Hi everyone
My kids love fruit salad so I used to let them have a fruit salad from the canteen everyday - however, unfortunately the canteen has closed:(. So I have tried to put the fruit salad in their lunchboxes in every type of container I could buy....but, the all seemed to leak which ruined everything else in the lunchbox..
Does anyone know of a superior type of snack box that doesnt LEAK!
TIA
fruit salad can be a hard one because sometimes the gas's expand and "pop" the lid.
Have you tried popping the container in a snap lock bag? You can rinse them out afterwards too and re-use them.

I put a small container in a snap lock bag too.
We find it works quite well because we add a spoon/fork in the bag for DD1 and she doesn't have to go through her lunch bag trying to find it.

I bought the kids those insulated packs that keep the lunches cool and I sometimes freeze a small icepack or juice box and include it in their lunch boxes. My son loves cheese sandwiches, but not when they are 'sweaty', so I know it works. My DS 1 and 2 love salads and they reckon lunch is fresh. Before I used to have them return their lunches uneaten.

thanks ladies, Ill give the snap lock a try....;)
I kwym about the sweaty sangas, my kids were the same, I thought they were just fussy until I decided to eat one of their sangas that came home BLERK, the glad wrap changed the taste.
So I now wrap everything that doesnt have its own wrapping in GLAD BAKE, you know the stuff that is like tracing paper. It allows the sanga to breathe - now I dont have one rejected sanga come home again!!

Have you tried Sistema containers.... I use them for P's daycare lunch and have had no leakages whatsoever..... even Yoghurts safe in those ones....
My mum always made our sandwiches on frozen bread. That way they acted as their own coolpack and were fresh and nice at lunchtime!
Fruit salad is a tough one. Ziplock bag inside a small container to stop it getting punctured would be the best way I can think of.

Tupperware snack cups... they have a liquid tight seal and have never failed for us. The trick is to put the lid on then "burp" it, that is open it a crack and let the excess air out, it is then meant to be liquid tight, although only with cold liquid I think. They are not cheap but we couldn't do without them.

Glad actually does a range of really good snack size containers..
I give the kids fruit salad, tinned fruit etc and use them - never have issues with leaking.
They are in the kitchen aisle section where all the disposable platic wares, water jugs etc are
They are an oval shape, clear with a blue lid. About $4 for a set of four.
