Hi Michael,

As the big bad dad mod I have been reading all the posts and it sounded like you were getting good support & advice so I stayed on the side lines.

However happy to reassure you that we do have some Dad's in here. We need more!!!! But we are here! In the meantime I would like to thank all of the ladies who sent you messages I thought they were very positive!

I think being a single parent is not only a full time role, it is almost one of the most important jobs going. You not only care for your little one but also what you do with them has an enormous effect on the sort of person they become.

Having said that it is REALLY important in my opinion to set boundaries. Having fun is really important but you also have to make sure that they know when they have crossed the line. Be firm but fare.

Mate, it sounds to me like you are doing fine. I can tell you ASKING for help/advice is smart & BRAVE.

I say brave because I think there are HEAPS of Dads out there with questions who do not ask them. So well done

Good Luck
