my mum is driving me crazy; she's suddenly gone off cloth nappies and won't tell me why. she keeps buying sposies to use on DS even though she's struggling financially, but insists on doing it despite my urges and conveniently placed/prepared MCNs.

anyway, i'd like to find some good options to push onto her. we used to use fuzzibunz and they were working well until they gave DS nappy rash from chafing legs.

what i want:
- velcro closure,
- complete AIO, no flaps or lay-ins.
i'll consider pockets too, or AIOs w pocket.
- can last 4 hours without leaking (we have a light to normal wee-er)

so.. something like the bumgenius, but with better capacity (we're a bit hit and miss with ours, and i've heard other people complain about theirs too)

thanks..

magicalls from baby beehinds are pretty good. You can always buy some second hand or swap to see what she likes before you buy a whole stash

soo... do you reckon magicalls are better than bumgenius in terms of holding capacity? and durability?

Greenkids with an insert and booster?
yup greenkids .. ANYTIMES .. not funtimes

they would be fine with the boosters that gk sell .. and should EASILY last three- four hours..

they are velcro - tough .. and the openings are firm enough that once you stuff em .. she cant go wrong

Have you tried puting bamboo in your bumgenius instead of the inserts they come with? or using the BG inserts with a GK insert? I use bamboo in my bumgenius and it works well.

We find pockets the best for those who have issues with the MCN (you should have seen how childcare put a berry plush on DS one day even though DH sent it folded right to go on  He hold folded bits hanging out )

Lots to recommend and remembering all kids are different. We usually send the peapods to childcare with DS already stuffed of course they seem to find these ones pretty good and DS can be a heavy wetter at times

I would second some BBH magicalls. They work beautifully for my boy and if you stuff the pocket with the bamboo booster, then they're super easy. My DF can use them, and thats saying something

thanks for your replies..
ok, i am seriously considering magicalls, the smooth ones, as minky doesn't come in velcro (sob!). i'll stuff the bamboo booster into the front for my boy... that should bring it up to 4 hours for us i think...
off to find or start a thread asking about magicalls...

My MIL wasn't keen on mcn. She liked the greenkids though. Easy.
