I ended up just using terry flats and 'sposies for DD. I got some ezy nappies, but they're very wide in the crouch and just have never sat properly on DD. So, this time around, I'd love some recommendations please. Please let me know the pro's and con's. After my ezy nappy experience, I don't think AIO's are for me, but hey, I'm open to suggestion.

Also, please list off roughly how many you think I'd need from newborn, I'd only like to wash every second day.

Thanks in advance!

I think the general consensus is that baby beehinds, bumgenius, itti bitti's and greenkids make a good nappy. I like pockets because you can add as many boosters as needed, and then separate them for washing & drying which makes drying time much quicker than AIO's. I like the snap in itti bitti's for that reason - they are like a AIO but you can snap out the boosters for washing and stuff. I like the fit of bumgenius, but you can't add anymore boosters for nights or if your baby is a heavy wetter.

For me, AI2's and pockets are more practical (customisable absorbancy & quicker drying time).

Thanks, I did look at the BBH's for DD, but it was about the time that I returned to work and she went to kindy(which provide all nappies - terry flats), so I never ended up going with them. Might have another look there.

Might have to start a list of what to look at!

AIO's / AI2's

BabySafari Stuff & Snaps (Stuffable AIO - Excellent nappy! Very trim, can use extra boosting if you want! Some people find side snaps a bit of a hassle, they don't bother me at all)

BerryPlush (Beautiful but bulky - side snaps)

Dlish (great all rounder, very trim - solid colors)

Iishfly ( have had great reviews, but they didn't work for us. Very trim. Lots of designs to choose from including embroidered)

Twinkly Lily (divine, but very hard to come by. Trim. Lots of colors & designs, also avail in normal or heavy wetter)

Abby Gro (as above but a bit bulky. Minky feels sooo beautiful! Lots of colors to choose from. Rare as hens teeth to get your hands on!!!)

CGR (super cute but a bit bulky & fiddly with so many snaps, heaps to choose from, embroidered too)

Pockets

Greenkids (bulky on littlies but very good!! Hook & loop fastenings which can annoy some people. Lots of designs to choose from)

Bumgenuis (excellent all rounder! Long lasting & dry super super fast! Easily stuffable. Be very careful if buying 2nd hand Version 2's as they have a well known problem of the elastic going in them! Hook & loop)

Baby Kangas ( I havn't used these but have heard good things)

Fitteds

BBH's ( Bamboo is preferred over hemp. I have 4 but rarely use Fitteds cos DS has chubby thighs & I find fitteds & covers are too bulky & cut in)

Got a bit carried away there!! Sorry! Hope that's helpful!!:flowerz:

She does night ones aswell, and is having a sale tommorow night starting 5 pm....:smiliedance:

I cant wait to get my hands on some more, find them to fit the same as her magic all ones, quite trim.

hmmmm

itti bittis are popular .. but I find they fit my chunky boy like speedos .. so I guess it depends how trim you want your nappy to be??

my stash consists of ..
**I love Honeyboys (cherubs kiss are the best imo .. but hard to get .. people fight over them- aio with no PUL - fleece outers instead )
**greenkids (easy to get- PUL pockets easy to use..) ... anytimes are flawless - the funtimes are funkier - but wick faster than the plain (which means they get wet around the sewen areas faster)
**babyhosen (new brand - funky fabrics, have several in my stash - PUL with snap in boosters so AI2s)

if you get fitteds - you MUST get a good cover - bummis or babybeehinds ..

gosh .. I think thats all I have in my stash atm ??? aside from a few well made home-made pockets from another hubber :D .. I've refined my stash .. to only have what works for ME and my kids .. *shrugs* we are all so different

Itti Bitti do a trial pack for $50 that gives you one snap-in and one sewn-in d'lish as well as a mini booster.

I found this a great start to learning more about MCN's.

Definitely Safari Stuff N Snaps! I even use them overnight (12+ hours) with no issues at all.

I love Baby Beehinds.

They do a fitted nappy in hemp and bamboo that need covers, AIO's and MINKY AIO's.

I love them, they take a while to dry but they are VERY absorbent.
