Permed Hair...

Ok so about 2 weeks ago my youngest sister who is doing a hair apprenticeship asked me if I wanted to get my hair permed for training. Now my hair already is pretty curly but I straighten it all the time. So I said yeah why not, it'll be a nice change to go curly:D. Anyways so I got it done last week and then on Friday my SIL goes to me "Did you get your hair permed?" and I was like "Yeah my sister did it for training" and then she was like "Oh! I didn't know people still got perms!". Well obviously I'm not 'With It' enough to know that!

Are perms really that daggy?? Oh My Goodness am I the only one with one??:laughing: I think it looks good and she did a great job anyways:thumbsup:.

I always think of old ladies when i think of perms.

I have ridiculously curly hair that is always straightend but on the odd occasion that i dont straighten it so many people say "oh i love your perm!" :laughing:

Im a hairdresser, while we don't do alot of perms in the salon anymore, they can look good, as long as they are soft and natural looking, not poodle like, IYKWIM.

I had a perm done when i was about 18 or so, when it was done I cried at the hairdresser i didnt like it what so ever they realy didnt do a good job at all. I didnt go outside of my house for like weeks :laughing: I would sit there with a brush and brush as much as i can :laughing: glad it looks good on you :thumbsup:

i noticed young girls are not straightening their hair but fluffing up their curls and even deliberately putting curls in with the irons..

perms will be back in within a couple years you are a trend setter that is all :D

i have naturally curly hair. while i am too lazy to bother with straightening i usually jsut keep it pulled back and in a bun or something out of my way. about a month ago i had enough and went to hairdresser for shearing! i asked for them to cut as much as possible but leave me enough to pull back in ponytail.

grr about an inch short of a decent ponytail, so now it is all curls again and everyone loves my perm! grrr
