Which do you prefer?

Hi, Im due in 5 weeks and just want to see how you rate the names we are considering. Middle name is Margaret after my mothers middle name.

Ava Margaret
Jayde Margaret
Anna Margaret
Clare Margaret

I like short names that are still feminine sounding, how do you like the ones we like, or do you have any suggestions, thanks heaps.

I love the name Ava, so feminine and pretty. It was on my list but DS turned out to be a boy!!

Some other food for thought... I have a friend whose mum's name is Margeret and she too wanted to name her daughter after her. They ended up choosing 'Maggi' as a first name (short for Margeret) - I thought it was just adorable!

Ava is lovely but far too popular for me.

I adore Ada though.

You could also use the lovely Avaline and use Ava as the nn. Avaline would differentiate her from all the other Ava's.

I think its great that your daughter will have her grandmother's middle name. So nice to include family :)

My vote is AVA Margaret...very pretty and it goes well. Either that or Clare Margaret (being a Claire myself I am biased!) All the names are lovely though :thumbsup: .

This is great, thankyou everyone for your thoughts, so far it looks like Ava is most liked. I agree that it flows really well with Margaret.

We already have a Maggi in the family, which is really cute too.

I know Ava is becoming very popular, but I still really love the sound of it, its my favourite and DH likes Anna.
