My six month old has turned from an angel baby into a screaming monster.

Early last week we was a happy baby and from late last week his behaviour has completely changed.

He screams when being put to bed for up to an hour. He screams when left to play on the floor. It feels like he is screaming every minute he is awake. I feel like Im going crazy.

He is teething at the moment, could this be it? I can also see his frustration at being on the floor and not being able to get around or sit up, could this be it?

I really dont think he is sick as there are no signs.

Please help, any suggestions would be great, thanks in advance.

hi, six month old could definatley be teething. You know the baby best, if the screaming is pain, then take bub to the doctor. if the screaming is frustration, try changing positons, see if he is happy to be propped up with cushions. Give everything a try, teething gels, panadol, burping, getting out in the sunshine. If there is no improviment go to the doctors for a through check up. There could be an infection in the ears, throat. good luck, Marie.

:iagree::iagree:
DD was the same went form happy kiddo to wanting to be held and crying all the time was very frustrating.

As far as the frustration goes perhaps a change of scenery is in order. perhaps propped so he can see out a window or outside on a rug if it is warm enough or as my mum said if all else fails go for a walk if nothing else he might fall asleep or at least the screaming/crying isn't as bad as when you are trapped by 4 walls

Trust me I can feel your pain. I look after a little 10month old 5days a week and in the past she has always been fairly happy. However the last two days she has been screaming non stop, she is also teething.

When mine start to teeth I give them some panadol & teething gel. Hang on in there, hopefully it passes as quick as it arrived for you.
