Yes, I know smart women buy them in jars :D but haven't seen them here yet - so is it grill them till black and blistered, then put under plastic wrap till they shrivel and then peel off? Can you also do it in the oven (I have one of those combined griller oven things)

Found this for you :D

How to remove skin from
Roasted capsicums may look like burnt offerings, but peel off the skin and you'll find the flesh is sweet and tender.

Step 1: Preheat grill on high. Cut capsicum in half. Deseed and cut into thick strips. Place capsicum, skin-side up, on a baking tray and cook under preheated grill for 8-10 minutes or until charred and blistered.
Step 2: Transfer to a heatproof bowl. Cover with foil or plastic wrap and set aside for 10 minutes (this helps lift the skin).
Step 3: Peel skin from capsicum and use as required.

Or ... I'm just plucking at straws here (is that what you say? ... just a little tired tonight and not thinking straight!), but you may be able to put them in hot water as you can with tomatoes?

That's how I do it.
