We recently moved to South East SA and are thinking about making a day trip to Warrnambool next Sunday 26/10. I will be 37 weeks pregnant and it will be my birthday. I am scheduled for a c/section on Nov 4th. So this will be a nice little family trip with DH & DD before bubs arrives.

What I would like to know from some locals or anyone else in the know - what will be open on a Sunday? Basically trying to decide if it's worth coming on a Sunday or if Sunday's are like a ghost town :o

Are the bigger shops open & what about touristy stuff being open? We aren't looking to have a hugely full on day - just a look around and also pick up some groceries from Aldi & generally get a feel for the town for future trips. We are only 2 hours away so we hope to come over more often.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance.

Hi there Im half n hour from wbool and go there often (once or twice a week) warrny is a big tourist destination and has a HUGE play area/lake called Lake Pertobe its amazing ONE LONG strip of playgrounds and walkways and a beautiful lake also across from that is the beach, In the shopping centre you will find most things open from 10-4 Target is Open as well but thats not in the shopping centre, You can go to the whale lookout not sure if there is whales this time of the year though.
