G'day all. The forecast for Tues 16 May is sunny and 17oC, so DD and I are going to head to the urban farm at Coopers Settlement (Bundoora Park) in the morning and see the animals. Probably around 9:30am. If anyone wants to join us we'd love some company :) There are also several good playgrounds (free) in Bundoora park itself if people would rather meet there.
Coopers Settlement (http://www.darebin.vic.gov.au/Page/Page.asp?Page_Id=355&h=1) is at Melways 19 F4 Admission is $6.50 adults and $5 for kids over 2. A bit pricey but nice if you time it right for the lamb bottle feeding.
i'd love to come as Samuel would just adore it ! but Ethan is still a bit difficult and at that time of the day wants a bottle, some solids and then a sleep which is often hard to do out in the open..iykwim?
Perhaps next time when Ethan is a bit older ?
Have a fun morning :)

Yep, I know what you mean about Ethan. I stuck pretty close to home when Chloe was that age :) There is a cafe there, but not as nice as at Jells Park I think.
I know it's a bit far for a lot of the southern & southeastern mums to come up to, but I figured there is at least a handful hanging around up here who might be interested.
Oh... and Chloe has developed a cough too. She sounds like a sad seal :( Going to be a long night I think.
bummer about Chloes cough !
Sounds like her and Samuel would be a fine pair tonight :(
Hope you and i, Chloe and Samuel all get a good night sleep :fingerscrossed:
I would have loved to have come but Coban has a cold at the moment and he has a nap at about that time anyway!:(
I still plan on going to Rare Bears so i will see you then.:)
Hi ladies,
How are you all.
We won't be there tommorrow but hope you have a great time.
Martha...Chloe sounds like she might have some croup...Hope she gets better soon...PM me if you want to talk more about croup, Jake has recurring croup and as a result we have the medication here at home in case of an attack...
Samsmum04...I hope Samuel gets better soon too...
Speak to you all soon.

Well it looks like it will just be me and DD being chased by chickens  But just in case anyone wants to turn up at the last minute, we'll be there at around 9:45am. I'll be in a blue jacket and DD will be wearing a jean jacket with pink fuzzy vest and yellow Hi5 gum boots.
How did you go Martha !?
It was a stunning day for it

We went. We patted. We played. We cuddled rabbits and ran from the scary geese. One of us got head butted by a goat and cried :p DD got to bottle feed a sheep and was thrilled. Mum stepped in much poo and was not so thrilled. But it was an excellent morning out.

Oh poor you  hope you brought the tissues !!
Sounds like you had a fun morning and hope to join you next time

Lol Tracey :)
Although it's a bit pricey ($15.50 for 2 of us including a tractor ride to see the kangaroos and emus), I do recommend it as an occassional outing for anyone in the area. We easily spent about 3 hours there. I probably could extend it to 4 hours if I'd brought lunch or with slightly older kids as they have a good playground within the farm area, but DD wasn't very interested in it.
