Both kids have broken out in a really bad nappy rash so I was wondering if I should put them in sposies until its cleared up? Can you put Sudocream on their bum when they are wearing a MCN?
Any advice on this topic would be appreciated

if you use a liner it will be ok, otherwise you shouldnt use any zinc based creams against the mcn.

Try sprinkling some cornflour on the rash - usually works well for us. A few weeks ago when DD3 was teething and her poos were burning her bottom I used cornflour because I didn't have anything else in the house and I was really surprised at how quickly it helped clear it up. Nappy free time is also helpful.

My DD2 was quite sensitive to disposables they would give her a rash, and I also had to be careful with washing powders too. Could your nappies need a strip wash - just a thought as both kids have a rash maybe they are reacting to the washing powder?

Also I use a great product called Botty Butter, if you google it you should find it, not much help for you right now though! It just sort of melts onto the skin, it is lovely! Lasts for ages too as you don't need much.

I always use liners when I am using any sort of nappy cream - the 2 I use are Paw Paw & Botty Butter.

Goodluck.

the curash powder works well

I'd also do a hot wash with the canisten rinse when you wash your nappies

Canestan's like an antifungal rinse. I think it's in the washing powder isle.

How is it today?? I agree with what the others have said! Lots of nappy off time, ALWAYS use a liner if you need to use creams otherwise you'll need to do a strip wash.

Make sure your nappies are getting lots & lots of sun to get rid of any nasties.

Goodluck!!

Well the first day they had it I used sudocream with a liner. I find liners rubbish as they always manage to scrunch up and give them a wedgie no matter what I do - I've tried flushable eenie's and bioliners. So of course the cream got on the nappy and I've gotta strip wash them.

Ive been using the cornflour on their bum and its seemed to do the trick quite nicely

I'll monitor how it goes & if they get any more rashes soon I will look at other factors.

Thanks so much for all the great advice :yelclap:
