Hi, I recently identified a short luteal phase of 9-10 days through charting. I have started taking 1 x 100mg B6 every two days in the hope this will help.

I also want to take progesterone, my FS has suggested suppositories but I have heard natural progesterone cream is better. If you have used either any advice would be great.

Does anyone know where I can get natural progesterone cream as I’m finding it difficult to find, I am in Brisbane.

Thankyou!

I used a natural progesterone cream called gestone. Worked a treat for me! I got mine from my chiro in WA but any homeopath/naturopath should have something similar....even try the health food store?

I have a short luteal phase too. It has been 9 days for several months and then last month it was only 8 days. This month I have ovulated at least 2 days earlier than normal. I've been taking 100mg of Vitamin B6 each day.

I have a cream that I bought from a Health Food Shop that has Mexican Wild Yam and progesterone in it. It's Biogest Menopause Relief....so it's marketed at menopausal women but it is also meant to be good for women with luteal phase defects. Mexican Wild Yam while containing no progesterone is meant to stimulate the production of progesterone in your body. In addition, as I mentioned the cream also has some actual progesterone in it. I can't say how effective it is though cos I only started using it 3 days before AF was due which probably wasn't long enough to work.

Could your fs prescribe a progesterone cream?
