i'm considering these as i want something quick and easy and all in one.. i don't care about drying time, but i don't want to be faffing around with bits anymore (especially not flaps! i'm tired of them).

i'm looking at the smooth (PUL) velcro ones, cos i want velcro, and cos i like microfleece inner better than suedecloth inner.

anyway, i have some qns..:
- how comfy did your bub find these? eg the leg frills, do they chafe?
- with the added bamboo booster, how absorbent did you find these? did they leak or wick?
- are these sized large or small or spot-on? do very lean toddlers need to go to a large size before TTing?
- what would their resale value be,
if in good used condition?
- have you seen any around second hand? i've looked on b4b and ebay..

thanks!

 i LOVE my magicalls:D i love my minkee ones and the PUL ones... they look great, they are a bigger fit than my large ittis and look like they'll see her out of nappies easily:D

the added bamboo insert gives us about an extra 1-2 hours depending on the time of day but she seems to like these ones better than the ittis and with the velvro she doesnt seem to want to pull them off as much:)

i find them to be a great nappy, cute, easy, absorbent... the only down side to these is the drying time but if thats not an issue then they are GREAT!! i've also never had them wick and have never left them on till SOAKING but she has worn them for about 5 hours easy:yes:

OK i am really new to MCN's (normally use terry flats) but i do have some BBH Magicalls, SO to answer your questions :

Bub looks and seems comfy, the leg trims are great stretchy but not enough to leak.

Never used a booster, i use them for daytime nappies and they haven't leaked yet, get a good couple of hours out of them before they need to be changed.

I have large size for my 7 month old bub, she is about 8 kg now and they have stacks more room for growing, the tabs on her meet up so i would say they would last for quite sometime yet.

I brought mine secondhand off a lady, they where in excellent conditions and i paid $15 each, actually a bit less coz i brought a few plus other brands and she did me a good deal.

Dunno where to get them secondhand, i dont think ebay is allowed to have secondhand ones for sale. Maybe you could do a post, i see on bub hub they often do swaps etc.

I have never used the nappies for night, i have others for this purpose, they do take sometime to dry but you mentioned you dont mind, i have hung a rope up from fence to patio so nappies get the sun all day and they dry! on my line it is mostly shaded so its no good.

Have you looked into loulounappies? I have ordered some they are AIO and look similar to BBH but with funky patterns and heaps cheaper.

I love these nappies. They suit my DS well.

No the frill doesn't seem to bother him at all - he seems comfy in them.

I find them to be the most absorbent nappies - we get up to 3 - 4 hours and he is a very, very heavy wetter. No wicking, ever for us.

My DS is in a large and has been since he was 10 months old. He's long and lean. He has heaps of room in them though, they will last til TT. When I got them they were a bit big but I could see he wouldn't be in mediums for too long so I swapped them for larges. Even when they were too big we never had a leak from them.

In good used condition you should be able to resell them for a reasonable amount. They are pretty easy to get hold of so don't have awesome resale, but you will definitely be able to sell them.

Ebay won't sell them 2nd hand. Look on monkies undies, b4b, oztion. If you're going to buy a few new, go direct to BBH and ask for a bulk discount.

I have 6 of the minkee's and am very happy with them
Both my kids are wearing the size Large, they fit my 16m.o very well, and my 2 year old but it is a lower rise on him, they are both average height and size.

The absorbancy is good - my kids are heavy wetters and these easily last through a nap.

They are comfortable and cute, only problem i find is they take a very long time to dry, but that's to be expected with AIO's anyway.

I have a couple of Magic-Alls and they're fun. :) I love Baby Beehinds a lot, they really are great.

If you get in quick, darlings Downunder has a few left in newborn size in purple, green, pink and white and medium and large in pink for only $20 a nappy.

They have new Minky Magic-Alls too.

I love love love them. We have 3. I think my DS was in one for about 5 hours today  I asked DF to change him, and I didn't realise he hadn't till we got home from a shopping trip!
how comfy did your bub find these? eg the leg frills, do they chafe?
No comfort complaints here, and he's not chafed so far. Sometimes we get a few red marks, but no more than with anything else we've used inc. disposies.
- with the added bamboo booster, how absorbent did you find these? did they leak or wick? We've never had a wet leak, but he has managed to poo-splode up the back of one, as well as on another occasion into the pocket :S

i had the first lot and hated them. they were horrible. i was nearly turned off them altogether, but i swapped for some of the newer ones and they are fantastic. i have a heavy wetter and can get at least 3 hours out of one. i find the fit really good and not too concerned about drying time, its never been an issue for me.

to answer your questions....
- how comfy did your bub find these? eg the leg frills, do they chafe?
i am guessing DD finds them comfy, the leg frills dont chafe and dont leave any redness.

- with the added bamboo booster, how absorbent did you find these? did they leak or wick? i would only use these with the added bamboo booster as microfibre is prone to leak due to compression, which is the problem i had with the older ones. with the bamboo i find it highly absorbant. i havent had any wicking with these, even when full.

- are these sized large or small or spot-on? do very lean toddlers need to go to a large size before TTing? i find the sizing spot on. they are a very good fit in my chubby thighed toddler. but with the velcro i think they would probably be good for a tinier bubba. for the sizing for your children its best to check the weight recommendations on their website.

- what would their resale value be,
if in good used condition?
i have no idea, i havent bought them second hand. i had only swapped for them.

- have you seen any around second hand? i've looked on b4b and ebay..
as mentioned before you cant get second hand ones on ebay. you could try oztion. i have seen some on buyforbaby before.
