Miscarriage common signs

i was just wondering what the common signs of misscarriage are?

cramps i think. spotting ...that maybe builds up. any signs of that and feet should be put up for some R&R

Yes, cramps, spotting and just generally feeling unwell. I got horrible headaches with my 2 m/c and felt really ill before getting any cramps and bleeding.

I had a threatened miscarriage when I was 6 weeks pregnant with DD...I was tumbled over with tummy cramps (couldnt move because it was hurting so much) and also had bleeding... I can imagine that a real miscarriage would have similar to worse pain?

oh yeah i remember now. with my second m/c i was doing a session with a personal trainer and i was struggling but i kept pushing myself but she was trying to ease off because she knew i was struggling and that i was pregnant. anyway, on the way home , i coughed or sneezed or farted or something and accidentally pushed a big clot out. and that was the start of it. nothing leading up to it from memory.
my first one started with light spotting and went from there. i experienced light spotting in the 5-6 week of my second pregnancy, but that was fine.

When i had a miscarriage I had spots of blood but didnt think it was a m/c then i started getting really big clots coming out (tmi?!?) & some cramps after a few days.

I had very light brown discharge for a couple of days, no other symptoms at all. From there I went to the hospital, had the news confirmed and had a D&C preventing me from progressing the miscarriage naturally.

the reason i ask i because im currently 8 weeks 4 days

i have been spotting since monday on and off, but i had no pains

today at work i had sharp (stabbing) pains near my right hip. I have already had a ultrasound to see if it was ectopic at 5 weeks 6 days, and everything was fine. and i saw the heart beat and my little black blob.

but tonight i have been spotting again and have pains like period cramps but not as bad, im really worried now.

has this ever happened to anyone else here?

I had a few light bleeds. No cramps. Rang hospital quite abit and everytime they said that it was normal. Went for 12 week scan and found out the baby did grow. Had a D&C at 12 1/2 weeks.

I agree, ring the hospital and they will probably ask you to come in to get checked.

I had seen the heartbeat of my little one at 10 weeks and the OB gave me the 'ok' as everything was in the right place. Unfortunately even though the chances then were very very slim, we lost the bubba.

There could be many reasons for what you are going through and many ladies on this have been through major bleeds and pain and still have gone on to have health pregnancies. A call to the hospital may get to the bottom of the issue and help put your mind at ease.

I started bleeding at 8and a half weeks, and bled continually with lots of pain (and later clots) until 14 weeks when we lost our angel. I was told i was one of the unlucky ones, and that bleeding guring pregnancy is quite common!

My mum, she bled continually throughout her pregnancy with me, and i came out fine!

I had period like pains around that time too. I don't know if it was still implantation pains or what but nothing bad happened so I assume it was just the uterus stretching which apparently is normal.
Like you I was dead scared. I was looking up about the signs and incidents of misscarriage and worrying myself sick about EVERYTHING!!!
HOWEVER, you scense of optimism will return!!!!
I hope everything turns out okay and the worry is simply preparation for the heartaches of parenthood!
And BTW sometimes the pain turns out to be gas.........

I had period-like pains with my pg too, and was told that can be normal - its usually the ligaments that hold the uterus in place stretching as the uterus grows.

However, the pain combined with the spotting I'm not sure about. I would definately call the maternity ward at the hospital. At least to get some reassurance.

i woke up this morning to bleeding :(

so i went to see the dr. he sent me for an ultrasound. everything is fine a baby is just as it should be for 9 weeks:smiliedance: . heatbeat beating along as it should be:yelclap:

there doesnt seem to be any reason for bleeding. so i hope it has gone away :fingerscrossed:

im still worried though, im not going to work tomorrow and just going to take it easy.

So glad to hear that bub is fine. There can be many reasons for blees during pregnancy. They dont always mean the worst. I am glad you and bubs are fine. Look after yourself, rest and relax and try not to stress too much - easier said than done I know, but it will do you the word of good.

hi guys i am just new to this web page , im quite worried as i am bleeding as well , i am about 6 weeks and started bleeding 5 days ago though not heavy i have had period pain though mild , i hav gone to the doctor he performed an internal ultrasound and external ultrasound and had not found anything he then sent me to the hospital as their equipment is much stronger , they found no baby with the external ultrasound though with the internal they found a sac with a yolk , since then i have bled lightly and im just wondering if the internal exams that i have had may have increased my bleeding . i am yet to go back in 2 weeks and get an ultrasound and i hope the heart beat will be seen , id just like to know if there is anyone out there who may have had the same problem......... :(

i had an internal ultrasound at 5 weeks 6 days as i have quite bit of pain in my uterus and right ovary. and they thought it might be ectopic.

but they did find my just under 5mm black blob and its heartbeat. they found why i was getting pain, something i my right ovary had a small bleed.

i have read that internal ultrasounds can cause some discomfort, and a bit of spotting.

babys are very small at that stage, if they found the yolk sack, im sure the baby will be in there just 2 small to se right now.
