Yesterday started as any other day drop kids of at school/day care and I will save you the rest of the boring details for i can not even remeber.

Anyways afternoon comes my 2 youngest are asleep dd2 watching scooby doo, I sit down with Dh cousin to finish some work. DD1 is complaning she is board and asks to go play with the little girl next door of course i say yes she has down this a million time before so off she skips. Next thing i hear is a huge smash as i run into the kitchen i see my daughter has ran straight threw the glass screen door. Cuts all over her face arms and neck. I put her in the car and we drove to the hospitil. Their we sat ( now joined by my Dh and daughters father) for 5 hours as they took glass out and put 173 stitches into my baby's body.

It could of been worse( may scar but only very light) but still scary. So just be carefull with kids around glass for after googling it i found it was very commen and she was very lucky that she only got cuts and bruises.

Thank you so much for the warning. Its the kind of thing you don't think too much about until it happens to you.

I hope that your daughter makes a speedy recovery.

She sounds like one very lucky little girl. :hugs: and many, many more. xoxo

i did the same thing when i was a child. since then my parents only had safety glass. and heaps of stickers on them. mum gets the static type ones so the kiddlets can move them around and she can change them for the different seasons - christmas and easter ones are really cute.

:hugs: what a terrible thing to happen.

the glass must have been thin as you wouldn't expect it to break would you?

I hope your daughter is okay, bet you are giving her heaps of hugs :hugs:

the other thing I heard was a toddler standing on a chair and lent on the flyscreen and fell out a window of a flat OMG! just so hard to anticipate these things.

Gosh, thats scarey. I bet you were so frightened.
A friend was in our house last week and her 3 year old ran into our glass doors but he fell straight back onto the floor. the glass is really strong, i dont think anyone could run through our doors.

Thank you for all the hugs I past them on :).

We think that she triped on her shoelace why running and fell into the door. I think i will put stickers on the door in future.
