I started diabex xr 1 1/2 weeks ago and have noticed that my appetite has completely disappeared... im actually having to force myself to eat so that i have something in my stomach to be able to take the tablets... Dont get me wrong this is a side effect that i would very happily live with, but was wondering if anyone else felt the same?
In the past couple of yrs i have absolutely craved food... i mean it was always on my mind... and now nothing? It's kinda making me think i might have really been craving food because my body was outta whack, and now its more normal? Or is it just mild nausea without the nausea ifykwim...
Also, on a more embarassing note... I've noticed my nipples have been semi-erect fulltime since starting the meds  anyone else noticed this as well?

I've noticed a decrease in appetite too but also I'm not taking my tablets properly. I think the met could be the reason I was getting what could be discribed as pregnancy signs. I've now got AF starting so I know it wasn't pregnancy. I'm constantly nauseous which I'm sure is because of the met. Also I'm very irregular in the bowels. One minute I've got the runs and the next I'm blocked up. I get thirsty on it as well.

awww im sorry AF has started CD :hugs: did u O this cycle? i guess its a good sign if u were in with a chance this time, means the met was doing something right!
I've been really lucky with the other side effects and havent suffered from any of them (YET! I'm still only up to 1000mg but :fingerscrossed:). strange how it impacts on appetite
are u going to stick with it?

i am going to be sticking with it. My problem is just remembering to take it. i remember for a few days and then forget for a few. Wouldn't be doing me the world of good i don't suppose. And I have been told that the side effects decrease as your body gets used to it.
When I was talking to my endo he's pretty confidant I'm o'ing because I'm getting all the right signs at the right time. On top of that I have a very regular cycle. Its usually 26 days but every now and then will vary to 25 or back the other way to 27 or 28. When your cycle only varys by 2 days max I'd consider it regualr lol. As I've said before my endo's doubting I have PCOS as well and is very confidant in me being pregnant by the time I go to see him again in February.
I'm not too stressed about AF showing up. I've joined the weightloss challenge too so I can full go at that and concentrate on getting me well for a couple of months while DH has his hissy fits about his health. We'll just continue to "not prevent" lol.
