISA (http://www.reflux.org.au/index.php) so it may help you as well.
Jordan YAY for getting out and about. I hope the Brauers works for Izzy.
Renee what did Katelyn get painted on her face? YAY for Charlotte sleeping so long....you must feel so much more rested now.
Shaz have fun feeding the ducks and enjoy your extra days with DH being home. No plans for tomorrow here aside from maybe a few visitors who haven't yet seen Deon. Good luck with the horse that you bet on.
Leece you poor thing! How awful that you're having more problems. Get those dr's onto to it quick smart and make sure they fix you up properly this time hun. I'm thinking of you.

Hi Jess, I am Cassie, and welcome to the Septemberries! I have three daughters - Baylee is 5, Kaiden is 3 and Piper was born on 20th September, weighing 9lb2oz, 52cm long. :cloud9:
I don't have any real suggestions for you, but it is very common for bubs to have unsettled periods per day - often for up to 3 hours from one feed to the next. Also, I wouldn't sleep by myself if my mummy held me too . Good luck and let us know how you go - get it checked out to ease your mind.
Looked down i was standing in a pool of blood

.
Judy, I am so pleased that you are feeling better, and YAY for Deon sleeping so well! Piper slept through again last night too :smiliedance:. I don't know how much it will muck up her feeds though, but I find that all she does is feed after sleeping through!
I took the three girls to Bug-a-Lugs today, which is an indoor play centre. They had a ball! We stayed there and had lunch, and all three are having a nap as I type - it's like heaven here right now - no noise! Not even a tv is on - pure bliss!
Going to a friends tomorrow for Melb Cup - should be fun! Champers (nto for me though ) and chicken. We are all getting frocked up, which should be fun! No boys, just women and kids. She has a really child-friendly house, so it shoudl be good fun. And if the big girls act up, I'll just call Mick and get him to come and get them!
Hope you are all well.

I'm gonna have to take Jasmine out to a friends place this arvo cos I bribed her last night to get her to go straight to sleep in her own bed. BTW it's quiet here atm too.....till one of them wakes.

Judy, what a bummer about the play centre! Here on Monday's it's cheap - only $4 per child to get in, or $11 for entry, bag of chips, poptop, coffee & bickie for mum. So, it cost me $30 for entry, snacks, coffee, and fed 6 of us for lunch - got to be happy with that!
I just checked on all three girls and they are actually ASLEEP not just resting - how freakin' awesome is that! They were playing for abut 4 hours though, tuckered themselves out

Jasmine is now awake so my quiet time is over. Someone wants to draw so I'd best get the crayons and paper out to keep her happy.

Amy Thanks for the update on Leece. I hope they do something to resolve her problem while she's in there.
Judy, so glad to hear that you're all feeling much better now. Yay for Deon's big long sleeps, you must be loving that! Katelyn got what was meant to be Mickey Mouse painted on one of her cheeks (didn't much look like him though, just looked like a bear lol) & some glitter starts on the other cheek.
Cass, that Bug-a-lugs place sounds like fun. Sounds similar to Toddler Town which is another indoor play centre we have in Perth. Oh how nice all 3 girls having a nap at once! Does that happen often?
Amy, thanks for the update on Leece. I hope the docs can find out what's wrong.
Hi ladies how are we going??? I just read everything and can't remember a thing! BABY BRAIN!! haha i milk it for all its worth!
Well good news, my bleeding has now slowed down and has changed from bright red to brown so i really think it was my first AF just really REALLY heavy!
Blake is still being a wondering baby, i really can't complain! At night he has his last feed at about 9-9.30 then doesn't wake for 5-6 hours which has been nice.. although i am going to complain about something, after that feed i put him back to bed and he usually wakes 2 hours later and is quite unsettled... i'm trying to think why he does this... it happens every morning... i'm thinking MAYBE i am putting him back to bed too soon, as i'm so tired and just can't wait to get back to bed, so maybe he's getting wind and it's causing him pain...?? what do we think? i usually get him out of his cradle and cuddle him in my bed and he USUALLY falls back to sleep for a few hours which is nice but sometimes he doesn't. I'd prefer he stay in his bed and have 3-4 hours solid sleep... Hmmm!!
Poor Leece, i hope she's ok, she's really had a rough trot!
Thanks in advance ladies!
Hi girls
Judy - Glad you and the family are nearly back to full health. Yeah im feeling much better thanks, think it was just a bug for a few days. thats great that Deon is sleeping so well during the night
Cass - Sounds like that play centre is plenty of fun and $30 for all of that is really good! Hope you are having some nice peace and quiet while your girls are asleep and you have a great day tomorrow for the cup!
Hi Jess, welcome to the septemberries group, they are all a lovely bunch of ladies and happy to chat bout anything so feel free to join in any time! I hope you find out whats wrong with little Matilda soon :)
AmyLou - sorry I have no suggestions but i hope you and Blake can figure it out soon, but yah for the 5-6 hours sleep, thats awesome :)
I hope Leece is ok, thanks for the updates Amy!
Well bets are on for tomorrow, fx we win something! Mia slept for her longest time so far last night, 11pm to 630am! :smiliedance:

Hi Ladies!
Feeling a little less than perfect but wanted to say welcome to Jess and Matilda... and a big hug for Leece...hope she is doing ok.
After scoring an extra week off work DH finally went back to work this morning (very reluctantly)...we were both quite upset and have enjoyed the time as a family... i spent the day being very teary... was a bit of an emotional wreck...i'm sure it will be better tomorrow...is that normal for a first time mum...Oscar is an angel so I don't know why I feel daunted doing it on my own :crying: hopefully it will get better if I get more confident...
Love and Hugs to all...

Lisa - Your post made me want to cry so I thought I'd send :hugs::hugs::hugs: since I can't give you one in person. It gets easier & can seem very daunting as a first time mum to be home alone with them. Take it one day at a time & as long as you are both fed for the day thats all that matters to start with. The house work etc will still be there to be done. Take it 1 step at a time & if you feel you are not coping its very ok to ask for help.

:hugs::hugs: oh thank you hun...now I'm teary again...I even got teary when Oscar's face lit up when he saw his dad tonight... i have so so so much respect for the ladies on our thread with more than one bubba and/or doing it on their own... i am trying to draw on your strength...
I hid my tears from Oscar...lol..does that sound silly....we will be ok... just an adjustment I think....bloody hell imagine when I have to go back to work... i will have to be dragged there! :(

Hey Pink, i felt exactly the same when hubby went back to work, going from doing it together day/night to doing it by yourself is definitely daunting at first but as you do it more often you will feel much better and confident! and just think the first day is over now and you both got through it so you know you can! :hugs: I wish i didnt have to go back to work either, i go back next month, when do you have to go back?

Nope! That is the first time I've ever had all 3 in bed asleep at the same time during the day! It will probably NEVER happen again! But, all three are now lying in their beds fighting sleep, the older two are whispering and Pip is crying
although i am going to complain about something, after that feed i put him back to bed and he usually wakes 2 hours later and is quite unsettled
amy - I have no suggestions for you. I would recommend that you DON"T stimulate him and keep him up, coz you want him to know that it is sleep time. Good luck though. :hugs:
Gotta go, Pip's amped up her crying!
Night
What do you mean Cass?? Like don't take him out of bed?
Hi everyone
Georgia - sorry :o I never had this with Cooper though so for me 6/7 hours is awesome with Darcie. Cooper still wakes 1/2 times a night and he is 22 months!
Lisa - it will be hard to go back to work so make sure you enjoy Oscar now as it will go way too quickly. And :hugs: for being upset today without DH - it is hard to not have them around! don't worry you will get into a routine soon enough and you will wonder what you were worried about!
Amy - glad to hear the bleeding is stopping! My first thought with Blake being unsettled was wind. I'm guilty of doing the same thing with the night feeds - just want to go back to bed and don't burp properly! Or maybe that is his unsettled time and I don't know what you could do for that - sorry.
Amy - thanks for the update on Leece.
Leece - thinking of you and hope the docs can sort it all out soon!
Cass - wow! all 3 girls asleep at once! Maybe you should take them to the play centre more often!
Judy - glad to hear everyone is feeling better! And :smiliedance: for Deon having big sleeps for you. Bet you appreciated that.
Us - didn't end up going to the pond as it looked like it was going to storm (although it didn't)! But mum and dad came over and took Cooper across the road to the park so I'm glad he got out of the house! While he was there I brought a swing set off ebay for $50!!! What a bargain! Had homemade hamburgers for dinner - soooo good - could barely fit my big gob around it!
Anyways hope everyone has a great night.
Cheers, Shaz :D
unfortunately i dont think the bleeding is stopping... back to bright red... will ring ob tomorrow, hopefully he can see me :(

What do you mean Cass?? Like don't take him out of bed?
Sorry, didn't want to confuse you!
Get him out of bed and feed him. Minimal fuss, minimal light. If you feel comfy with it, only change his bottom if he's pooed - I leave wee in there at night to minimise disruption. Again that's up to you with his skin sensitivity, nappy rash etc.
Don't talk to him, make very minimal eye contact etc. You need to be very relaxed. Also, if you wrap him, maybe after you feed and change him (if you wanna change him :)), re-swaddle him and burp him over your shoulder. That way if you lul him back to sleep while patting him, you don't have to wake him by swaddling him.
Does that make sense
Yeah thanks hun im gonna spend longer burping him after his feed overnight then give wat u said a go if he wakes! Thanks cass!
 jess, im pretty sure there are a few of us with refluxy babies, some worse than others, feel free to chat
Joran, tenysha thinks rhylan is hitting her and she is old enough to 'get it!'
Flick, i hope you feel better soon
Leece :hugs: i hope its all sorted out really soon
lisa, i have had a day of crying with each of my kids when hubby went back to work, it is scary to do it alone for the first (second, third... you get the point) time, it does get easier, remember to rest when you can and FORGET the house work
AM I THE ONLY ONE WITH A CHILD WHO ALWAYS WAKES EVERY 2-3 HOURS??!!!!!!!!!! GETTING SICK OF ALL THE BRAGGING GIRLS!! :p
:hissy: me, if rhylan goes for 2 hours im happy, 3 hours i think i can count on 1 hand how many times he has done that. he does sleep alright at night, wakes once or twice between 8pm and 6am, but during the day, its constant.
Well my boy definatly has a problem with wheat, screamed for 3 hours from one piece of cake.... that was fun..... (i ate the cake not him!)
Cass thanks for the txt today, it really ment alot. the poor boy was screaming his lungs out, so i really could not chat, but he was better after about 15/20 mins
Can i just say that although my bubba is really difficult to settle, and it is really trying for me, i would not change him for the world, i love him so so so much, he has the most devine fat little face, and when he stops and looks into my eyes my heart just melts. I just wanted to get theat out because i only seem to whinge about him.
Thanks to everyone for listen to me ramble :D

My day has consisted of feeding Deon and having him drop straight back off to sleep. He has shortened the time it takes to feed (down to about 15-20mins) and isn't choking on the let down as often so maybe he's drinking so much that he's too full to do anything other than sleep? Dunno.....just tossing around ideas here..what do you ladies think? Surely he can't be on another growth spurt already.
AmyLou good luck tonight with Blake. Cass gave you great advice there....I do exactly the same with Deon and he settles really well after each night feed until his morning feed. That's when he sees the light coming in through the loungeroom window and that's his cue for playtime (even if it's 7am and I don't wanna be awake). I hope you can get onto your OB tomorrow.
Lisa big :hugs: you're normal, hun. I was the same with DS1 and was scared sh!tless with DS2 cos I was on my own all the time (XH was in rehab hospital after a car accident). Leave the housework, take it easy and concentrate on yourself and Oscar and things will settle down soon enough. I have PM'd you.
Georgia and Amy I'm sending Charlie and Abbie some sleep vibes....they can have some of mine but NOT Deon's.:p
Cass I hope you cherished the time today with all 3 kids asleep at the same time. It's a rarity that I am aware of with my 2 bubs....that time is OUR time for US not housework!
Shaz that swing set was a bargain. Do you have to go far to pick it up?
Mickie :hugs: to you cos you need them. I'm sorry that poor little Rhylan is so unsettled during the day for you.....hopefully his reflux won't last too long. BTW, I never once thought that you didn't adore your little man.
Hi to everyone else....hope everyone is lucky with their bets on the Melbourne Cup.
AmyLou, that's not good about the bleeding. I hope your ob can see you tomorrow. Not sure that I can help with Blake's unsettledness in the mornings. When you get him up for his feed do you keep the lights low & not talk to him at all? I found this helped with Charlotte getting her back to sleep quicker after her feed during the night. She has woken up a few times a couple of hours after a feed but normally just goes back to sleep if I re-wrap her.
Lavin, yay for Mia's big sleep last night! Hope you have a win on the Cup tomorrow! :fingerscrossed:
Lisa, big hugs to you. :hugs: I was a bit worried at 1st when the hubby went back to work after I'd had Katelyn, wondering how I'd manage on my own, but it didn't take too long to get used to it. As Amy has already said, just take it one step at a time & the housework can wait for a while!
Amy, OMG are you back at work already?? What do you do? How many days a week do you work? I'm not going back till mid January, when Charlotte's 4 months old. Then the hubby will get to take over....I think that'll be a sock to his system looking after a 3 yr old & a bub LOL!
Cass, I hope your girls all eventually gave in to the sleep fairy!
Shaz, well done on getting that swing set off ebay. What a bargain!
Mickie, big hugs to you. I'm sorry that Rhylan's being so difficult to settle. :hugs:

Hi Ladies  Happy cup day!
Very quickly as DD is stirring, but I wanted to let you know that I am still alive. I haven't caught up with the last few days yet but I will eventually.
Not much going on here, I have had an insect problem in my nappy squares that I use as burp cloths, the cover on my feeding piullow and anything else I need to clean up, they came off the line the other day covered in little insects and I didn't realise until dd was lying on one having a feed and my arm was itchy  Hopefully I have it sorted now. Not a good feeling though.
Today we all get to see what I call my DH's "other woman". He's been responsible for getting all of the marquees at Flemington Racecourse up, which is why he's been at work so much and under so much pressure. So today if you're watching the races and you see the marquees, think of my DH. I get him back after this weekend though - the other woman is not as demanding then which I am really looking forward to.
Gotta go, write more tonight hopefully. Going to my parents house today...
:hugs: to everyone who needs/wants them and :D to all.

GRR i just lost a huge post!! Lets see what i member
THanks for all the thoughts ladies!!
Im bk home and no better off than before i went to the stupid hospital. My ob pretty much doesnt no what it is and doesnt wanna do tests. She didnt do an ultrasound a blood test anything just gave me anti b which is for infection but im nt showing signs of infections :banghead:
DF thinks i would be better off going to another hospital for a second opinion. ?!?!
Jack was good for me last night, we have been having probs settling him he only sleeps 2hours in his own bed put him in ours he will sleep all night.
Well last night we took him for a walk and got bk about 9.30 he slept till 2.30 then fed straight bk to sleep till 8.30 and is asleep again now :smiliedance: i stil feel dead tho haha
Amylou - :hugs: i feel for u! Hope ur bleeding stops soon
Shaz what a bargin
Mickie :hugs:
:hugs:to everyone hope every one has a good day!
Morning all. Hope you all had good sleeps that weren't interrupted too many times! No 7 hour sleep from Charlotte last night. She went to bed at 11pm, woke up at 4:30am for a feed then went back to sleep till 8:15, so I guess that's not too bad!
AmyLou, how did Blake go this morning? Did you manage to get him to settle better after his feed?
Leece, that's no ggod that your doc didn't want to do any tests. I agree with your DF about getting a second opinion!
KatieLou, insects in your burp cloths certainly doesn't sound good.....making me itchy just thinking about it! Good to hear you're getting your hubby back from the "other woman" soon!
Georgia, yay for Charlie's 5 hour sleep last night! :smiliedance: No good about you getting the flu though. I hope you get over it quickly. :fingerscrossed:
Have a great day everyone & good luck to everyone who's put a bet on the Melbourne Cup today! :fingerscrossed:
Hi ladies!
Blake was better this morning... it's not actually settling him after his night feed, he goes straight back to sleep so i normally pop him back into bed and i think that may be the problem... it's actually after he's slept 2 hours after his night feed that he is unsettled... so last night what i did was after i fed him i kept him on my chest and was patting him like i was burping him for about 20 mins, then put him back to bed. he woke up 3 hours later at 6.30 so that was good. He woke up hungry not really unsettled.. then after that feed he fell asleep on my chest so i layed on the couch and we woke up at 9! I'm feeling quite good today!
spoke to my ob and he said it is quite normal to have heavy periods for a while after having a bub, he wasn't worried as i'm not having any pain or fevers or anything so i will just see him on thursday!
I'm off to lunch with my sis, two of her three kids and my mum at the local leagues club! Should be a nice arvo!
have a good day everyone!
Georgia, hurrah for your first five hour break!
You ladies who are bleeding a lot, I hope you consider taking a good vitamin with iron in it to help you re-build. When I had the bleed after the birth, I needed to take iron as I was really washed out for a week or two.
Amylou, the night time feeds are really tricky aren't they? Cameo is a good night feeder so far, she often only feeds once. DP picks her up, checks nappy (we've also decided to leave her nappy if she hasn't pooed and isn't too wet) hand her to me, I greet her quietly just to let her know she's arrived at the feeding station lol, feed her and burp her (but not too long, just to see if there's some wind ready to come up) and re-wrap her and leave her to it, she usually self settles or is half asleep from the feed. We have a really dull blue night light we use. DS was harder, he tended to stay awake after feeds and we'd have anything from 1-3 hours (on a really bad night) trying to get him back to sleep. It's maddening isn't it?
Those ladies that keep their bubs up in the evenings, how do you do it? We've been keeping Cam up from 5-8pm but by 7.30 she is totally cranky and over tired and just screams in the bath.
Hi Ladies,
Well hope some people won some good money for the cup this arvo! :)
Shaz - Thats great getting that swing set!
Pink - How was your day today? Hope your feeling better today with Oscar :hugs:
Mickie - thats really beautiful what you said about Rhylan. i hope you are feeling better now

Leece - How are you feeling today chick? Did you end up going to another hospital for a second opinion?

We are all doing well here. Kids adore J and he doesn't seem to mind them!
J has sunburn on his face so I feel bad. :(
I have sunburn too
btw J is feeding at least every 3-4 hours. I am not clockwatching but I know he feeds often.
Bad news here, I think I have a touch of mastitis. I've never had it before. This afternoon I noticed a really sore, tender left breast, on the underside, and then soon after I noticed flu type sore joints and aches. I can't really get to a doctor until tomorrow because public holiday + night time, and my book says that you can sometimes resolve it yourself so fingers crossed I am trying to. I took some panadol and am having a restful evening and tried really hard to empty that breast at the last feed. I might wake her earlier than normal tonight and try to do it again.

I found spinning my arm in big circles like i'm bowling a cricket ball helped, seemed to loosen the area or something? Give it a good go in the shower as well.
Hope it gets better soon - the anti bios do work really quickly though if you need them.
I'm feeling a bit better now and had a nice quiet day.
All good and having an early night :)

Mia I had quiet bad mastisis with Cooper and was luckly able to get rid of it with out antibiotics... definately see your doc tomorrow but the ladies at the hospital helped me by;
1. In the shower no hot water on the sore breast
2. Ice packs or keeping cool on the breast
3. Keep feeding and trying to really empty the breast each time.
If you get this post in time it might help you get threw the night.. sometimes though its just that bad that you need some extra help with anitbiotics.. fingers crossed you feel better soon... maybe also call the hospital and speak to the midwives they will also maybe be able to help with suggestions... I am/was concerned about the no hot water and cold packs etc incase it decreased your supply?? i suggest talking to them first maybe before doing it (i was no longer breast feeding at the time) Yeah on second thoughts speak to someone before doing that incase you lose your supply.
Hi to everyone else... ive been missing with me and the kiddies sick... we are getting over being sick yay!! ive missed so much on here.
To those working or going back to work I know what you mean its so hard... after having Cooper i went back to work when he was 6 months old... lucky for me where i work is open 24/7 so i was able to go back part time instead of full time and mainly worked nights so i could spend days with Cooper. If i did an extra shift and it was day time he went to mums. Its so hard being away from them...
Shazza my Cooper doesn't sleep threw the night either, hes almost 20 months and fingers crossed this sat and mon nights just gone hes slept from 8pm till 4am and thats a first!!
All you girls whos bubbas and kiddies sleep in the mornings are sooo luckly... Cooper and Hunter both since they were born wake for the day between 4-4.30am.. no chance of getting them back down ever... i cant remember the last time i slept in...
Leece im worried hope everything settles down soon.
Georgia im with you... Cooper and Hunter are both shocking sleepers.. not wanting to scare you but Cooper woke anywhere between every 10mins - 1hr till he was about 16 months old.. its only been the last 3 months hes gone longer between waking.. so im with you on the sleepless nights! Hunter at night will go an hour or two between waking normally... during the day hes happy to sleep if its in my arms rocking or lightly bouncing.. if i stop he screams and it takes hours to settle him again... my feet hurt so much... there so badly cracked there bleeding.. argh... and to top it off DH i asked him if he could take Hunter for me I was so exhausted and in pain... he said "no why should I" OMG i was not happy...
Amy Blake sounds similar to what Hunter does threw the night.. .maybe Blake does have a little bit of silent reflux after all? i find why Hunter is unsettled a couple hours after a feed in the middle of the night is because ive put him back down in bed too soon... i think the earlier feeds I hold him up right for longer... also maybe Blake has wind? i find infacol a life saver if your not already using it.. makes a big difference.
Hi Lavin, Katielou, Katelyns mum, Judy and Cass, Mummadj and everyone else, sorry haven't meant to forget anyone brain is foggy!
Poor Coopers really not handling the lack of attention well still.. he loves Hunter sooo much but finds it hard when im with Hunter.. feeding trying to settle etc... Coopers really started playing up.. pulling my hair (no one elses) tantrums, screaming, refusing to eat, wanting to be picked up all the time.. im so heart broken thats not my normal little boy... did anyone else go threw this?? im starting to worry something may be not right ?? Hes a very normal kid otherwise...rolled from birth, smiled from 5 weeks, Crawled at 5 months, walked at 10 months, can understand anything i ask or say to him even specific things like "do you want to take the thomas dvd off and put a wiggles dvd on?" he will pick out a wiggles dvd put in it the player and get it started etc (not that he watches lots of tv just an example) hes sharing, loves to have people play with him or show them what hes doing, he cuddles kisses... but he doesn't talk.. well he does talk non stop all day.. but i cant understand many words at all... i have taken him to his paed who says hes normal and sometimes boys are slower to talk clearly but is that normal?? I have so much on my plate i dont want to over look this if its not normal?
I hope im just being a worry wort?
Hope everyones well.. i didn't win on the cup today.. guess thats not expected when you only put $3 bet on hehe
Leece - hope your bleeding settles down for you, maybe your old gp might have some answers :fingerscrossed:
Lisa - :hugs: how did you go today with your little man? just take it easy, you don't have to be wonderwoman - just enjoy your time together and try not to get stressed out. After having dh home for so long, it's natural to feel a bit lost without him to help out
Nope you are not alone hun. Miss Abbie is my clock lol. every 3 hrs for a feed spot on.

Mixy - hope today was a better day :hugs:
So today if you're watching the races and you see the marquees, think of my DH.
i thought of your dh !! now all the hype is over, you might have him more to yourself!
Georgia - hope your flu is clearing up, and yay on charlie sleeping longer at night!
Mia - i understand the pain and illness you're going through. i don't know if mine was mastitis or infected blocked duct, same symptoms as you described. i didn't need antibiotics, just massaged the cr*p out of the breast - hot washers, hot showers, draining it as much as possible and worked the lump out. it's so painful, and you'll probably be so relieved when it has passed.
**from betterhealth.com
" Treatment
measures that can help treat blocked milk ducts include:
The baby feeding well on the affected breast – offering the affected breast first can help
The application of heat before a feed, gentle massage of the affected area during feeding, and cold packs after a feed for comfort
A change in feeding position
Frequent drainage of the breast through feeding and expressing.
If the blockage does not clear within 8 to 12 hours, see your doctor.
Treatment for infective mastitis should begin immediately. You should consult your doctor. Options include:
Continued breastfeeding to drain the breast
Antibiotics, for example flucloxacillin or cephalexin
Anti-inflammatory medication (such as ibuprofen) or analgesia (such as paracetamol) to relieve pain, if necessary
Rest and adequate fluid intake
Heat before a feed and cold after
Varying the feeding position to increase breast drainage." (unquote)
flick - you sound like you've got a lot on your plate. hope you are coping ok with everything. cooper sounds like he's playing up to get your attention. i doubt whether there's anything else going on, and the paed says he's ok developmentally. i wouldn't worry about him not saying a lot of words you understand - he's only 20mths old - you won't be able to stop him in 12 months!!
the hours you describe for work sound like mine - are you a nurse? if so, what area do you work?
** us - things here going really well. can't complain really. well i can about the older two , but marley has been such a good baby. wakes once or twice though the night still, but otherwise all is well.

Hi Jel glad to hear Marley is such a good girl :)
no im nothing as exciting as a nurse hehe.. i work in security.... not a guard, i think thats peoples first thoughts when you say security... behind the sceens security stuff
Hi, thanks for the help on mastitis ladies.
I feel rather improved actually. I read all three of my baby books and followed the advice. It was tricky because Cam sleeps well at night and even though I tried to add a feed at midnight she wouldn't have it, so I had to wait until 3am. It's impossible to know if you've drained a breast and now they're both over full so I'm just doing my best. The symptoms have eased though. As a stroke of good luck I had my follow up ob appointment today so he gave me a script for anti bios if I want them.
Leece - good luck today chick, i hope everything gets sorted for you today! :hugs:
Kymmy - Hope the sunburn settles down for you both soon
Mia - I hope all the girls useful tips worked for you last night and you are feeling better now
Georgia - Glad your feeling better and hope you had a good early sleep last night
Flick - How are you today?
Well no money won here yesterday! Today is hubbys first day off from night shifts, so we may go shopping a bit later on, maybe do the rest of the christmas shopping tomorrow...
Hi to everyone else, hope your all having good days :)
Mia im glad your feeling better now and at least you have the script to get the antibiotics if you need them :hugs:

Hey ladies,
I have been reading just not up to posting lately I have alot going on and dont want to put a downer on everyone.
I cant believe my boy is 7 weeks old today :cloud9: I cant complain about his sleeping though he's been great except for the 3-4hrs he screams of a afternoon but I can handle that once he's down I get him up for a feed at around 12:30-1am because I cant sleep anyway and then he sleeps til 6:30-7am which is great I actually had a bath with him last night and he loved it.DD is at kindy tomorrow for the first time in 4 weeks (they have a child going to be absent ) so I'm going to able to spend some much needed 1 on 1 time with Izzy tomorrow and Friday
I will get a chance to catch up soon I have been thinking of you all and keeping up with the septemberrie munchkins :D
Hi danni glad to see you back I too took a while to find this place
Have a good day everyone

hi guys
just a quick one for me
well i have decided to put nevada on formula as i had her weighed yesterday and she still hasent put any weight so the decision was agonising but i have to do what i feel is the right thing for her
i mean she is 8 weeks old nearly and is just over 4 kg still so tiny
also i went shopping today with tarrant and he fell off a bench seat in the shopping centre and hit his head and now has a lump the size of a golf ball on his forehead i feel sooooo bad
hugs to jordan im sure hayley will love kindy
Evening Ladies
Haven't posted for a few days or so but have been reading, just so busy especially when DH is on night shifts.
Cass How is the b/f going? Thinking of Pip's weigh in this week, is it Thur or Friday?
Lisa How u going luv? You will be ok , it is always a bit nerve racking and emotional being left alone with just bub for the first time and your DH sounds like he has been so supportive. A good cry probably did you the world of good, I know it does for me and I am well overdue for a good well-up, I don't even have time for a cry .
Amy Lucky you, your pamper pack sounds lovely!!! Enjoy~
Mia Glad your boob is better. I had a big tender lump too lastweek and I just fed and fed on it, it seemed to be only think I could focus on for nearly 2 days, the lump! It is soooo relieving when bub finally gets it. I now know for sure if Oliver has emptied the breast as he has a long wait then maybe a dozen or so long slow gulps then the boob is jelly like iykwim.
Jordan  Hun, hope your worries are being sorted out, we are here if you need to vent and you are not putting a damper on things, vent away luv :hugs:.
Missing so many of you, gotta go, Nicholas just inhaled his pasta and wants more, growing young men here.
Hi everyone how are we??
Well Blake woke up 2 hours after a feed again but i got up and just tucked him back in again and he slept for another hour so then when he woke up he was ready for a feed. After that feed we went back to bed and he would only give me an hour! little bugger!
Anyway once we were up we got ready and went and visited Alison at her house! The poor thing is still in a lot of pain, i felt so sorry for her! She said she is better than she has been so that's a good thing! Sierra is so much bigger than the last time i saw her and Caelyn is such a cutie! Slept the whole time i was there! Blake just loved Caelyn's rocker, he was put in there after his bottle he had when we first got there and then woke up about 3.45 hrs later! Was very nice to catch up with her again!
Hope everyone has had a good day!
AmyLou That is so nice you were able to visit Alison, she sounds like she has been down a long road. Sounds like you might need one of those rockers for Blake :detective:.

Hi girls - I have been lurking, but not really posting. Haven't had much to add!
Mia: very pleased to hear your mastitis is feeling better! I remember when I had it a couple of weeks ago - it wasn't nice and I caught it really early!
Lavin: Bummer about no money won for you chick! I didn't win through the TAB (actually bet on 2 horses - they came 22nd & 23rd:laughing:), but I won $14 on sweeps. Went to a friends place, we had a chicken & champers lunch with about 7 ladies, and about a million kids! But it was fun still!
Danni: Hi chick! Sorry to hear about Bryce, but don't be too hard on yourself - if he needs meds, then he needs meds!
Jordan: Have fun with Izzy tomorrow chick - it's lovely just having one on one time. Although Pip still sleeps all the time, so there is not much interaction - just a lot of boobs and swaddling!
Dantaz: :hugs: honey! You've done what you had to do to make sure your beautiful Nevada is healthy! Try not to be too upset, but I know how heart-renching that decision is. Remember too vent here if you need to!
Loz: Yes, Piper has her weighin on Friday. I think that it should be ok (:fingerscrossed:), as she seems to be plumping up a bit in the thighs. I have decided that regardless of the result, as long as she is gaining, and is a happy/healthy girl, then I'm not going to stress. I've been demand feeding, and she can feed anywhere from 2 to 4 hourly. I feel like a jersey cow! I cant complain though as she has slept through for 4 out of the past 5 nights. Needless to say I'm not telling the MCHN that though - she'd probably take me out the back and shoot me for letting her go 7 hours without a feed! all she needs to know is "yes Jill, Piper has been getting the extra feed!"
Amy: so nice that you got to see Alison - I've been thinking of her a bit lately!
Me: Nothing really happening here. Bay's been a little turd, with back-chatting being her fave pasttime at the moment. Piper is an awesome baby (sorry Georgia!), and is so easy to care for!
gotta go
ETA: Sorry about the abrupt end to the post - a friend walked in the house sobbing - she's just broken up with her long-term boyfriend (term used loosely!)
Danielle Oh luv, you have been so good and persistent with b/f Nevada, give yourself a pat on the back for all the love you put into it. I'm sure little Miss will just love her formula and and will probably be a big little miss soon . Nicholas also got a horrid bump on his forehead today, he just fell out of the stroller straight onto Cole's floor. I didn't strap him in as he was just resting his legs for a while. Mind you I had the baby bag on my shoulder as it tends to tip my Maclaren Stroller, Oliver in my arms and Nicholas in the pram.....the whole scene was quite **** all I needed was James (he was at pre-school) and I too would have been on the floor sobbing LOL.
I just worked out pre-school will cost us about $2800 next year , I know it isn't heaps compared to some but enough for us.
My sister is starting her son in Kindy next year and wait for it.........the fee is $20 and is voluntary and $25 for a family, we kinda found it funny it was that cheap.
AmyLou You are still doing a great job with Blake, with my first I was loosing hours and hours of sleep everynight and sometimes up for 2 hours at a time, looking back now it was ridiculous.
ollie is up

Hope everyone has a good night!:hugs:

I just worked out pre-school will cost us about $2800 next year
Loz, that's more than it's going to cost to send Baylee to private school!
i had retained product my uterus hadnt contracted (normally with in 4 weeks) hense why i was getting the gushes as it is now contracting back to normal.
Leece, yay for finally finding out what was wrong - no doubt you will start feeling much better soon!
Leece That is so good you finally have an answer for the bleeding and discomfort. Did you have afterpains in hospy? Because when your uterus starts to contract it usually causes quite bad afterpains which intensify with each bub. I feel for you having to go through this and D&C and really hope all is more comfy for you soon.
Cass Yes, I thought it seemed a lot too. James pre-school charges $24 9am-3pm per day (currently he goes till 2pm as they go longer days when older). So, he will go for 2 days a week the yr prior to school and Nicholas starts his first year on Wed only at $20 per day. It just adds up so quickly, not sure I can really afford it but I know James needs the socialisation to help him mature and mix better with kids, he tends to take things the wrong way and am hoping this will prepare him more.

Loz, it's not as bad as childcare - it's costing me about $5000 per child per year at the moment! That's where my kids did their preschool program.

 ladies! Not much to mention from this end...I've been trying to post during the past few days but every time I have tried to, Deon has woken so I gave up.
Amy Abbie's smile is very cute!
Leece I'm glad you got a 2nd opinion....take the antibiotics if you need them - you've been through enough already.
Danni hi again!
Jordan huge :hugs: hun. Don't worry about putting a downer on us....we're here for you in sickness and in health just like an old married couple.
Mia great to hear your boobs are back to normal again.
Danielle you did such a great job persisting with BF so please don't beat yourself up about FF Nevada. She has your love and that's the most important thing in the world to her - not what type of milk she is fed. Poor Tarrant...was he ok after gaining that nice lump?
AmyLou I bet Alison loved having you visit. What a bugger that she's still in so much pain though....I hope it eases up soon for her. Are you going to go out and buy the same rocker so that Blake sleeps at home? ;)
Cass don't forget to let us know how Piper goes after her next weigh in. Have you got your dishwasher parts yet? I'm gonna kill my plumber if he doesn't show up by Friday arvo....last time he earnt himself a bottle of Bundy but he won't even be earning himself a cordial if I don't get my dishwasher installed this week.
OK my memory won't go any further so hi to everyone else...and :hugs:
P.S. I'm getting a bit more sleep these days but I'm finding that I don't have as much patience as I usually do. Is it just me or is anyone else having the same problem? Maybe the events of the past week have drained me....I dunno.....
Hey Judy I meant to ask how you are all feeling now? I hope you are all feeling better and it has left the district! Still no dishwasher what a bummer, it will be worth the wait.
Me I had a terrible night lastnight, Oliver slept for only 3 hours then was up for 2 hours  which he has never done, there was a lot of fussing going on. Then slept another 2.5 hours then was up doing a big windy nappy. He is back in bed now and I am red eyed, oh well, I only hope it was a one off.
I really wanted to feel good today as our New Target store opens today, I was actually going to face the crowds and check out the opening specials and celebrations, not sure if I will now.
Hi everyone!
It was great to see Alison, we hadn't seen eachother in so long! Her mum is there helping her out and she was really lovely! We all had a great chat!
Judy - Blake does sleep at home which is great but i just loved her rocker more than ours! It was so fancy! She said it was about $270, so not sure i can talk hubby into it.. actually i probably could, he's a bit of a softy, i just need to give him good reasons! haha
Leece - i'm so glad you have an answer, let's hope it now stops! My bleeding has finally stopped! yay! My husband couldn't wait for it to finish IYKWIM ;)
Last night my silly boy only slept for four hours at the start of the night... i was getting used to 5-6 hours! ohwell maybe tonight!
Well i'm off to do something unusual today.. shopping!! haha i've been to the shops like everyday for the last 2 weeks! I'm trying to teach my boy to be a good shopper and not like his father that HATES shopping.. ohh except if he's going shopping to buy more gym equipment, then he loves it!
Have a great day ladies!

Hi Girls,
Just a quickie from me - gotta grab a shower while I can!
Worst day yet here yesterday! Amelia refused to sleep and screamed uncontrollably the entire day! I totally lost it - was crying when she cried the poor luv! Made me realise how lucky I am that she is so good usually. Rang DH at 4.30 and begged him to come home...he arrived home at 6.15 and then expected me to go to his parents house for tea! I was sooooo mad. We had big chats and he has agreed that he needs to help/support me alot more! We will see about that one.
My Mum is watching Millie this arvo and I am off to get a massage and a pedicure! Pure bliss! I haven't had a single second of just 'me time' since Millie was born so I can't wait!
Just a few quick personals to those who need them....
Danni - I completely understand! You poor luv - I was where you are 2 weeks ago. Amelia has thrived on the formula and is gaining lots of weight! It is a tough decision, but the right one I'm sure. Nevada will be a little piggy in no time. Amelia used to sleep through - but now she wakes twice overnight for her bottle! She just can't get enough!
Georgia - Millie doesn't sleep through anymore! I am up feeding her anywhere from 1-3am and then 4-7am! I don't mind though as she needs to pork up!
Leece - Glad you have an answer as to whats going on! Hope you feel better soon.
Jordan - :hugs: for you! Thinking about you chick!
Can't remember anything else! Hugs and kisses to all the other Septemberries and their gorgeous bubs!
P.S. Has anyone else been suffering insomnia post-partum? I had it in the late stages of my pregnancy also. I really have soooo much trouble getting off to sleep - which is a pain as Millie wakes twice overnight! All up I think I'm prob only getting 2-3 hours some nights!
Hi everyone , still here lurking !!
lovely to hear all your stories about bubs !!
Tahlia has just turned 6 weeks and is just starting to smile. she now weighs 4.7 kg a kilo up from birth.
We are having a few issues with breastfeeding as well, she like to srceam at my boobs , not sure if it is the let down? Hopefully it resolves !!
I hear you on the insomnia front , it can be a real ***** to get back to sleep, and it only makes it worst when you know u have only a couple of hours before u have to get up again!!!
We too are having to cope on our own DH has just started his season, its not too bad, only the nights that are a pain cos hubby was getting her up and resettleing after a feed.
Big hugs to all !! :hugs:

Sarah - I Hope ur massage and pedicure go well :hugs:I no what u mean i havent had a second to my self, yes we go to my parents but he still looks for me for the care giving...
I Hope ur DH does help u more, Did u work out wat was wrong with her?? Was it a tummy ache or over tired? Jack had a day yest where he refused to sleep too... But slept well again last night n seems to be catching up again 2 day...
Amylou - wow u and ur shopping DF kills me if i go shopping for a day, this week im going shopping twice went yest with a friend and today with my mum
Blake is going to love shopping YAY
Judy - i am finding jack is sleeping more and i am getting less pacient at night :( its nt good but i have found a way around it, i get up and express and then it only takes him 20 min 2 feed rather than up to an hour fart a$$ing around with him attaching cos he is so asleep.
Ok i cant member anything else :(
US: well im sooo dead going to have a look at our Fam pics and pics of Jack today hope they are cute heheheh
doing xmas shopping 2 night
got an appointment with my ob 2 morrow i dunno if i wanna spend more money on her :banghead:
Any ways hope everyone has a good dya
dantaz - i bet you feel better re: FF nevada. a hard decision, but once it's made you're probably feeling relieved. how's poor tarrant's bump? these things happen!
loz - i had one of those scenes at the shops! always happens when there's lots of people around too !
it's ridiculous what we have to pay so much for preschool/day care isn't it.. my girls go to day care 2 days a week. dd1 has the school readiness program there. she is naturally so timid, it has done her a world of good being able to socialise with the other kids, esp the boys. she is a lot more outspoken with them now.
hope oli settles for you tonight. marley has a few hours each night from dinner to 10pm where she won't sleep in her bed, but generally sleeps ok after that. getting up once or twice depending on when her last feed was.
did you venture out to target?
cass - how'd piper go with her weigh-in? i'm glad she's such a good baby for you. these older girls we've got are keeping us on our toes instead . my eldest is back-chatting me too ! and dd2 pretends not to hear me ( or she's so absorbed in whatever she's doing!)
dd1 is excited about starting kindy? how about baylee?
leece - glad things were sorted at the docs. sounds fair enough what they said re uterus contracting.
sarah - hope millie is better today, and is more settled. and that you feel more relaxed after your 'time out' getting pampered!
judy - how's deon today? hope he's more settled .
us - well AF has returned for me. been on the mini-pill for about 8 days. can't remember what happens with the minipill, anyone know re: getting AF each month /or being able to stop it?
took marley in for her needles today, she didn't like them very much. i hope she doesn't have much of a reaction to them in the next few days, as we're going to grandma's for the weekend tomorrow
Okay I need some advice! Cami often saves up a really big poo and it explodes right out of the nappy and creates a massive mustard-coloured waist belt. We have moved her into infant size nappies rather than newborn and it doesn't seem to help. The poo seems to end up around her waist and all over her belly and I can't even figure out how it gets there?! We are even throwing out suits rather than washing them because the stains are so massive.
So:
-what am I doing wrong?
-how do you get poo stains out?
smiley80
06-11-2008, 16:59
poo stains... nappy san for a few hours then washing machine.. i use cold but im a tighta$$ and hang them in the sun... may have to be in the sun for hours.. i was the same was gonna throw out an outfit and mum hung it in the sun and it faded away... i was amazed..
missmilliesmum
06-11-2008, 19:20
Mia - I agree - Sunlight is the best thing for breast fed bubs poo stains - it gets them to magically disappear! Leave the clothing on the line for most of the day and see how you go!
As for not getting Cami to poo everywhere - I'd have no idea! Millie saves em up too - but thats partly due to the formula.
Jel - Ive got my first AF post baby too! Exactly 8 days after starting the mini pill - freaky! But I have also stopped breastfeeding. My OB said your body will just do what it wants in regards to AF when you are on the pill. Sometimes you may get AF and other times maybe not? I think it's gonna annoy me. Might switch to the regular pill as I'm not BF anymore?
Leece - I think Amelia was overtired. She has been fine today thank goodness! Hope your OB can shed some more light if you see her. I agree the $$$ really start to add up after a while. Hope Jack is well.
Well my massage/pedi wasn't that good :(. Got the new girl. Massage wasn't very relaxing and then the usual pedi place was being used so we had to do it elsewhere and I was very uncomfortable. Then to top it off - I chipped/rubbed half the polish off on the way home! I am so not a girly girl sometimes! Shed a tear out of frustration on the way home! Feel quite emotional at the moment. Think it might be the return of the dreaded AF!!!

Hi chicks
My poor lil man has the flu and has had a temp all day and has been very crabby
He had his 6 week check y'day and is now 63 cm and 6.3 kg :eek: what a little monster! He also can now push himself up with his arms on his tummy, i'm sure Sophia couldn't do that til she was about 4 months but he has had good head control since he was born. I also had my check (yay for the pap smear ) and I can resume the boxing training I had to stop when I was pg.
Mia - We have poo-splosions as well and they end up 1/2 way up his back sometimes, not sure there's anything wrong with it though, apart from the mess :D
Sarah - I would def switch to normal pill. My gf got pg on the mini pill.
Loz - Hope you get some more sleep tonight hun.
re: insomnia - don't wanna be alarming but it can be a sign of PND/anxiety. Keep an eye on yourself and ask for help if you need it :hugs: I suffered the insomnia thing with Sophia last time and it was terrible.

Loz Everyone is feeling much better as of today...Jasmine is the only one who isn't quite back to her usual energetic self. She had a 30min nap today and was cranky the rest of the day. She even screamed the house down when she had a bath and that is definitely not like her. Bed time was easy though so I hope she wakes up in a better mood tomorrow.
I hope Oliver was more settled today and sleeps well tonight. Did you end up going to the new Target store?
AmyLou well done for teaching Blake how to shop so early. I did the same with Jasmine and she absolutely LOVES going shopping now.
Sarah sorry to hear that your pamper session was lousy....next time will be better. How did your dinner with the IL's go?
Gremlin good to hear from you again. Deon sometimes screams when he starts feeding cos of my letdown so maybe Tahlia is doing the same. I have heard that expressing a bit before feeding can help with that. What sort of seasonal work does your DH do? There's a lot of seasonal work where I live.
Leece have fun shopping and I hope your pics were all great.
Jel Deon had a much better day today and is already asleep. I am yet to take him for his needles and I'm also hoping that he doesn't have any reactions from them.
Mia I find that a good ole scrub with velvet soap gets the poo stains out quick smart even if you leave the garment sit for a little while. Hanging them on the line also works but I can't be bothered leaving them there longer than everything else. Not sure what you can do about the explosions though.
Georgia poor little Charlie having the flu so soon! Is he ok so far aside from being crabby? I hope it doesn't hang around too long for him.
Jordan thinking of you hun and hoping that you had a better day today.
 to everyone else!
The poo seems to end up around her waist and all over her belly and I can't even figure out how it gets there?!
i do marley's nappy's up fairly tight. what about the little flappy bit at the back of the top of the nappy, and stretching out the leg guards. ?? i chucked out a white little suit last week too, couldn't be bothered trying to get it out. might try the sunshine next time!
Feel quite emotional at the moment. Think it might be the return of the dreaded AF!!!
DH says i've had "attitude" as well, bloody AF! ;)

Hi Judy, glad the gastro is leaving your house. Yep, i'm pretty Charlie's got what I had just sorta achey/flu but nothing else. It freaked me out though as Sophia didn't get sick 'til she was 6 or 7 months old.
Hi Ladies
I hope all is well
Georgia - I hope Charlie is felling better today and gets over his flu very fast.
Sarah - bummer about the massage. nothing worse then a cr$ppy massage. I hope your DH has started to help out more.
AmyLou - Zarah has started to become familiar with shopping as well. She is especially likes a good shoe sale and is leaning to say "Yes, but I saved 25%"
Cass - I hope Pipper weighin goes well today
Well we have switched to formular here to. She started rejecting my boob and expressed BM and was unsettled during the day. We switched over about a week ago (also included thickner as she has a little reflux) and since then we have a baby that likes to sleep during the day and for the first time last night she slept from 8.00pm to 5.30pm. I think she is a happier baby so that has made the decision easier.
I hope everyone has a good day

I just got back from the MCHN getting Piper weighed. And the results are: SHE"S GAINING WEIGHT :smiliedance:, Jill wanted her to gain 200gm, and she'd gained 320gm! In two weeks she'd gained enough weight for 3 weeks! It is such a relief to have had that lifted off my shoulders! She said that Piper is gaining more than she had hoped, and I felt so justified in continuing to BF = I was really worried I"d made the wrong decision.
So her stats are as follows:
BIRTH:
Height:52
Weight: 4150
Head: 35
4WEEKS 3DAYS:
Height: 54.5
Weight: 4380
Head: 36
6WEEKS 6DAYS:
Height: 55
Weight: 4770
Head: 37.5
wow cass that is wonderful im sooooo glad for you
you must be stoked knowing that the decision u made was the right one:smiliedance::smiliedance:
me im slowly weaning nevada off the boob so still BF as well as formula so we will see how it goes
i like your idea of putting the stats up so here are nevadas
birth 3480g hc 33cm L 49cm
3 weeks 3790 hc 35cm L53
7 weeks 4200g hc 37cm L56cm

Tls good to hear Zarah is sleeping so well. I can't believe she slept for 9.5hrs though....she must be an extra content little baby now!
Leece the photo's are great! It'll be fun choosing which ones go up on the walls as there are so many.
Kymmy J sounds like he's growing well if he's getting too heavy already.
Cass you have done an amazing job helping Piper grow so much in just 3 short weeks. Keep up the good work!
Danielle Nevada is also growing well. All these bubs are gonna be huge in no time at all!
We've had a quiet day here....Deon has been feeding and sleeping quite well and Jasmine is back to her normal self - eating me out of house and home.
It's been pouring rain here since lunch time and it doesn't look like it's going to let up so we're stuck inside for the day/night. I might think about venturing out on my own tomorrow and do the grocery shopping but knowing my luck I'll have to take Jasmine with me. Oh well.....a bit of lone mummy time is what she loves so I don't mind.

hi everyone, just a quick one i finally got Hunter to sleep and hes in my arms.
My little bubba is 2 months today and got his needles he screamed and i cried i hate seeing them scared confused and in pain, but better than seeing him sick and in pain if he caught any nasties.
Hunters stats
birth-
3.5kgs
51cm
34cm hc
2 months
5.6kgs clothed
59cm
37cm hc
Cooper had his chicken pox vax today too and screamed, hes 20 months next week and he only weighs 9.8kgs clothed!! hes less than 5th percentile not even on the charts, his height is fine. there not worried hes always been around the 5th percentile... except the first couple of months... hunter and cooper are exactally the same measurements at the same 2 month age.. wonder if hunters going to be a string bean too.... why cant i be so thin haha

oh and i got the guardisil shot... ouch!!!
Oh Cass That is wonderful news, you must be feeling so happy :cloud9:.
Jel Yes, I went to our new Target Store opening yesterday. I bought a top and pair of jeans then basically left, it all got a bit overwhelming but might go back on Sunday. Still it was very nice to actually buy some clothes that weren't Maternity.
Went to the Dorothy Wiggles show today, it was different to the last one we went too. They were all asleep when I arrived there :hissy:, so had to wake them all, we were a bit late but they really enjoyed the show. As it was the 2nd show it wasn't as crowded so nice.
Leece Love the pics, Jack is just adorable and getting so chubby, I bet you both just adore him :bee:. Also, you both look so happy! It must have been nice nice to get some family pics done.
Judy Rain, we need some of that, out water tanks are getting a bit drained lately. Glad to hear miss Jas is back to herself and Deon is doing well.
Oliver is starting to settle more and is giving me huge big round smiles, they are just divine. He loves getting my attention and then flashing me his best look :goodvibes:, he is so darn cute.
I am sitting here watching Shrek 3 on my own  the boys are outside playing and it is nearly dark! Oliver is asleep and my sister is coming up tonight from Sydney, we are very close so really looking forward to seeing her, she is 2yrs younger than me.
Oh this is funny, this lady came up to me yesterday at the shops with her daughter saying how cute Oliver is and how old is he etc...she was a bit of sight, no bra and fuzzy hair LOL, anyway she told me she has 12 kids!!!!!!!!!! 6 boys and 6 girls and her 1st was born when she was 14, docs took her baby away? and her daughter found her 1 yr ago, her daughter only looked about 16 so the woman was probably just 30 ! OMG!!!!
Danielle Glad to hear Nevada is doing so well, maybe you can continue to b/f and bottlefeed? not sure? what do you think/feel?
Flick Oliver is also 2months today, was Hunter born on the 12th? Jel's Marley and Hailey's Malakai were also born on the 12th. You just reminded we need needles too..cry cry!

Hi everyone
Cass- great news about Pip's weight! That must be a huge relief for you!
Georgia - how is Charlie today? I don't know what I'll do when Cass gets sick, I hate the cries that I can't fix, and those big eyes in looking at me in pain, it's like putting a knife through my heart - I guess I better get used to that though!
Flick - I hope everyone has recovered from their vac's. We have ours on Monday - any tips for how to get through it?
Loz - gotta love those smiles eh? Cassidy had a big smiley day today, she was even smiling mid cry, which was a bit strange, but I guess she was trying to be happy :) Glad that you bought some non maternity clothes - I really must get around to that one day. I refuse to buy the size I currently am though, so everything I buy is a bit too small and doesn't look the best. I must get on to losing some weight. 5kgs to be comfy, 10kgs to be ideal.
Sarah - sorry to hear that your pamper day was disappointing. I sometimes have trouble getting back to sleep when I'm up in the night.
Leece - I am also getting impatient at night. We really are very lucky with Cass, but if I have to get up more than usual I get really narky and impatient. I would hate to see how I would be if I had a non-sleeper.
Mia - I agree with sunlight for poo stains. It also works for tomato stains. I once had a tom pasta sauce stain on an old white tee and left it on the line b/c I kept on forgetting to bring it in (I was working long hours and I didn't really care about it as it was so old). Anyway, after a few days the stain was gone. Shocked me!
Judy - is your dishwasher in yet? I hope so!
Us - We've had a good few days, dh has been off work and we have finally worked out how to get the right balance of relaxing for both of us and looking after Cass at the same time.
I've been having a few more bf issues though. I think I had the start of mastitis yesterday, but after feeding heaps off that boob and changing the hold it seems to have gone though. Problem is that nipple was still repairing and the increase in feeding and different hold has made it hurt again  oh well, better than mastitis I guess. There is always one part of the boob that doesn't go completely floppy though, even if I express to empty. It's like 1 eighth piece of pie in the boob that stays a bit hard, it's not red or anything though. Has anyone heard of anything like this?
I went to the chiro today, and as I expected my pelvis and lower back were out from preg/labour. She said that a lot of women find that their pelvic floors are much easier to control once their pelvis has been adjusted, so if anyone's having problems in that regard maybe a quick trip to the chiro could help?
Oops, I wrote another essay.
Time for bed I think... :hugs: to all
toni - glad zarah is going well and sleeping well for you
kymmy -i'm expressing full time, fairly regularly through the day (pretty much whenever bub feeds). J sounds like a big boy!
Cass - yay for piper !
loz - i think our 2 months is next wednesday, 8 weeks today. marley felt hot last night from the needles and a bit grizzly today.
us - we had to have our 10yr old rotty put down early in the week as her mouth cancer (found out a week before bub born) had spread quickly to her throat and nose. we've had 8 weeks to grieve over her, so it wasn't as hard this time as it was with her mate a couple of years ago. anyway, dh has been wanting to get another puppy, and we got one today. he is a staffy, which are meant to be really good with kids. i wasn't all that keen to get another pup, but he is the cutest little thing. he's got a really round belly and looks funny when he runs. the girls aren't all that sure about him yet. dd2 screams when he chases her saying "he's going to eat me!" - mind you this mean savage dog is 7 weeks old

I'm tired from having a busy night with Deon and I don't have a dishwasher yet so that's p***ing me right off. The plumber got stuck digging a huge trench at one of the local McDonalds stores which meant he couldn't get here yesterday. :hissy: I think I'll drink my coffee and hope for some patience or sanity.
Loz enjoy your time with your sister....I know how it is having a sister so far away.
Jordan it's soooo good to hear you're feeling great now......retail therapy is an amazing thing huh!
Danielle whether you continue to BF or change to FF, it doesn't really matter as long as you and Nevada are happy and healthy.
Kat sorry to hear you're having boob problems....have you tried massaging the lump in the shower each day? That usually works for me.
Jel sorry to hear about your dog. Yay for a new puppy to destroy the house/garden though. :p
Hi everyone
Judy: thanks for the tips on bf , i have done away with the pillow she was resting on and just hold her now, she seems to like it more and i can move her round a bit when the letdown is happening. Hubby is a fisherman season is from Nov till May.
Loz: wish i could sent you some rain !! my place is all rain water too.
Leece: loved the photos , where did you get them done?
Cass: congrats on pip weight gain!! im sure it will continue
Tahli seems a little sooky today so i think it will be a day on the boob and in the sling!!
:hugs: wishing an easy day for all
I am thinking of going to visit the MCHN next week.
Have a 8 week check up.
J is 7 weeks tomorrow. And looks about 7 months. In size anyway.

Cass - :yelclap: on Pip's weight gain hun. Making you feel better about yourself now?
Judy - :hugs: I feel for you on the night department. Abbie had an unsettled night Monday & I had to work Tuesday so was kinda like a Zombie lol. I don't mind if she wants to be unsettled during the day that I can handle. I'm glad Jasmine is back to normal. Good to see I don't have the only 2yo who eats out of house & home.
Jel - huge :hugs: hun. Animals become such a part of the family. My parents had to put our Rotty down last year she was 12 so I can understand how you guys must be feeling. Its a hard decision to make even though you know its for their best interest.
Katie - thanks for the tip on the Chiro. Think I might have to make myself an appt.
Danielle - How long does she feed for? Maybe try expressing the foremilk out so she's feeding from the hindmilk which is where the fatness comes from. I remember one of the other girls suggesting this earlier to someone else.
Felicity - hope he settles soon for you hun. Its so not nice seeing them unwell. How are you going hun you've been in my thoughts.
Jordon - How are you going today sweets? Been thinking of ya & added you to msn.
Loz - sounds like he might be going to be a lady's man & work that charm he's got lol.
Toni - Been wondering how you've been getting on hun. So happy to hear that Zarah is sleeping for you.
Kymmy - I'm not breast feeding anymore hun so I won't be able to help you because when I was feeding Declan it took 8 months or so before I got af back.
Leece - haven't forgotten you hun. Love the photos.
Georgia - you are such a sweetie hun, I appreciate everything so much. I hope Charlie & you are feeling better very soon.
Sarah - sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the services hun. :hugs: I've been on the emotions lately too & yup it coincided with AF (don't know what my excuse is now haha). Hope you're feeling back to your normal self soon. Maybe give the salon a bit of feedback they may not know she's doing poorly if she's new & they may want to train her up a bit more. I know we appreciated the feed back when I was working for a spa.
Donna (smiley) hey sweets. how are you guys going. Hope all is well on your side. Would love to hear an update when you have a chance.
Donna (sissy) Thinking of you babe & just wanted to say hi & see how you & the 3 kids are doing.
Mia - hope that you can sort those stains out soon hun. I can't remember the name of the product my mum is now buying but it even removes nicko from pillowcases (can you tell what my little man got up to while visiting Nanna) I'll find out what it is & let you know.
Gremlin - glad to hear Tahlia is doing so well hun. Aren't the smiles to die for.
Amy - How was shopping hun. Sorry I'm such a yo yo on msn lately. The joys of 2 kids lol if its not 1 its the other. Hope to catch up properly soon. Glad you had a nice visit with Alison.
Alison - How are things going with you chickee? Hope the girls are being good & that DH is being a sweetie & helping you out.
Dani - hope Bryce is feeling better soon babe.
Lavina - where are you hiding missy? Hope all is well with you guys. How is miss Mia going?
Mixy - how are you going hunni? & the kidlets? missed you on msn the other day.
Renee - yep this week gone was my 2nd week back to work. If we didn't need the money I wouldn't be back yet. I only work 20hrs/week as an Admin assistant. I'm lucky cause I'm allowed to take Abbie in when I want to. How are you & the girls? Is Katelyn enjoying being a big sister?
Lisa - How are you going sweetie. Miss our chats. Hope all is well with you.
Shaz - how did the muffins & tartlets go? I forgot to tell you to put sugar in it I think lol.
Ok got to run. Abbie awake for a feed & SIL here for me to do her hair will be back later to finish this.

wow Amy that was a post and half good work!! im doing much better now thanks.. things are looking up.. how are you?
hows everyone going? big hellos and :smiliedance: for it being the weekend!!
Hunter's fever appears to have broken, thank goodness! My arm is still sore from the guardisil injection has anyone else found this?
got a question.. i probably should post it in another section but i wanted all you girls opinions i think you'll be honest with me.
Ok its long ill try and make it short... im not sure if what ive done is enough... everything ive ever bought for the boys has been new, i dont have a problem with second hand its just been possible to buy to new. My grandmother is aware that Hunter can be quiet unsettled and so dug out of her shed one of those old wire mesh bouncers as she swears there the best bouncers for settling... so I now have this bouncer that after soooo many years in the back of a shed is in a really bad state, dirty dusty and i think i found a little rat poo on it... eeeeekkkkk (sorry am a major germ freak) anywho i have taken the meshy cover off the frame and over the last 10 days i have been doing the following ;
filling a big bucket with boiling hot water and nappy san (pink container nappy san) soaking for 48 hours i have done this 5 times over the last 10 days
every second day when i change the nappy san water i have been hand washing the net in hot water with washing powder, then soaking again in nappy san so i have hand washed 5 times also...
i have it soaking again at the moment for the 6th time... i am going to wash in my front loader on 60deg temp heavy duty wash twice.. then hang in the sun all day tomorrow...
i plan on putting a thick cover over this mesh netting once cleaned
I have scrubbed the metal frame several times so far... covered in glen 20 and anti baterical sprays as well as washing in hot soapy water etc
would this be safe to use or still too germy???? normally i wouldnt have even thought about it but i dont want to offend her.. but at the same time i dont want to make my son sick or even worse....

Flick- I think the net would be well and truly clean by now you dont have obsessive compulsive disorder now do you? I love the pink napisan its the only thing that gets the poo stains out of Iz's clothes and wraps also if your using an extra cover it will def be fine
Amy- I missed you on msn last night and forgot to log out of bubhub I think its automatic after 10 mins just want to thankyou again for your heartfelt pm I loves ya
I MISS MICKIE in here where are you I hope your going ok and lil R is settling for you I have heard that reflux (sometimes) starts about 3wks and goes about 3months, obviously not for everyone but I'm hoping it is for me Iz started at 3wks so I'm staying positive
HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY to Alison I hope you enjoyed your day with your beautiful family
Georgia & Kymmy- I'm with you both DS is HUUUUUGE yet to have him weighed but he wont be in 000 for much longer either he has a double chin :D
Leece- I'm so so glad your bleeding has subsided I was worried about it.
Judy- I love reatil therapy :D but one good thing is I dont overspend which I have done before (bloody credit cards) I havent touched the BB yet either just adding to it each week so I'm quite proud of myself
Kat- I agree with Judy when in the shower give the lump a massage start at the top and push down to express it out or while bub is feeding if its easier that way it sounds like it may be a blocked duct :hugs:
US- Can you believe I put Izzy down last night after his afternoon feed about 6:30 then I had to wake him up at 12:30 to feed him (he was stirring) and again he slept til 6:30 I could not believe it usually he screams til 9-10pm. Cant wait til tomorrow I'm having my castle hampers delivered so I wont have to food shop for a while which is a bonus so close to chrissy I dont think I'll get it next yr though it works out too expensive I'd rather save that 25 per week and get things on special at the end of the year well enough of my rambling I'm off to finish my cuppa
:hugs: and  all round

I hope I didn't forget anyone earlier cause now I'm buggered & have forgotten what was said any further back.
Went to the shops to get a colour for my SIL so we had Abbie weighed at the chemist while we were there since I hadn't had her weighed since her 8 week needles. She is now up to 5030g from 4400g at her 8 week needles.
Well its going to be a quiet arvo here. Got to go get my hubby from work now.
Leece - I did warn you it was gonna be long haha.
Jordon - anytime babe. I just didn't like seeing you so down & just needed to remind you what a great mum you are. :hugs:
Amy
Flick- I think the net would be well and truly clean by now you dont have obsessive compulsive disorder now do you?

I dnt no what to do, i guess i just wait and see how it goes!
take care ladies will be back later when i feeling better!
night ladies hope all u lovely ladies have a good night :hugs:
That sounds serious Leece :(
Oh and we have had a fairly good time of it lately. Cam sure is a good night sleeper, she goes 8pm to 3, 4 or 5am most nights. During the day she often struggles to stay asleep for more than an hour though. This afternoon we persisted with it and she actually slept for a few so that's good. In the evening she goes in DS's bath and loves it, just floats around spacing out. Then I give her a little massage with some sorbolene fragranced with lavender and chamomile essential oils and she blisses out. Then she gets really ****ty because she's ready for bed, lol. Top up on the boob and off she goes.
The 2yo is being a bit of a pain atm, acting out and whatnot so we have to juggle that all day. It's hard to give him enough me time when I am often feeding or carrying her around. He doesn't seem to respond to books quite as much as he used to.
Thanks for the tips on washing poo, everyone.

Jel - :hugs: for having to say bye to your dog. Yay for the new puppy though! We have a staffy, he's 2 now, and think he's great. They are so cute when they are puppies and dh would like pictures of yours please (I joke that he would have been just as happy with another puppy than a baby!). Our nieces and nephews were scared of him from day dot though, and people often cross the road when we walk him because they don't know the diff b/w staffy's and pitbulls. It used to get upset about it b/c staffy's are good family dogs, but now I use him for protection as well when I'm home alone and anoying sales people come to the door. :)
Mia - I hope that your ds calms down soon. Do you think he is just acting out for attention?
Leece - that does sound really serious. I guess you don't trust your ob anymore? Can you go back to the 2nd dr again?
Judy - bummer about the dishwasher. Any luck today?
Thanks Judy & Jordan for the massaging in the shower tip, it seems to have gone down alot today. Yay!
Jordan - Yay for Izzy's sleep last night! FX for tonight. I hope that your hampers are good.
Flick  I'm not even going to comment on how many times you washed that thing! I'm sure it would be fine though. My sister was in pretty much the same situation and my nephew is fine, and I'm sure she didn't wash it nearly as much as you did!
Gotta go, little miss needs a top up and then bed...

He doesn't seem to respond to books quite as much as he used to.
Neither does Sophia. It's weird, she used to love books and that was always a great distraction ie: i'd say "go and get a book for us to read" and off she'd trot excitedly. Not so much anymore though. Sounds like Cami is in a good routine, well done!
All is well here, just been at my parents for my brother's birthday and it was like a zoo with children, I think my single bro was like :hair::hair: Don't worry mate, just go and have another cigarette outside  I'm just a wee it jealous and can't stop thinking about smoking atm :shame:

OK, I'm back. Little miss didn't want to go down, luckily dh took over b/c I really wasn't in the mood (isn't that horrible!). She just screamed again so I did that one. fx she stays down. Shes usually so easy that I don't have the patience when she's a bit more work. Bad I know...
Anyway, where was I..
AMY - I hope that the chiro can help you.
MICKIE - I hope that things are easier today :hugs:
SARAH - how are you hun?
WAAHOO - where are you?!? :D
GEORGIA - Great photos! I know what you mean by a zoo of children. We went to a 40th this arvo and there were sooo many kids there. It's funny b/c dh used to live in that house when it was a 'boys house', so to see it now all renovated and a family house with millions of kids running around is a little strange. How life changes...

I got my hampers today and the freezer is stocked full we wont need meat or packet vegies for a long time and I got myself about 20 of the meals you just chuck in the microwave because I forget to eat after I cook for DD which isnt good for my milk supply.
Mia your piccies are gorgeous thanx for sharing I will have to upload some new ones to our album to share my fatty with you all  I'm also having a hard time with Hayley she is so different now its unbelievable she will hit pinch and scratch me or scream when she doesnt get her own way I tell ya what sometimes I feel like doing it back but I know it wont fix things so I try to ignore it and its really really hard
Oh Georgia- big hugs for you and Charlie thats no good to hear I hope he recovers quickly its so sad when they get sick so tiny. DD is 2 and has only had prescription medication once but now that DS is here he catches everything from her that she gets at kindy :( your pics are beautiful too
Kat- at your DH about having another pup instead of a bub I love love love staffies my brother had a miniture one named Chyna she was all beef but such a shorty, he has mental problems though and couldnt take care of her so when she ran away he left her at the pound I bet she's loving her new caring owners now. Izzy was great again last night I've realised if I wake him about 4 give him a bath he's back to bed before 7 and wont stir til midnight sometimes 1am
I'm off to tackle the washing
love to all

Grrrr - I just lost about 15 minutes of personals! F@ck (F@ck) I hate it when that happens! Here we go again:
Danielle - notice that Piper has gained less than Nevada - PM me if you wanna talk. Ultimately, as long as she is gaining, and is happy/healthy, and having wet and poo nappies, then keep BF. Keep putting her on the boob and demand feed. Get rid of the dummy too! Also, use the ABA phone counsellors - it made a world of difference for me!
Kat - hows the suspected mastitis? I hope you are ok and you got through it. Also, if Cass is smiling whilst crying it might just be a wind smile. They are still cute though aren't they!
Jel - so sorry to hear about your dog honey! But you made me laugh that your "roughnut" DD2 was frightened of a 7 week old bumbling puppy - very funny!
Judy - WTF about your dishwasher!!! I would be fuming too. It is definately worth the wait. Mick put mine in yesterday (one of those fandangle 2-drawer ones), so I am in heaven right now!
Gremlin - yay for you getting rid of that pillow. My LC asked me why I used a pillow, coz I have my natural pillow to use! She said that is why women still have a roll post-birth, and she's right! Piper nestles on mine perfectly, and it must be a sore sight for anyone who sees it! Oh well, better than a screaming hungry baby!
Kymmy - must go check out J on facebook - good luck with your 8 week check. Piper has hers on Friday.
Leece - go get that bleeding checked!
Amy - hi chicky! Been missing you on facebook lately. I've been flat out, and lent my lappy to my SIL so haven't been on as much. She's just started photography and is doing all the local childcare centres. I've swapped the use of my lappy for free childcare photos! :smiliedance:Sounds like a good deal to me!
Also, what a little heffer you Abbie is! Great weight gain!
Flick - yay for Hunter's fever breaking. Isn't it bloody awful when the newborns are sick. It just breaks your heart! Alo re: the rocker, I think you may now be crowned the "Germinator!" Pop it in the sun for the best natural germ killer, but I think you've got it covered! OR you could just buy a new one which are really cheap for about $30! They are meant to be great though!
Jordan - yay for the hamper coming. very exciting! Also, yay for Izzy sleeping!
Mia - so pleased that Cami is a sleeper - so is Pip! Piper sleeps from 11pm - 7am, then through the day has up time for about 1 hour, then sleeps for about 1.5 - 2 hours. It's fab! However, she doesn't settle if we are out and about, but who am I to complain???
Georgia - thanks for sharing the pics chick! They're great. I must get on and share some more. Piper's hair is lighting up, she's definately going to be a blondy like her sisters.
Will come back for a personal update - gotta go have dinner!

OK, I've had my dinner (was very yummy), so I'll put a quick update of me on before Piper wakes up for her feed.
Friday: Mick's birthday. Gave him the mug, and he cried! He loved it (yes, he's a snag!) We went out for dinner and had a lovely time.
Saturday: I went to Yarra to a hens night. I stayed at my mums, and left Piper with her for a couple of hours while we did a paddleboat cruise on lake mulwala. It was very nice!
Today: I drove home early, then we spent the day at the botanical gardens. They had an annual picnic in the park, and it was fairies and dinosaurs theme! Met 3 other families there, and had tonnes of fun! Got a bit too much sun, and had an hour nap this arvo!
I hope you are all well,
Chat soon
Cass
Thanks for those newsy, happy updates Cass! Sounds like you had a great weekend.

Sounds like a lovely weekend Cass! I can't believe Piper's hair is turning blonde as it was sooo dark
We went down to the each this arvo and had a good play in the sand and there were nice shady its for me and Charlie to sit and watch his nutter sister. His rash has gotten worse poor man but he seems a bit happier so hopefully he's on the mend.

Hey girls
Cass - sounds like u had a great weekend.
Georgia - hope Charlie is better soon.
I had such a bad afternoon. I managed to lock Abbie & my keys in the car when we got to mums today. I was so upset & scared as it was a hot day & we were parked in the driveway. Thankfully my younger bro was there. He managed to break in. Still feeling crappy bout doing that. Such a bad mummy feeling u get.

Good morning ladies! Is everyone ready for a new week? Mine is going to be quite busy so it should be interesting.
I have read through the last few days worth and am relying on memory instead of opening another page to do replies so I'm sorry if I forget anyone.
First of all - everyone's pics are just adorable! Our babies have all grown so quickly and they have changed heaps already.
Felicity I agree with Cass.....you ARE the germinator! Good luck with finding a new net...you should be able to get one at your local baby supplies store.
Cass glad you had such a great weekend and your SNAG loved his pressie.
Jorja Hi and welcome to the Septemberries! As you can see it gets quite hectic in here at times but it's always a great place to hang out in.
Jordan I hope Izzy let you get plenty of sleep last night.
Amy what a sh!t about locking Abbie in the car. I'm so glad your brother got her out quick smart. Don't feel bad about it.....I locked DS2 in the car when he was a baby but fortunately I had the spare key in my bag.
Leece please get yourself checked out asap. Clots like that are just not right.
Georgia I hope Charlie is ok and you have a better day than the night you had.
Lisa where are you hun? Haven't seen you in a while and have been thinking of you and Oscar.
Me - DS2 went to a birthday party at the swimming pool on Saturday and my gf brought him home only to take him to her place for the night.....so it was very quiet here. I had DD in bed at 7:35pm (straight to sleep) and Deon was in bed at 8pm...worked out perfectly as a gf came to visit for the night while DP went to gf's to see her DH. A girls night in was just what I needed.
Deon had a good day yesterday....so well that he went from 9:30 last night till 6 this morning! I wonder if that'll continue...would be nice if it does.
Today is Mums & Bubs group, tomorrow my Chrisco will arrive, Wed is a free day, Thurs DS2 has the day off school and DD & Deon get their immunisations then Frid is a shopping day. I'm gonna want a rest next weekend.
:hugs: to all and :goodvibes: to those who need/want them.
Hi Ladies
Thought I would pop on while Zarah is down.
I must say September baked some pretty stunning bubs.
Jel - sorry to hear about your dog. I know what you mean about protection. We have three dogs and two of those are rotties so I always feel safe at home.
Amy - your a great mum and you must have been relived that your brother was there though... I think it is one of those things that can happen to anyone. I had a friend who gave her 14 month old the keys to play with while she was putting her in the car and her DD locked her out of the car. She called RACQ and they were there within a couple of mins.
Judy - I bet you are happy that Deon slept through. :fingerscrossed: it will continue for you... We had a second night of Zarah sleeping through from last week and then went back to our normal sleeping habits of wake during the night.
Nothing much to report here... had a relaxing weekend with DH so that was good... below are some updated photo's of Zarah

Hello everyone! Like Lisa I have a catnapper too so find it really hard to post all the time but I do keep up with everyone's news - or try to anyway!
Today is my first day back at work (hence I have time to post!). So far so good - have expressed twice successfully so let's hope it continues that way.
My little one has decided she is able to go 7-8 hours without a feed at night which will be bliss once I stop waking constantly to check on her:D. She has also decided she can go back to sleep for another 2-4 hours after her early breakfast - cow didn't ever do that for me when I was on mat leave!!
Lisa glad you are managing without DH - it's just so much easier with an extra pair of hands isn't it? I always find after the weekends it was a rude shock to go back to it just being me!
I haven't ha a chance to look at all the pics but I have to say Nevada is just divine!! Will have a sticky beak at the others soon and try to work out how to post some of my own...

 ladies I'm baaaaack ;)
Well, my break has been almost 2 weeks, and I reeeeally want to come back, so I have used my time and sorted myself out, and worked out my day and I now have a schedule of sorts :o, (all be it a very flexible schedule) because I miss chatting with you lovely ladies and watching your gorgeous babies growing.
WELL! We have had a good couple of weeks. Addison is growing beautifully, smiling and cooing and never being any more than a quiet, placid baby. She never cries. Ever. She loves her swing, her rocker and laying on her mat on the floor. She is now sleeping in her cot full time, and has a small nap in the morning and afternoon, and sleeps 4 hours straight through the middle of the day. She wakes up at 1am and 5am for feeds and from start to finish I am back in bed after 15 minutes.
She has grown so much, and is in 00's and is very long. I'll take some photos tomorrow and post them for you to see my gorgeous girl.
Yasmine has been accepted into Kindergarten 3 days next year, so that is very exciting. And we have started Dance classes, and she will be going every Wednesday. 'Miss Louise' is so happy with her that after 1 lesson she said that she will be fine to go in the concert on 6/7/8 December (4 concerts  over the weekend). So that will be exciting and ever so cute.
Liam is such a big boy and being such a 'boy' boy - loves getting dirty and his cars and trucks. We have stayed with Mum and Dad for a few days and he is always in the shed, and on the tractors and motorbikes!
We have finally made a decision, and will be moving back to Brisbane at the end of 2009. Much less money, but a stable home life for all of the kids, and importantly, for Yasmine to start Prep in 2010. So I'm looking forward to living in our own house (which I have to find!) and settling down then.
Well that is a bit of a catch up with the kids - I don't think I will be able to catch up 2 weeks worth of goss so I hope I haven't missed too much! ;)
:hugs:
hi guys
thanks lucy that means a lot to me i think she is beautiful but all mothers do hey:laughing:
cass thanks for the offer i think we r just going to have bubs that dont want to put on weight
i have put her on the bottle all the time now and have found teats she likes so we will see
hope everyone is having a good day
I put J in size 0s mostly. He fits 00 just.
He is so happy. I got a dream baby this time.
Hi everyone, we had our MACH appointment today too! It went so well (I am not depressed according to the scale, heh) and Cameo has grown heaps which is lovely. Georgia I have put the numbers in your new thread but anyway she is up to 5.44kgs which is ninetieth percentile. We're a bit excited/surprised about this because DS quickly slid into the 30th percentile or so. She's a pretty easy baby, eats well, sleeps well etc, but I think a huge difference is how chilled out we are and how easily we have fitted her into a little routine that works for all of us.
 everyone i am seriously just popping in really quickly to say hi, i have not dropped off the face of the earth!
We are doing really well, rhylan is doing so well :)
I will hopefully be able ot catch up with you all soon
bed is calling

Lucy - Great to see you back. How are you finding work? Are you using day care or family help?

Well last night was a write off , waking every hour or so , cant seen to kept her swaddled at the moment , she wriggles out of it , so with her arms loose she startles herself or gets cold !!! oh well , This too will pass!!!!!
:hugs:
Good morning ladies
Donna Glad to see you back :hugs:. We were missing you while MIA. Sounds like the kids are all doing well and you must be happy you have made a decision about where to live. Now the house hunting begins.
Danielle Nevada is just adorable and well your little man in very handsome :bee:. They look so cute together!
Mia Cameo is growing very nicely, so, how many rolls does she have :detective:.
Lucy  at work, how do you do it? Yay, for the long sleeper you have there. Oliver too gets up for about an hour and goes back down for a further 2 hours or so which is great as I can attend to the boys brekky etc.
Lisa See, I knew you would be fine, it just takes a little time luv :yelclap:. Pics of Oscar would be great, would love to see how your little man is growing.
Kymmy Size O's !!!!!! Still pretty much in 000's here.
Toni Oh, Zarah is adorable! You look great too! Thanks for sharing.
We are getting so many smiles and little noises, he pretty much gives them everytime requested now. Also, the crying thing he had going on has stopped, he loves just lying around looked at things and his face lights up when the boys are near. They are suprisingly really good with him and have never to-date done anything horrible, they are very protective of him.
I have been playing Army Men and cricket the past 2 days....boys!
Feeling very awake today which is quite exciting not to feel flat and drained LOL!
Gremlin I have already checked your pics out :goodvibes:. She is just lovely and so chubby! I hope the escaping stops soon, they are such wrigglers and so very good at getting their blankets off.

Oh we have some adorable babies from September don't we?! Sooo cute!
Mia - great that Cameo is doing so well weight-wise!
Loz - to be honest I am finding it not bad - I miss her of course, but so far I haven't wanted to pack up and go home:D
My husband is staying home with her on the weeks my boss is here (2.5 of those left this year) and on other weeks i work parttime and can take her in with me. Next year there will be a childcare centre where i work which will be really handy!
Jemima is having her vaccinations tomorrow and I am interested to see how much she has grown since 6 weeks... she is 2 months today!
Let me see if I can manage to make this link work...
HI everyone,
Loving the pictures
Judy: love the socks on DS!!!!!
Lucy: we also have a cocker spaniel a blue roan, she is about 14 now and a bit deaf and blind but they are nice dogs.
Loz: thanks for looking at my pic ,
what do you girls do with your bubs during the day? do you set them up in a rocker and just walk in and out my little bub needs me around all the time , will look at stuff on play gym for a bit then crack it. probably normal baby stuff i guess. being my first not really sure!!
 to everyone else
Hi everyone how are we all??
Well i am a bit excited today as my little man slept for 7 hours last night! I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but he slept in his own room for the first tme. We did this because DH has the flu and i didn't think he should sleep in the same room, i really don't want the little guy to get sick! So i'm hoping that he continues to sleep well in his room, i'm wondering whether it might be because.. if he is stirring and then we roll over or something it may wake him up, whereas in his own room he doesn't get that... not sure though!
Now i do need some help with something though.... i was telling you all about how Blake wakes up early in the morning and is quite unsettled. I'm wondering whether it's because he doesn't like sleeping in his cradle when its day time. Because when i put him in the cradle for his day sleeps he will be asleep for a little while and then wakes up and cracks it... i dont know what i need to do to make it known that this is where he sleeps... i'm thinking maybe if he's in his swing and then he falls asleep i should take him out and put him in his cradle so he knows that's where he has to sleep. Other than that i don't have any ideas??? Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Here are some pics of my little man!

Ok catch up time.......
Toni luck wasn't on my side....Deon didn't sleep as long last night but I sort of expected it. Zarah is another little cutie!
Amy enjoy your train trip and time away.
Danielle Nevada and Tarrant are both gorgeous!
Lisa good to hear from you...get your butt into gear and get some pics uploaded. If I can do it then you can too. :p
Lucy how nice of bub to behave and sleep so well now that you're back at work. I wonder if she knows that it makes your life easier?
Donna (Sissy) welcome back! Great to hear that you enjoyed your time away and are refreshed. Addison sounds like such a good little girl....I wish Deon would never cry.
Kymmy OMG size 0 already! Wow J is a bigger buddha than Deon already.
Mia the 90th percentile is great..Cameo sounds like she's making it too easy for you.
Mickie glad you're still around and enjoying Rhylan.
Georgia great idea for the thread. I'll add to it when I haven't got a toddler on my knee.
Mish Tahlia is beautiful even if she is a houdini. I'm guessing you noticed the Carlton football socks....Nanna has already begun brainwashing the poor little man.
Loz Oliver is going to love having such adoring big brothers around when he gets a bit older. Think of all the wonderful things the boys will teach him. ;)
AmyLou Blake is a sweetie. I'm not sure about what others have done but I have always put my kids in their own beds when it's nap time so that they know that their bed is for sleeping in. Could you try getting him to sleep in his cradle each time? He'll eventually get the idea and settle without problems.
 to everyone else.
I'm still waiting for my Chrisco to arrive....I hate it when I HAVE to stay home. It makes me want to go out even more. :(

HI everyone,
Lucy: we also have a cocker spaniel a blue roan, she is about 14 now and a bit deaf and blind but they are nice dogs.
what do you girls do with your bubs during the day? do you set them up in a rocker and just walk in and out my little bub needs me around all the time , will look at stuff on play gym for a bit then crack it. probably normal baby stuff i guess. being my first not really sure!!
 to everyone else
J is the same - she's fine amusing herself in her cot or her chair for a while, but then she needs to know someone is there! I find if I really want or need to get something done the best way is to have her in the Ergo and carry her around with me.
We have a blue roan cocker too - I just adore them, they are the best doggies!

OK, here are the photos - I know you've all been bragging, but it is ME who has the most beautiful baby! And here is the proof!

Right, now that I've proven that, here's my update! Not much going on. The girls totally TRASHED their playroom on the weekend, so I was least impressed when I went out this morning! Other than that, things have been good. Did a day trip to Beechworth yesterday, and visited my SIL and niece, so that was nice!
Also, I was feeding Piper yesterday, and she giggled for the first time :cloud9: It was so nice, but she was on the boob at the time, and was half-asleep, so I'm not sure what was so funny! But it just made my heart melt.
OK, now for personals:
Jorja: Hello! Love your name, it's Baylee's middle name! Welcome, and please make yourself known.
Donna: YAY, You're back! Missed you chick! It must be a relief after making that decision - whatever is best for your family honey.
Gremlin: Very cute pics - thanks for sharing chick!
Also, I'm hearing you about hte lack of swaddling ability! Piper is a little Houdini too - but not at night which is lucky for me (doesn't make you feel better though!)
With her day routine, she's still very sleepy. She wakes for a feed, then has a play for about 20 mins (usually tummy time or just chatting with mummy), then she's tired and she goes back to her cot. Look for jerky movements, and grimacing in the face, and that indicates its time for her to go to bed. If you look for those cues, then she might not crack it as much (you may already know this, but thought I'd put it out there!)
Toni: You and Zarah are beautiful!
Danielle: I'm sorry to hear that your gorgeous girl isn't putting on weight, even with formula. Keep us posted.
Mia: So nice that Cami is a little porker! Bay was a 90th percentile bub too (so was Piper originally!). I like them chunky!
loz: so nice that your boys are protective of Olly! Also, yay for the gooing! Isn't it lovely when they become interactive!
Judy: Oh, your little man is gorgeous! Especially the smiley one!
Have you gottne your Crisco yet?
Is it worth it? I keep thinking of getting a hamper, but never get around to it! I am not convinced that it's worth the money though!
Lucy: Jemima is a little cutie! Love the hat!
Amy: Blake is a handsome little man isn't he! I love the bath picture.
Leece: Good on you for doing bootcamp - I need to do something! I just don't have the motivation!

Cass unfortunately my Chrisco hasn't arrived yet. Delivery times are 7am - 7pm so there are 2hrs left for them to get it to me otherwise I'm gonna ring up and hit the roof. I find it is totally worth it but I do stick to the food or grog hampers. The other stuff isn't worth it cos you can always find things on special by the time the following November comes around.
Leece all your energy is making me tired. Good on you for getting into excercise so soon hun. I wish my lot would allow me some time but I think I'm going to have to wait until Deon gets into a day time routine before I can hook into my pilates. :(
I rang my plumber today and he's still stuck out at the local McD's....apparently it's a huge job and he won't be able to get here till next week. So I'm going to make a few calls tomorrow and see if I can get someone else to install it. I want my f****n dishwasher !!!
Sorry......Tantrum over now.
oh my god
all ur kids r soooooooooo cute what a spunky bunch of kids

Summer is 7 weeks now and gaining staedy weigh, my only dramas is nappy rash. She is on S26 AR and has terrible nappy rash no matter what I do it doesn't go away. She is wearing babylove nappies and I have used curash cream and sudocrem.
Could this be the formula or the nappies????
Does anyone have any other cream suggestions or home remedies???
Thanks ladies

Danielle great news that Nevada has put on some weight. She must be so tiny being that she's still in 0000's. Deon is in 000's but is in 00's in Bonds Wondersuits. Bonds are always a size smaller though.
Deb your webpage is gorgeous as are your kids. Have you tried good old zinc & castor oil cream for nappy rash? DS1 had nappy rash and I tried all sorts of things but the zinc & castor oil worked a treat. Herron make one that you can get from the supermarket. Also do you use talcum powder? I reckon Cornstarch powder is the way to go as it's all natural and great for sensitive skin.
Mish I agree with Mia...darken the room and see if that works. Yes, my Chrisco arrived 10mins after I posted earlier....the frozen stuff is put away but I'm yet to sort out the other hampers. They're cereal and grog hampers but DP can sort his out on his own. ;)
Kellie Zeke and Rylan are adorable. Sorry to hear that xDP is being a sh!t.....I really hope it cools down for you before he gets back. Is he staying with you while he's back or somewhere else? Somewhere else would be good so that you don't have to be put through any more stress. :hugs:
I'm crossing my fingers, toes and everything else that my little Buddha boy sleeps better tonight than he did last night. Wishing everyone's bubs do actually.

Had a look at your pics - your boys are gorgeous! You can definately see that they are brothers!
Anyway, here is another pic of Piper, Mick took it, and she's actually doing a decent smile. Pity its a bit blurry, but you get the gist! Also not sure my 'rotate' worked, so you may need to tilt your head

Hi everyone
All the bubbas are sooooo gorgeous, I will try and up load some pics of my boys soon.
Hunter smiles and goos and gars non stop... hes having trouble drinking his bottles cause he wont stop smiling it makes my heart melt... he too is giggling.. last night at about midnight i was changing his nappy... i had to turn on the light.. so he was hungry and blinded and he still smiled and giggled.. espically when i was asking who has a stinky tooshie!! hehe im not normally a baby talker.. but he giggles and smiles when i do!
Well girls I might be missing in action for a while... while things are much better with hubby were having massive problems with Cooper... i think its a mix of Hunter arriving and problems with hubby and i and the unheavels etc... and also too since I was in hospital with Hunter and Cooper stay at Nanny and Poppies they have been giving him soooo many suggary treats... im so strict on food im make almost everything he only ever has basically fresh fruit vegies, steamed meats etc... but lately hes been given cordials, lollies, chocolates, lamintons, etc etc the list goes on... hes not my little boy.. hes soooooo hyperactive, voilet towards Hunter, hes completely out of control... I know part of it is trying to get attention now that hes not the only child but i am hoping the rest is just excess sugar that hes not use to... ive spoke to my folks and we are all agree he is not! to have anything with sugars preservatives etc...
has anyone else had this??
im going to MIA for a while try and sort sooo much out thats going on... i will be thinking of you all and will be back soon, i cant live with out you girls!
Hello there, I don;t feel like saying Good Morning, too sleepy here :). Oliver fed twice lastnight and well that is even enough for me, quite burnt out at the end of the day and really need at least 5hrs of straight sleep. :fingerscrossed: tonight is a bit better!
Thanks ladies for sharing all your lovely pics of your little ones, I just loved looking at them all. What a bunch of cuties!!!!!!
Dibbles My definite cure/prevention for nappy rash is Desitin cream and I reackon huggies are better than BabyLuv. I would use Huggies whilst you are clearing up the rash. Get some Desitin and lather it on, it really works as it is very thick and does barrier the bottom really well.
Gotta go, Oliver is crying...
Will be back on for Chrisco talk, I get it too!

I will give a change of nappies a go and try the creams mentioned.....

Hi All
Judy - you must have some magical crossed fingers cause Zarah slept for 10 hours last night. this is the third time she has slept through since last Thursday. I hope Deon was a good sleeper for you last night.
Cass - I have to say Piper is pretty darn cute. I still can't get over the amount of hair she has.
Gremlin - I had a lot of issues with day sleeps as well. Zarah was really unsettled for the first 6 weeks and was a shocking day sleeper (and we had a lot of feeding issues too). I spoke to my GP and she told me start relaxing. If she does not want to go down in her cot during the day I just chuck her in her swing and try not to over stimulate her. This seems to work, but in saying this she has become a better day sleeper and will go down in her cot most days now. She has only just started to enjoy her gym as her hand eye coordination has become a lot better (this started at around 8 weeks).
Kellie - sorry to hear about your X... Hopefully he will stop being such a turd and come to his senses...
Loz - I hope Oliver lets you sleep tonight chick. I know it is all part and parcel of being a mum, but it is hard to function with little sleep.
Flick - GL in sorting out Cooper. We have yet to get giggles but geting lots of smiles and talks.
Us - we are still going well here. I ran out of thickener yesterday for Zarah's bottle and could only get her to take 20mls before she started screaming. So we had to do a mercy dash to the shops and I think I have learnt my lesson not to run out of thickener again. I got my AF as well yesterday which explains why I was a narky cow to DH on the weekend. Everything he did irritated me which is usually not the case... Oh well..
Hi to all that I have missed...

Good morning girls !
My little Buddha boy slept from his last feed at 8pm last night right through till 5:30am. So I got just over 6hrs solid sleep and OMG it feels good. If this continues (even every other night) then I'm gonna be quite happy.
Cass the pic that Mick took is absolutely gorgeous! Piper still has those adorable cheeks that you just want to kiss and squeeze.
Felicity I'm so sorry that you're having a hard time with Cooper. Have you tried cutting out all preservatives in case that's the cause? Some kids get out of control on all the additives in foods these days. Take all the time you need and we'll be here thinking of you and waiting for your return. :hugs: hun.
Loz when does your Chrisco arrive and what did you get? I got the large brekky hamper, Boys night in hamper and Frozen snacks hamper as well as a Cocktail hamper (that is going to last for quite a while) and a Beers of the world hamper for DP. So far I have unpacked all of them bar the grog hampers.
Sorry your little man didn't let you sleep last night...I DID try and send everyone's bubs some sleep vibes but obviously Oliver didn't get his.
Deb good luck with the creams.
Toni holy sh!t @ 10hrs sleep! Well done Zarah! It must have something to do with her middle name being so sweet. What a bugger about AF....I don't think I'll get mine for a while as it didn't return till DD was 6-7 months old. But that might be cos I'm BF.
OK I couldn't resist this one.....I got the cutest smile out of Deon this morning and had to share it with you all. CLICK! (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/album.php?albumid=323&pictureid=2335)
Just clicking all the pics!

Judy - that smile from Deon is just gorgeous! They just make your heart melt don't they :bee:
Kellie - a gorgeous pair of boys you have there! Too bad xDP is being such a sh!t to appreciate what he has with you. Big hugs.
Danielle - Man, Nevada must be TINY! My kids barely fit into 0000's at birth.
Deb - Good luck with the nappy rash. My kids only ever got nappy rash when they were teething, I wonder if Addie will be the same?
Mish - I think problems with Day Sleeps seem to be quite common at this age. I know I have the same problems with Addison, and I have just stopped stressing and going with the flow a bit more. She had some fantastic sleeps in the cot on the weekend (up to 4 hours) but is back to cat napping, and in the swing this week. So I'm trying to go relax a bit more, she will grow out of it.
Cass - gosh your girl is gorgeous with her dark hair! Do you get stopped a lot by randoms to talk about how gorgeous she is? DD1 had a ton of dark hair too, and I found she got the most attention as a newborn/infant then the other two.
Flick - Good luck with you DS1 and finding out the cause of his full on behaviour. Definitely try cutting out the nasty preservatives from his diet - I have seen it work so many times.
Loz - I hear you on the sleep! I am finding it so difficult to get out of bed lately. Addison is not going down until 9-10pm, and then Liam is up at 5am, and I am up between 3-6 times in between that  I hope you are having a restful day ( funny aren't I?)
Tls - Bad luck getting AF back  I am expecting it any minute now. I got it back at 12 weeks with both previous kids even with fully bf.
Today is a quiet day - Yasmine is at school. So taking it easy with my 2 little ones today. The house is a mess (of course) but not motivated at all. I'm thinking of watching some of my Greys Anatomy Season 4 DVD's while the kids have their sleep :o
:hugs: to all

Hi girls
Well it's that time again, and we were off to the chemist for photos this morning. This month's theme was christmas, and Piper was dressed up in this cute little outfit - can't wait til next week to show you the results! She even smiled for the photographer :yelclap:
I'm excited about tonight - we have the info night for Bay's school next year! I can't believe it, but my gorgeous little girl will be in school in less than 12 weeks!
Toni: Thanks for the compliment about Piper - yes she is a bit cute isn't she! Bummer about running out of thickener, but as you said - it was a lesson learned
Judy: Yeah, the other girls had the cheeks too. I'm just waiting for the cabbage patch comments to start! Both the other girls looked like CP dolls, and I used to get constantly stopped by strangers. I didn't believe ppl until I put kaidy next to a doll in Kmart, and it was the spitting image! I'll see if I can dredge up a pic of the other girls to show you what I mean. Also, don't you just love those big smiles like Deons- you know the ones, where if they smile any harder their face will crack!
Donna: Yes, I do get strangers stopping me down the street to comment on how cute Piper is :goodvibes: I also got it with the others. One thing I know how to do is make beautiful children (even if I say so myself!) Although I could write the script:
THEM: "Look at the hair"
ME: "Yes, my others had it too".
THEM: "Oh, it'll fall out soon"
ME: "No, the others didn't even get the bald spot"
THEM: "You really must have had awful indigestion"
ME: "No, not with the first two, and only a little with Piper"
THEM: "It must be an old-wives tale then, but I know a person ..... "
Thanks for sharing the pics - LOVE the one with Liam - go the hair!!!!! What a cack-up!
I hope you enjoyed a lovely day of Greys! It sounds like heaven to me!
Kymmy: J is just gorgeous! He has the most beautiful eyes! He really is a big boy isn't he!
Everyone Else:  hello! I hope you are all well!
Judy Oh, what a good little boy Deon was lastnight. Olly has only done 6 or so a few times but always does 5 except for lastnight. He is asleep now so I had better get the washing in (tonnes of it ) hang more out, cook dinner and bath boys......the list goes on, we are certainly underpaid for our occupation!
My chrisco isn't due to middle December, got it heaps earlier lastyear. We are getting the Cooking Hamper (love the apron and Hat, we have one and needed another), Italian, Crackers and Dessert . Lastyear I got heaps of frozen stuff which was great too.
I also signed up as an Agent so my sis and mum got 10% back each. I am going to sign DH up as a new customer  so I can get a $100 and reduce my order as he has to spend $500 for me to get the $100....oh god, I sound like a dodgy agent LOL!
Kymmy Oh J is adorable and very chubby, gotta love the chub! I wish Olly was a bit more chubby, it is coming but slowly.
Donna I actually just tidied up , how did that happen :). I can't remember my login for facebook and couldn't check out your pics, will try again later.
I tried on some clothes in Target today and I looked horrible. I had a full view front and back . I need to tone and my tummy is still quite big and this is the main problem as I can't zip up size 12's but just fit them everywhere else. I find myself playing with it LOL, I can roll it around.

Morning lovely ladies
Kymmy - J is just gorgeous :bee: Glad he is sleeping well for you!
Cass - Ohhhh, that photo sounds just gorgeous! I am very guilty of not getting nice photos done like that which I always regret :crying: How did the info night go? Must be very exciting, Yasmine doesn't start prep until 2010 and I am excited already
Loz - Hon, you are gorgeous! Don't worry about the evil pants. And if you are fitting in a size 12 everywhere else I am seriously envious. Although, have you found your stomach is MUCH flabbier and .... hanging lower :o.... compared to your previous 2? I am finding no. 3 has absolutely ruined my tummy :crying:
Addison slept really well last night - 8pm until 5am which is fantastic. Unfortunately Liam woke twice in that time, but hey, you can't win them all!
She slept well yesterday, a nice 3 hour nap in her cot.
I had better go and get Yasmine ready for daycare - drop back in later :)
good morning everyone

Hi everyone,
Thanks for you ideas on getting tahlia some more daytime sleep. Yesterday i had her go down in the cot 3 times!! but she was up at 3:30pm and couldnt get her to sleep again anywhere , so she hung out in the pram etc till bath time . as you can imagine after all that time awake it took 2 hours to get her down last night.
She is currently asleep in the sling , i dont care where is sleeps as long as she gets some.
Kymmy: yay for the 7 hours!!
Cass: do you miss the kids when they go to school.. there is a baby on the bonnie babe ad that reminds me of pip everytime i she it i think of her.
hi to everyone else : some of you sound very perpared for xmas with all the hampers, Loz you could probably make a few bucks as a agent from the girls on here !!!!

Dantaz - Yasmine will be one of the youngest too  What is Taz's birthday :detective:
I have just put Nicholas down for a sleep :fingerscrossed: he goes to sleep as he seems like he needs it. Oliver is alseep too and James is sorting out the hundreds of puzzle pieces all mixed up, he is really good at them .
We were supposed to have mums group today but it has been cancelled so just hanging at home now which I don't mind at all.
I tried washing the car this morning, it is so dirty and the boys wanted to help :hair: and Oliver was whinging in his pram so gave up. I think I will drop it off at a car place and get it done by them every 6 weeks or so.
Gremlin Did Tahlia sleep for very long? it is hard when they won't sleep in the cot and in the end like u said u don't care where they sleep as long as they sleep.
Donna LOL at the Evil Pants , spot on there luv! yes, it is definitely hanging a bit lower. I kinda like higher waist pants as you can tuck it in LOL but they tend to lift it all up and make it stick out more....very low is good as there is no pushing but then the white flabby bit hangs over the waist which is not a nice sight if you pull your top up to breastfeed.
My friend gets her boob out from the top to feed but I always pull my top up, either way, all is revealed .
Ok, enough whinging, how is everyone's day?

Loz - my sure fire guaranteed strategy for Evil Pants... only ever shop at places where the sizes run large! Enables me to live happily in the lovely land of denial...:D
Lucy LOL! I tried on a pair of size 12 jeans in Target and couldn't get the legs on therefore the waist....gotta luv stretch!
It is quite peaceful here atm ...the little ones are sleeping :goodvibes:.

Hi Girls,
Haven't posted in a while! Miss Amelia has become a real Mummy's Girl and does not like it when I either put her down or leave the room! Therefore - no time for the net or the housework! The house looks disgusting and I really hope the noone drops over here before the weekend when DH can take Amelia for a few hours and I can get stuck in to the cleaning!
All is well here. Amelia is loving her bottles! I had her measurements done today and I am so excited that I have to share! OMG - She is 12 weeks old today!
Amelia has gained another 560gms in 2 weeks! I am stoked! She is definately thriving on the formula. She has jumped from the 3rd to the 5th percentile for weight (I am excited - even though some of your bubs are in the 90th percentile - OMG!!!) And she has jumped from the 10th to the 25th percentile for height! Some serious growing going on here!
She is gonna be a tall skinny girl like her Daddy!
Sorry girls, but I can't remember much else! Will do the few personals I can remember...
Cass - Sooooo glad that Piper is gaining weight and you were able to continue BF! Well done chicky! A huge pat on the back for all your efforts!
Dani - I hope Nevada starts gaining weight soon for you hun. It will happen soon I'm sure - after 3 weeks on Formula Amelia has grown out of most of her 0000! Nevada is just adorable! - Great prof pics!
Kat - Thanks for the Hello a few days ago luv! How are you and Cassidy going? Also - how is little Caitlin? Hope the little cherub is still doing well :)
Loz: LOL at the pants situation! I am doing WW and every week I keep hoping my old Jeans are gonna fit - still no luck, but that won't stop me from trying them on continuosly!
Kym - Yay for J's first squeal! How delighful!
On a final note...I have to agree - all the Septemberry Bubs are a gorgeous lot! All so happy and alert! Must be their lovely Mummy's! xoxo
I will try and upload some pics I took of Miss Amelia yesterday shortly...

Hi everyone  What gorgeous photos everyonehas posted - thanks!
I've been reading everything, but haven't had time to comment. I have no idea how you ladies with multiple kids manage to be on here everyday - I guess one day I'll learn.
Loz - I hear you on the pants. I'm currently just stretching the waists of my pants - with a nice roll over the top. I hope Nicholas has slept well for you.
Lucy - I like your stretgy! I use that one myself often!
Judy - any luck with the dishwasher yet?
Gremlin - well done for the sleeps in the cot! I have been having trouble getting Cass to sleep in her bassinet during the day, she is currently sleeping in the swing. I mentioned it to the mchn and she said not to worry as long as she sleeps and she should grow out of it.
Cass - lol about the same conversation over and over. I get the same with people commenting on her eyes. they all say to her - "wow, what big eyes you have" and then they look at me and back to Cassidy and say "you have your mums eyes don't you".
Danielle - looking forward to seeing the photos of your tatt.
Donna - yay you're back! We missed you!
Amy - where are you?
Lisa, Jordan, Mickie, Leece- :hugs: I hope that everything is going well.
 to everyone I've missed.
A big wlecome to the new comers! Speak up and don't be strangers.
:hugs: to everyone who had their vacinations this week. Cassidy had hers on Monday and it was horrible! I think I will always remember that scream! The next one is when dh is on holidays so he can come along and hold her so I am not always the bad guy feeling horrible.
I'm still having problems with bugs on my washing. It's taking me forever to bring the washing in trying to get all the bugs off. I am sooo hoping this is just a passing thing as my mind has taken over and I constantly feel like I have bugs on me now, even though I don't.
Have to go, little miss has woken up...

Donna (smiley) hey sweets. how are you guys going. Hope all is well on your side. Would love to hear an update when you have a chance.
we're going good thanks for asking.. had a really good week.. i think em's going thru a growth spurt today gosh she wont sleep and she keeps acting hungry.. the last growth spurt nearly killed me lol... we're getting her reflux under control too..
everyones bubs are soooooo cute..
Can I ask where is everyone??? it isn't quite 6am LOL! Probably still in bed:hissy:!
Sarah :smiliedance: for Amelia's weight gain!!! She must be getting some serious rolls starting now. She is just adorable, gotta luv her smiley eyes. Thanks for sharing, another cutie!
Donna (smiley) Glad to hear the reflux is settling down. Oh god those growth spurts can leave you quite tender, hopefully it will settle today and you will probably be much fuller this morning from all the sucking yesterday.
Well, I'm up with Olly and everyone else is asleep. He only went 4 hours lastnight then had me up for an hr then another 3 so all in all not too bad. He sleeps quite heavily of an arvo then only gets up for an hour or so and wants to go back to bed. He slept heaps yesterday during the day, 1 hour, then 3 then later on did another 4.
We have playtime this morning from 10-12pm so kinda looking forward to taking all the boys to that. Getting them all in and out the car is quite an effort.
Oh well, Nicholas is waking now......let the show begin!

Smiley - Growth spurts are so tiring! I hope it passes soon, and you can get some more sleep!
Loz - Wow you are up early today hon! I hope the boys enjoy their play.
Well, Addison is sleeping soooo well at night at the moment. Last night was 9pm until 6am! :smiliedance: Fingers crossed it keeps up! She is now sleeping nicely in the cot during the day which is great (used to only sleep in the swing).
No plans today, maybe grocery shopping this afternoon, or maaaybe send DH after work
Any exciting plans for the weekend ladies?

Kat - Thanks for the Hello a few days ago luv! How are you and Cassidy going? Also - how is little Caitlin? Hope the little cherub is still doing well
Hi Sarah , sorry, I missed your post yesterday, I must have been typing at the same time. I'm so happy to hear about Milly's wight gain, that must be such a relief for you.
We're going well thanks, I can't really complain. Caitlin is also going well. Her hair is growing back now that the chemo has stopped ans she's no longer fed through her nose, she is actually eating and with a good appetite too. That's a huge step for her. :smiliedance:
Can I ask where is everyone??? it isn't quite 6am LOL! Probably still in bed:hissy:!
I was up! I usually am at 5am. I'm getting good at knowing if the guy across the road with the V8 is on time for work. He usually leaves at 5. He was 5 mins late today. Gee I'm sad.
Little miss decided she didn't want to sleep last night. Down at 9.30, up at 1.30, down at 2.30, up at 4.30, down at 5.15, up at 7.15. Now I know for many that's fantastic, but I'm used to 11- 12 hours from 9.30, getting up once around 4.30 - so I'm not happy! LOL - I guess I should just count my blessings for every other night. She's not settling herself as well as she used to - is anyone else finding that? Also, when do we stop wrapping them?
OK, I must go clean the house so that dh thinks that I do something all day. I am so tired at the end of the day but for the life of me I can't tell him what's taken up my time!
Hi everyone
haven't been on in a little while so have a bit to catch up on!
Katie - yep so far today I've been finding Darcie is having trouble settling and I'm wondering if it is because she is fighting against the wrap. I wasn't planning on unwrapping until about 3 months when they begin to lose the startle reflex. good news about Caitlin!
Donna - :yelclap: for Addison big sleep - lucky you! Any idea if northside or southside when you move to Brissie? It would be great to meet up when you move down cause Liam is only a month younger than Cooper and Darcie is only a month younger than Addison!
Smiley - glad to hear the reflux is getting better. And hope the growth spurt passes quickly!
loz - have fun at playtime this morning! And how do you get all 3 in the car? Do you have all 3 across the back seat? I find it hard enough getting the 2 in!
Cass - can't wait to see Pips new Chrissy photo! Santa is coming to our local shops tomorrow! Can't wait to get both the kids done!
Kymmy - awesome about J! It's great watching them learn isn't it!
I know there are so many ppl I've missed so a big  to you all!
Us - Darcie had her 6 wk checkup yesterday and is now 5050kg up from 4630kg at birth so pretty happy! She has been sleeping pretty good untiil this morning and she has been really hard to settle! Anyways can't complain cause she is just sooo gorgeous - am completely in love with my kids atm (even if cooper is hitting the terrible twos early!) Started on the wii fit yesterday cause i got my all clear from the obs. very ouch today but am hoping to get back my pre pg weight by Chrissy!
anyways enough :ecomcity:. have to go and clean the house and make mil b'day pressie!
cheers shaz:D

Hi chicks
Ooh sounds like my night Kat  It's recommended to stop wrapping when they can roll over. I stopped with Sophia around 6 months though. Great news about Caitlin :yelclap:

Kat - I stopped wrapping Addison around 8 weeks, because she was always escaping, and getting a bit frustrated with the wrap. And that is fantastic news about Caitlin, that must be a huge relief for you and your family .
Shazza - We are hoping to buy in Cashmere (hopefully acreage), or failing that Joyner or Warner. Whereabouts are you chick :detective:
Aaaaand I've forgotten everything else I was going to say.....so I'll be stopping now
Last night was the first time J was unsettled and didn't know what was wrong. Wasn't sure if it was too hot, maybe his nose was blocked or he was just overtired. He had his eyes closed as he cried and refused to latch on for feed.
It wasn't for long but we are so not used to that! He had a long sleep this morning to catch up I think.
Donna I swear it was 6am when I posted this morning and not 5am.... I am sure that's what my clock said. My post says 4:59!!! That sounds so early.
KatieLou, Georgia and Kymmy Sounds like you too had a bit of a night, well that makes four of us, I felt like I was up and down.
Can't wait for the day when he sleeps longer.
Shazza Lots of fun getting the all the seats in, we all seem to fit though .

I hear you on the 3 seats Loz
They fit - just - but talk about trauma. I have Yasmine in the middle, and have just changed her Maxi Rider to a H Harness - and OMG! It is a serious effort to get her in now, so many seatbelts to feed through here and there, and then I have to stick my hand down in between 2 carseats to do it up :hair: - and I am usually squashing Liam and he is cracking it at me at the same time  And if I am really lucky Addison starts screaming because it is hot in the car, and it is taking so long to get started :crying:
And yet, I love it all......

Same here .
I seem to be the only one able to do up James's booster seat, I can do it up with one hand down the side now :yelclap:. I miss James having a car seat with the buckle as he could do it himself. I need to buy James a new booster, do u recommend the Maxi Rider, I hear it is pretty good.
