View Full Version : Wanting to put tot in cloth - advice plz
I have decided to put toddler DD back into cloth. I used the old fashioned terry toweling ones on her when she was little for a while but gave up (got pregnant again, too lazy ).
Im after some of the pre-shaped ones this time. Can anybody recommend brands and websites to get them off? Also, what exactly will i need?
Thanks

If you are quick there are some good specials on AIO's (all-in-ones) which are waterproof and basically just need washing and drying.
$18-$20 a nappy, if you look where the specials are. :D
Hope that helps. :)
Oh, and watch out! Its addictive.
Whats a good brand for AIO's?
And cloth nappies addictive?? Im not sure about that but bubhub sure is.

Oh but they are!
You will see. ;)
I personally like Baby BeeHind Magic-Alls.. and am just about to try some BumGenius. They are both on special if you know where to look. :) Under $20 a nappy.. GOOD special.
Have started to google search alot more...getting very confused!
Do you need a different type for the night? Or just a booster?

Start with just daytime nappies.
Once you get a good feel for how much your bub wets and which ones you like, then progress to nights.

Since it is SO easy to be overwhelmed I'd say a few different ones, to give different brands and styles a try.
Then when you feel you know which features you like and which you don't, you can buy more and more and build up a stash.
Most of the people on BH who have big stashes have acquired them over time, after knowing which ones they like.
Hope that helps a little.
Im already overwhelmed. Why does there have to be so many brands?
I am feverently hoping i do not get addicted and build up a big stash. Im hoping to get enough to do DD.

From the top of my head, some stores do packages which have different brands which u can try out. What i found is that what works for one person doesnt work for others & u'll hv preference to some over others. I like the Baby Beehinds but they dont really work on my bub so try different ones before buying a stash otherwise u might regret it. Buyforbaby is certainly good to look thru when experimenting which nappy is good :) HTH & happy shopping!! It definitely is addictive :smiliedance:
I set out in my car today to visit a store about 15 mins away to look at some...AND THEY WERE SHUT!!! They are usually open on Saturdays though. So, i drove another half hour to a store that WAS open. Saw several. Got bamboozeled. Got two different ones to try, a BBH AIO and a Mommy's Touch AIO. Also got a booster so i can try the Mommy's Touch one overnight. Been washing like mad today...
What i didnt get was a pocket nappy - i am not opposed to these by any means, but the ones in store didnt look big enough for DD. What are good pocket nappies?
