I am only 4 weeks, but since finding out I cant sleep! I try to go to bed when I think Im tired but then I lay there for hours. Then I wake up at 4.30am / 5.30am and cant go back to sleep. Is this normal?
Hello
Congrats on your pregnancy! :D
I had the total opposite as I couldn't stay awake!! However, I didn't find out I was pregnant until 5 weeks along and then I guess it was a week or so after that the exhaustion set in. I was sleeping over 12 hours a night and waking up tired  ...I really hope I don't have the same thing with my next pregnancy as with a toddler it will be harder to catch those zzz's!
:hugs:

I often get insomnia related to hormonal changes... even the night before my period is due. I must just be very sensitive to the hormones. I've had it at various times in my pregnancy, it's just getting bad again towards the end of my pg. I was online a couple of nights ago... I just have to get up sometimes as there is no way I can sleep, sometimes a candlelit bath helps too.
Hope it wears off soon, you might find it gets better in your 2nd trimester... but it might not! :fingerscrossed:

I am glad someone mentioned this.
I am not sure if I am pregnant yet but might be. For the last 4-5 days I have been so tied but just lay in bed till I got so bored that I'd get back up and look on bub hub. Then hours later finaly go to bed and make myself sleep.
I then get up early, like 4 am:eek: but usuly at 6am.
I usuly love sleep and never have any problems.

I had the same thing. The sad thing is, since giving birth it has gotten worse!! Now my darling is sleeping after a feed and I lay there for hours trying to get back to sleep! Doing my timetables in my head helped clear my mind!
