What would you call this as a job

Could anyone help me find out what kind of job this is or along the lines of this and how to get into it.

Helping young mums,looking after foster kids or abanded kids ect...

it would all be under social services and in particular childrens services.

You can become a foster carer by contacting the local agency in your area that takes care of foster care children.

To become a support person, you can contact local agencies asking if they are looking for volunteers in some of their programs. To be a paid support worker, you would need some formal qualifications.

Big welfare agencies should be able to help you. Not sure what is around in your area, but your local council, child welfare department or churches should be able to steer you in the right direction.
