I'm thinking Sunday morning. Although if I go Saturday morning I can be Chloe-free :D
I think I have 2 for 1 entry coupon hanging around if anyone wants it. I doubt Dave will go with me so I have no use for it.

Hoping to go on Sunday. We have a big day on Saturday, so we'll see. I'll have a pink ribbon with a little pink horse on it hanging on the pram, so if you see me, give a hoy!:D
I think it's looking more like a Sunday outing than a Saturday..... I'll make sure I have a pink ribbon tied to the pram too... stroller or pram.... so crowded at these things... probably the stroller actually.
I am hoping to go, Sat or Sun not sure yet....
i'll also have a pink ribbon tied to my pram

Don't feel this way! It's for everyone including those yet to have children. What a great way to do some planning for things like 'what to buy' etc...
Those who are going have said they will wear or put a pink ribbon on their pram, so if you go, maybe you could pin a pink ribbon on your shirt. Might see you there!

how come no one wants to come on Friday???
Any way, I have to get personal leave either Friday or Saturday to make it, and decided I will go on Friday, as I can earn more on saturday to compensate for it. . I don't have any pram or stroller yet, but I might bump into a few of you that I have met. Have fun ladies.

just though in case anyone is intrested there is a tread in the freebie section, where you can print off your free ticket, I am sure if you were planning to go, the $15 can be better spent somewhere else.

We'll be there on Sat. Will look out for pink ribbons on prams just in case any of you decide to show up on Sat. Heh maybe I'll tie a pink ribbon on my handbag :). Enjoy your weekend ladies.

 That's why it's Sunday for us! School open day on Saturday.
I might get there...
It gets a bit much with 3
Have to take public transport...
Maybe on Friday with hubby, its his RDO:fingerscrossed:
I'm going Sunday morning too - DP is going to drop me and Eloise off and come back for me later. Not sure what time though, depends how long it takes to get organised.
I will have a hot pink ribbon tied to the front of the pram - the shade thingy.

This was posted in the SE mums forum a while ago and I know I got a freebie entry for myself and my DH. I'm not sure if there are still some available but might be worth trying if you are planning to go. It gives you 2 free entries and as it was posted in a quiet thread, there may still be some available. Good luck!
See you there!:D

Mental note to self: Buy pink ribbons. Do you all really have ribbons lying around the house?
I'm hoping to avoid the stroller, though that may be a bad idea  So pink ribbon will either be on the stroller or tied to my huge black purse.
Rach, let me know what time you're going and I'll snag the other half of your ticket or do a 2 for 1 with you.

I made a few toy horses recently and just fluked grabbing a pink one to hang in front of hamish in his pram. When I was rushing out, I thought, I need some ribbon to tie the horse to and the first bit I saw happened to be pink! Bizzare, subliminal bubhub thing, I suspect.
You reminded me of how awful it can be pushing a pram through a crowd, so I may put bub in his hugabub and tye the pink ribbon on the front. We'll be the family of 5 struggling through the masses!:D
Excellent! Hopefully we'll all be able to meet and maybe have a coffee!
Martha - I'm a ribbon/wrapping paper/gift box freak so I ALWAYS have ribbon around - I'll bring extra just in case for you!!
Rach, let me know what time you're going and I'll snag the other half of your ticket or do a 2 for 1 with you.
We're going to endeavour to get there at around 10-10.30. DP is dropping me and E off out the front and I think we're catching the train home. I'll give you a call in the morning just in case you don't see this! Eloise is already excited that she's going to see Chloe again!!
Tracey & Sal - I'll have my valco stroller with a pretty pink ribbon tied somewhere, probably one on each side or something silly!!
BTW if anyone wants a free ticket - click here for a double pass (http://www.parentingaustralia.com.au/guestinvitation.htm)
Has anyone been already? How was it?
you probably guessed by now that i didnt get there
see my thread "worse two days ever.." if you want to know why :(
I hope it was fun and that some of you got to meet up

Yes we managed to get there today. I kept an eye out for pink ribbons and what do you know? There was Rachel (Razzle) and Eloise! So I took a big breath and said.................."I have to ask-Are you from Bubhub?". And she said yes:yelclap: . And standing beside her was Martha! So I (briefly) met two of the mods. I say briefly because we happened to be standing right near the stage and a performance began which didn't particularly please Hamish. He has low tolerance of noisy outburst's and was decidedly unhappy about it so we had to move on pretty quickly.
To Rachel and Martha, it was lovely to meet you. I apologize if we moved on suddenly and missed the chance to have a bit of a :ecomcity: . I had DH with me-did I see yours?-so it was probably not going to be an ideal time to hang out and natter anyway. I will hopefully get to a Melbourne meet in the near future and I can enjoy girly time a bit more. I don't know about your DH's but mine will patiently wait while I chit chat but I know he doesn't really enjoy it.
As for the expo, it was quite interesting. If I was having or had just had my first I would have gotten a lot out of it but being on baby 3 we are past a lot of it. Already have the 2000+ toys/books etc... I did buy a copy of Pinky McKay's book, Parenting By Heart, so I am pleased that I got to purchase something. Also she had a flyer about a new book launch on Saturday, 8th July at 2pm at Borders bookshop in Chady. It is to launch her new book, Sleeping like A Baby. You can get more info from www.pinky-mychild.com (http://www.pinky-mychild.com)
I must say, it was rather disconcerting to have a complete stranger nervously ask if I was from Bubhub! But it was lovely to meet you and hubby Sal - and that little Hamish is so scrumptious! I just wanted to give him a big squeezey cuddle!! Don't apologise for moving on - it's no wonder that Hamish was annoyed - that band was dreadful! So noisy and very amateurish, not at all conducive to :ecomcity: . Sal - did you speak with the lady at the Pinky stand? She was so lovely, and a doula. Poor DP was doing laps around me trying to get me away!!
I had loads of fun! I'm a sucker for a pamphlet and free sample and I came home with an ENORMOUS bagful!
I must say, the highlight of the day was when I was waiting for Martha to catch up, and standing in front of the Belly Belly stand. I was whispering to DP that "the stand behind me was one of bubhub's rivals" and as he looked over my shoulder to check out the competition, the YWS came over and DARED to give my bubhub babe a helium balloon. Poor me was speechless, and had to trek around the rest of the expo with a helium balloon advertising someone else's site! At least I had two HUGE pink ribbons on the pram, so the people in the know would know who I was really supporting!

I was practicing being in the 'location' you claim to be-Boo, right behind you!
I found it pretty nerve racking too but once I had spotted you I knew I couldn't not ask. I would have come home and felt like a dill getting back on bubhub and claiming not to have seen you! You did look a little taken aback when I asked.
I didn't know Belly Belly was a rival-we got two balloons from them! When we got home DH showed the children what happens when you suck on Helium-they thought it was the funniest thing they had ever heard. DH ended up feeling sick.
LOL! Eloise was letting her balloon float up to the ceiling and just thought it was the funniest thing to keep letting it go. After about 300 times, daddy didn't seem to think it was as funny anymore.
I probably looked taken aback because I'd completely forgotten about the pink ribbon by then. I immediately thought "oh ****, time to get rid of that photo in my avatar!"

It was great to meet you Sal, and I'll have to just repeat what Rach has said - Hamish is such a cutie. All your little ones were actually, and SO well behaved! I hope we'll see you again at a meet soon.
I didn't get a balloon, from Belly Belly or anyone else, much to DD's disappointment. I didn't find the expo to be that great. I'm glad I went because I did pick up a bit of useful info & entered every single free-photo competition, but if I'd had to pay to get in I'd have felt quite ripped off. Thanks for the entry coupon Rach!
Yeah I'm glad we didn't have to pay - $15 is a bit steep for the size of it - it was really small. I must admit that I'm looking forward to the Pregnancy, Babies & Children's Expo (http://www.pbcexpo.com.au/) coming up in October. I've been to one of these before and it was huge. I got loads of free samples. ;) Here are the dates (http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/forums/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=658&day=2006-10-20&c=8)if anyone want to be reminded!

I expected it to be smallish compared to the Parents, Babies and Childrens expo and would probably not have gone without the free tickets. We wanted to check out whether it would be worth it to have a display there so I was kind of 'casing the joint' and questioning those that had displays/stalls.
Oh, and knowing I may meet a bubhubbian or two was also an incentive to go!:D
We were there on Sat but did not stay for too long. I'm glad we did not have to pay to get in either. Yes $15 per entry is a little steep for the size of the event. Will be planning on visiting the event at the Melbourne Exhibition Center come Oct.
Glad i didn't make it then!
