car seat ratings

i'm in the market for a new carseat and remember reading somewhere that they had ratings.
I'm after the web site for these rating cause i assume it would be like car ratings and everything is on the web....

When you say rating, do you mean a safety standard acceptance or a consumer type rating? I did my research not so long ago and at the time the studies on car seats were fairly out of date compared to the models that are now on the market. I looked up the NRMA and RACQ sites but they only had old studies (from around 2000) so not as relevant. I'd be interested to see what you come up with.
